Advantages: reliable, well done, economic, Disadvantages: hasn`t any
...car in our family, my audi was produced in 1990, and when we bought it, it has already made 230.000km , but it was in a very good condition, the previous owner was taking a lot of care about it and I think that`s why it still gives us so much joy. Up till now it has made 350.000 and iy is still working very well, during 6 years of using it we had no problems with the car. The engine works very well, and is really very economic it takes something ......drive 1400 without visiting petrol station. Suspension could be a little bit more soft, but it`s great. Also very importatnt thing is that it doesn`t lose too much value after years. I advice everyone that car, for not so much money you can buy a friend on which you can always rely. ... Read review

...own. I got the Audi 80 2 years ago , after spotting it laid up in a local garage's yard . I enquired about what the problem was with the car and was told it had a blown head gasket and the brakes were seized on , it also had a dent in the passengers side front wing. The reason the brakes were seized was because it had been standing there for the past 7 months. The original owner had decided to scrap it due to the cost of repairs set against the ......want it you'd better take it away cos it's being scrapped in a couple of days ! . Head gasket replaced, rear brakes sorted, and front wing replaced ( £35) off it went to the Mot test....... straight through .... no problems ! . Bearing in mind the time it had been stood around there was no rust to worry about, all the body panels are galvenised (zinc coated) so no probs' in that department. A good coat of thick polish and the car looked like new. ... Read review

This was the first car I ever drove and for a 17 year old it ruled. The car was comfortable and spacious. Not the fastest of things, until you got into 4th it was quite slow on the up take but once you cruised it was fine. There was a shockingly small amount of horse power but I guess that’s what you expect with a saloon with a 1.6. For an old car and the money that it cost you couldn’t really go wrong. So, aside from the poor pick up the car was ......it never had major faults, just a lot less than can be expected from a 10 year old car (at the time). There was very little boot space which was annoying but the majority of the time it wasn’t a problem (even enough to fit 2 people in). As for inside the car, it was neat and simple, everything above standard for its age. There was space enough to fit a good 5 well sized people but the space at the back of the driver was limited, the way I had it, ... Read review

I recently aquired a 1995 Audi 80 2.6 E 80 model, the car was purchased relatively cheaply and is a very nice car to drive. The engine is very lively, but can be thristy when pushed. The interior of the car is fairly basic although is comfortable. The car lacks rear eletric windows and the interior finish although well built is a bit bland. The only problems that i have encoutered with the car was general routine maintenance, such as replacing ... Read review

...of my experience with an Audi 80 I would have to agree. Of all the company cars I have had this has been the best. The question is ; is this reputation justified? On the basis of my experience with an 1992 Audi 80 I would have to agree. Of all the company cars I have had this has been the best. As I drive about 40 to 50,000 miles per year I am in a position to judge a car pretty quickly. When you spend this long in a car you soon get to know whether ......miles in it. The Audi 80 is a lovely car to drive with a responsive 1.8 litre engine and a gearbox that is a joy to use. The ride is on the firm side of comfortable and consequently gives superb handling on more winding stretches of road. The car always felt safe with ABS brakes which were always effective without snatching. The driving position was extremely good both ergonomically sound and with clear instruments in front. Rear seat passengers ... Read review
