...I have owned one of these cars for over a year now and every day it has been a pleasure to own. It may not be the most attractive car; but at the same time it is not unattractive to look at. It may also not have the greatest handling or ride qualities but these are not what the car is about. The whole purpose of being for this car is to transport large amounts of people and things, comfortably, safely, and reliably and it is in these areas where this car excels. It is quite apparent from the outside that this is a big car, however, it is when you get in side that you really start to appreciate just how roomy it is. Advantages: excellent build quality, German Precision engineering, great looks, Brilliant

...Now please don't quote me on this, but I just nipped over to the Audi web site -- http://www.audi.co.uk/newcars/range.jsp?section=/models/a6saloon/a6saloon -- to do a quick bit of research for this review and it looks pretty definite to me that they are no longer doing a 1.9 TDI version of the Audi A6 saloon. They are doing a 2.4 SE manual, a 2.4 SE multitronic, a 3.2 FSI SE manual, a 3.2 FSI quattro SE manual, a 3.2 FSI quattro SE tiptonic, a 4.2 quattro SE tiptronic, a 2.0 TDI SE manual and a 3.0 TDI quattro SE tiptronic, but look, there ain't a 1.9 SE TDI anymore. ...Three months ago i bought a two year old example Audi A6 1.8T SE.I must admit i hadn't considered this initially as i thought it a little too large for my needs.As i've now got it i can confirm, yes it is too large for me to justify as i have no family but what the hell i would never have suited a fiesta anyway. ...I am now on my second A6 Avant 1.8T so I guess you could say that speaks for itself, but company car policy dictates I drive an Audi. I bought the first one in Germany and imported it and was treated like traitor by Audi (UK). Unfortunately, I had plenty of dealings with them as the car filled up with water inside every time it rained. This in turn found its way into the electrics and all sorts of problems ensued. It took nearly two years to get fixed and in the end I had to drive it back to where I bought it....in Germany. Thanks again Audi UK.
