...I am experiencing a very poor customer service. A year ago I purchased a A4 TDI Avant from John Fox Audi in Nottingham (now part of Synter) with a FSH and extended warranty for 1 year. At the time of purchase the car had covered 67,000 miles. Two weeks ago the car developed a gearbox fault with was related to the gearboxs ECU unit and input shaft. The dealer Sytner Audi in Slough said no problem - warranty will cover. It now transpires that the gearbox oil was not changed at 40 - 42,000 miles or rather there is no record of it being changed. Audi's warranty department claim its the dealer fault, Sytner Slough say its Nottingham's fault and the Warranty departments. Audi Customer Service Department claim it is Nottingham's fault. Nottingham claim it is Peterborough's fault for not having any records, and yes I'm sat in the middle... Read review

...We bought this on the 'rebound' from the deeply unsatisfactory Audi A4 cabrio we had owned for 22,000 troublesome and very unsatisfactory miles. The car is an oddball, as it has the whole factory fitted AMG body kit, uprated brakes and exhaust, but is standard mechanically. The bodykit really suits the car and makes the standard issue version (on smaller wheels) look like a very frumpy thing. The car has been a paradigm of reliability and service (but only for 1 year !) but, it isn't perfect. The engine is anaemic and gutless - same power as the Audi 2.5 tdi, but half the torque, so struggles to deliver acceleration. Fuel is not much worse than the Audi at around 28mpg overall, but the car is used by my wife for a short, hilly, county roads commute to and from work, so this is not a good indicator. Disadvantages: Poor Customer service - they cause damage to your vehicle and do not care

...the rear pillars; (3) The rear pillars had screwdriver marks on them where the airbag badges were hanging out; and (4) The protector covers on the hinges of the door were not fitted back to the vehicle and were left on the boot floor. All these faults were reported to the service advisor, Rafiq, over the phone immediately. Furthermore, at the request of Rafiq, the vehicle was taken for inspection to the dealership by me the following day to be inspected by Audi Finchley. The Q7 technician, Jerome, came to view the vehicle. He checked the vehicle and advised me that the fault was still present and he clearly stated that when their technicians were checking the motors in the roof they had obviously damaged and dirtied the roof lining and rear pillars and must have forgotten to replace the rear boot door hinge covers. ...Here's my first ever review (again - sorry for posting it in the wrong section before!) I've had my 1998 Audi A4 1.8SE Auto 4 door for 4 months now and it still puts a smile on my face. Whether it's the solid 'thunk' of the doors closing, or the gorgeous tone of the superb 'Concert' stereo, the Audi continues to be a car I will never regret buying. I purchased privately from a family who had cherished the car - it came in superb condition, with low mileage, and a full Audi service history. The light green (Jasper Green) really looks great when I've thrown the sponge on it, and the standard 16" alloys do a good job of setting the car off. It's by no means a perfect car though. The rear legroom is really poor, and the boot openning isn't too clever either - I'd have had an Avant if I could have afforded one. The handling is a little... Read review

...I have never been a big fan of the Audi A4. I regularly drive one and find the interior cramped and looks plain. Until... I had the opportunity to test drive an A4 1.8 convertible. the model I drove was Carribean Blue, with cloth seats. the first striking think you see about it is the large chromed edge around the front windscreen. with the top up this looks a little strange, but when the top comes down it changes the appearance dramatically. Lowering the soft top is a doddle. A button in the middle console allows the roof to purr open (Whilst parked). It all folds neatly away with no fuss. the wind break flips up and locks in place. Closing is just as simple and there are no manual locks to lock the top in pl
