...This is one hell of a reliable piece of kit. I\'ve owned this for 5 years now and it has never faltered! The sound quality and performance are excellent. providing up to 96khz and 24bit recording rates, for a real professional sound. The driver support M-Audio give is top notch, releasing updates all the time to ever more improve the performance of the product. (not that you every really notice that you need it!). What is also a big bonus is that M-Audio have taken over Digidesign who make Pro Tools. This means the latest versions of Pro Tools are no compatible with M-Audio Hardware! ...It is a great machine for audio and video works.If you have dv cam like canon elura or sony pc 100 e you can connect from firewire port and edit your videos from finalcut pro software or apple imovie software .If you want a pro sound control on the road you just buy a PCMCIA card from digigram vx and high quality 24 bit 96 khz you have audio edit and recording capacitie whit this machine.There is company called VST make products for powerbooks CD writer .You can record all your datas to CD backup. There is more software on the market for audio editing and midi editing ( LOGIC AUDIO PLATINIUM , BEAS PEAK )and work well on this machine.You can connect your powerbook from 2 usb port to any usb midi hardware... ...Gear is an ideal tool for backing up your digital photos or those important files from your hard drive onto CD.The software is very easy to use and does a perfect job every time. I have tried a number of sofwares for backing up but always come back to good old gear it does not fail. It is excellent also for doing audio compelations from your audio CD's. I believe it is also good for backing up your Playstation and PC games so that you do not scratch that game that you have paid a fortune for.... Read review

...I bought this soundcard well over 3 years ago, and it has been a good workhorse ever since. It was around the time that 96khz recording was just making a breakthrough and so was a fairly expensive buy at the time, but just that little bit cheaper than the 66 (with SPDIF) to make it a worthy buy. M-Audio has a pedigree that any pro-audio manufacturer should be proud of, and the Delta 44 is no exception, it has low operating latency at around 10ms, and 4 ins and outs on large 3.5" jacks (perfect for a recording studio). they are also balanced which means you can use in conjuction with balanced cables in your studio (perfect for keeping the excess noise down). ...Can you believe it. We are on to Windows 2000 and yet can you do something as simple as printing the contents of a folder/selection of folders? Nah! Sure, if they are audio files I belive that WinAmp can make a list (I don't have WinAmp so I don't know this for sure). With PrintFolder Pro you can print/save a list of files located in any folder; customise file lists; sort folders; edit before printing; previews; print parent folder &/or subfolders.
