Disadvantages: Under performer...not overly comfortable to wear.

...Plantronics is one of the biggest names in headsets and has a wide range of products. The .Audio 45 is lightweight with a very flexible headband, although it is a little on the flimsy side and not overly attractive. The speaker drivers are constructed from hard plastic and are covered by thin pads. As a result, they aren't very comfortable to wear. Seperate cables come down from both sides, increasing the chances of getting yourself in a tangle. This headset can be connected either by USB or standard analog connections. However, the microphone plug lacks colour coding, so you're forced to peer at the symbols on the connectors to find out which is which. this isn't too much of an issue, but it makes things more difficult when you're scrabbling about the back of your comnputer. Plantronics .Audio 45 Skype Bundle Headset

Advantages: lets you talk for free
Disadvantages: not the most comfortable / adjustable headphones

...- kind of like walkman headphones from 1988 - with an adjustable band depending on how bif your head is (!) - although the foam coverings on the earphones themselves could wear a little thin, but not to worry, I'll just replace them with foam covers "borrowed" from airline headphones next time I fly... Set up is very easy, it really is just plug and play - although this will clearly vary on whick VoIP system you use - I've used it with Skype (just go to Skype preferences and set the audio input and output to 'Plantronics Headset') as well as MSN's & Yahoo's systems with no problems. As far as I can tell, or in terms of comments I have had from people I've been Skype-ing with, voice quality at the other end is very good and the sound quality at this end is great too. Youcan also use the headset to listen to CD's, MP3's etc - just fold...

Clear crisp sound like no other!

Advantages: Amazing sound quality, nice looking, great control

I purchased it from play.com for a very good £34.99, I had looked around in other shops & also online & this was the cheapest I found it. On some sites they were selling it for a ridiculous £65.99! ...This headset is a bit expensive for its quality. Although i bought mine outside the country for a considerable lesser price, had i known better, i would have bought a wireless one. It is still functional after two years. I lost both of the voice tube microphone cover though and i think that is whats causing too much echo when i talk and too much mic sensitivity. That also causes alot of feed back so i have to press on mute all the time, and everytime i am done speaking, to avoid the feedbacks. On the upside it supports all Plantronics amplifiers and USB-to-headset adapters so i guess i just have to get one. It is also comfortable to wear for long hours. I would not recommend to get leatherette ear cushions, that made my ears sweat and itchy eeks....

Disadvantages: Can be a bit un-comfy after consistant use.

...I purchased one of these headsets last November from the local Netto store for £20; they were branded with MSN logo which I didn't mind. The reason I purchased these were because they looked quite nice, they looked good quality and well the main reason was the price. The headset has a head band attached to it at the top to make it sit more comfortably on your head which is a nice idea, the microphone is a nice size to and adjustable to a certain extent, when you want to use it, you just slide it down and after use slide it back up. The earpieces are well padded and feel comfortable, also there microphone mute switch and volume control attached to the wire which is handy! Overall I can 99.9% guarantee that for £20 you wont be wasting your money with this headset, its comfy, quite nice looking, great clear sound, good bass and also...
