The GAMEware component cable spices up the Wii's HD graphics.

Advantages: Improves the graphical quality of games, Cheaper than the official cable.

Whether your monitor is CRT or LCD, as long as the resolution exceeds 720 vertical lines, it will support HD video. Most people will have a 1024x768 resolution as a bare minimum, so compatibility shouldn't be an issue. Do make sure that there exists an input on the monitor though.. older screens only have an output cable, in which case an adapter is needed (a couple of quid).
