Cambridge Audio DVD player with HDMI

...This stylish and reasonably priced DVD player from Cambridge Audio retails for approx £150. For a DVD player with HDMI (Digital) out, that is one of the more reasonable priced models on the market at the moment. The player will take a moment to recognise disks, but once it has found which format the disk is, I have found playback to be flawless. It can play normal DVDs (PAL), also DVDs from the USA (NTSC) and DIVX encoded video. Although I have not tried it, it can apparently play disks with mp3 music on them. If you need to set the unit up beyond just plugging in cables, then the basic on screen configuration is straightforward. You will need to refer to the manual for the advanced configuration of the unit (if you have a complicated or non-standard HiFi setup). Car FM transmitter for Apple audio players that fails to perform

...There are a few ways to connect your iPod or iPhone to your car stereo but the FM transmitter is arguably the easiest. In the case of the GEAR4 CarDock FM Transmitter, it's powered by the 12V cigarette lighter socket in your car so you need to plug it in, connect your Apple audio player, tune your stereo to the frequency displayed on the transmitter and away you go. It also charges your Apple player with no issues and is compatible with practically every Apple audio device including iPhone (2G, 3G, 3GS) iPod (classic, Nano, Video and touch) thanks to included adapters. MP3 player for audio on the move

It fits in the palm of the hand measuring 3 ½ inches x 1 inch x ¾ of an inch, and comes with a quick start guide, the guarantee booklet and a CD ROM with the instruction manual and software for older versions of Windows. I listen to lots of audio programs from Nightingale Connant Corporation, courses on Marketing, business and self help etc., and I like to take them out with me so that I'm not tied to the arm chair. Amazing Cambridge Audio 640 c CD player

Advantages: price - looks - build quality
Disadvantages: Not anything major

...What can i say about the Cambridge Audio Azur CD player. WELL...... its CLASS! The design is amazing with the blue LCD power light and the very clear LCD screen to show what track you are on. The remote control is very well built and heavy, not in a bad way but in a way that shows the quality. Another advantage about the remote is that it works with all AZUR products. I currently have the CD player and the AMP and they work perfectly together and all by using the one remote control. There is only one little thing that i could possible comment on that they could have improved on. If your lazy like me and have the CD tray open and do not want to press the close button then the off button it will not automatically shut the tray for you. It turns off and leaves it open. This i would say is just a taster to this album because if you listen to it you would know that the tracks just keep getting better. The vocals in this track are brilliant and it has a simple but effective bass line which i like jamming along to. So Quiet You Were **** I'm only giving this a four because nearly every other track is a five atleast. It is a brilliant track which has amazing memorizable lyrics to it and it is worth taking the time to listen to. Brake! For those without a DVD recorder of a VCR this service offers an excellent opportunity to catch up. This service was a new experience for me and having read several reviews as to the poor quality of the programmes screened I wasn?t expecting an awful lot. However I made my way to ITV.co.uk and followed the link for ITV Player. The website is extremely accessible and very user friendly. The ITV Player link takes you to a sub site specifically adapted to allow the user to find the programme/show they wish to watch and then to watch it. I was seeking Wuthering Heights, Part 2 having seen Part 1 last Sunday evening. The show wasn?t available online...

Owners view on the Cambridge Audio A1 Intergrated amplifier

Advantages: great clarity, can recognise delicate sounds, for the price its unbeatable!
Disadvantages: it wont break any windows in terms of volume! it lacks any digital input!

...For a budget amplifier you get oodles of clarity! its punchy, and delivers the most delicate of high frequencies too.... i have paired it up with an old pair of Kef Cresta 3's and have used several diffent speakers and different cables.... the first lot of cable i tried was specially handmade gold in, silver out @ £600 per meter! and the current cable is cheapy £2 bell type wire, and to be honest, it made very little difference in the quality... maybe a tad clearer, but nothing vastly notable).. so as another plus, it will make a very low budget system sound very good! so positives are amazing sound quality, from bassy club music to delicate classical, it delivers all with a convincing realism, and thats using a standard cd player on my pc! its bass is very punchy if need be and is quite apparent even at low volumes!!! clarity is...

M-Audio Fast Track Pro - Great for working with audio on a budget

Advantages: cheap, reliable, portable, easy to use and intuitive
Disadvantages: limited ins and outs, not a lot of leeway for input levels

I originally bought mine as my very first audio/usb interface to use with my Macbook and Logic Pro when I first started university, 2 years ago. I am now in my final year, and have progressed up to using Pro Tools (M-powered, as this is the only version supported by the Fast Track Pro.) I have to date used the fast track pro to create semi-professional projects. The sound quality is, I have to say, very good for a £120 interface, although I have had problems attempting to get a decent input signal strength, especially when using the built in phantom power. Disadvantages: Well, there are some songs that none of us like...

...The year was 2001. Where I had no taste in modern music at all. (And I still don't to be honest). A 'French' house song reached number 2 in the UK Charts. The song was Starlight, and in all my life I had never heard a song as good as that could bring me in a happy mood. Considering that I think that Starlight is quite underrated, it didn't get enough fame - it only reached number 2. That made The Supermen Lovers a One Hit Wonder. But Starlight stayed in the top 10 European charts for an outstanding three weeks. But that still didn't give it enough attention. I think that people should reconsider that Starlight is a great pop song, it got me into more of The Supermen Lovers songs that I admire myself. Which is why The Player is the best album The Supermen Lovers has made, and the first as well. People who like Starlight might consider...

...it. I hate to hear music from a CD played in some sort of psuedo surround mode. Even concert DVD's just don't seem right to me in surround. (And I've heard £50,000+ systems too!!) When did you ever go to a concert where some of the musicians were behind you? Or even to the side, for that matter. Music should be listened to coming from (preferably) just 2 speakers in front of you, IMHO. Don't even let me get started on the subject of subwoofers... End Tangent! The Cambridge Audio Azure 540D is a very capable player. It has all the connectivity you are likely to need other than HDMI (I'm on a bit of a downer on HDMI at the moment, so I don't see that as an ommission) but including a very good downmixed stereo sound out (Jargon decode - it makes surround sound encoded music DVD's sound nice ;-) ). In summary, I would buy one...
