Yet ANOTHER "Santa" gift received by one of our girls at yet another Christmas party (seriously, their social life is WAY busier than mine)
It's a very sturdy cardboard box containing 26 pairs of cards. Hardly surprising, really, as it is an alphabet game.
The pieces are approximately 6½ cm (2½") square and made of good quality, thick cardboard. They are double sided. One side has the lower case letter, black print on a white background and the matching piece has a pictorial representation for that letter.
The reverse of both pieces is an orange shade with white writing; the lower case letter on one piece and the corresponding upper case letter on the other piece.
The puzzle comes with an accompanying leaflet with guidance of how to extend the educational value of the puzzle and four...

Easy as ABC
Advantages: A fun way to learn your ABCs
Disadvantages: none that we have found
...My son was bought this as a Christmas present from his big sisters last year and they informed me that it only cost them £6 from TK Maxx which is a bit of a bargain when you see that it's listed as selling for around £15. The main reason they bought it was the my son loves Dr Seuss books and having seen how good the Cat and The Hat CD Rom was that we had for him previously they decided this should help keep him amused as well as help him learn his ABC's as he was already taking an interest in lettering on certain products and in the magnetic letters on his gran's fridge door. He also loves pressing keys on my PC and hearing stories and playing games on the CBeebies website and as this had helped him with counting - thanks to a very annoying Teletubbies game - they thought this would be ideal.
Dr Seuss is well known to most parents...

abc1 tv channel
Advantages: always a good comedy show
Disadvantages: finishes at 6pm
...abc1 tv channel - channel 15 on digibox
I have had a digi box now for a good year maybe even a bit longer than that. There are still people in my area that cant have these boxes due to the fact of bad signal but i have never had any problems with mince since i bought it.
one of the best channels i found has got the be this abc1. It can be found on channel 15 on my digibox which i persume is the same for everyone elses box.
The channel is on from 6am to 6pm. This is the only draw back becuase the abc1 channel on sky i think stays on till late into the night but on the digi box the channel cuts off at six o clock.
I like this channel mainly becuase there are lots of american comedy shows shown on it. Early in the morning especially weekends there are a few childrens TV shows which i maybe persuaded to watch especially if...

ABC.... Easy as 123!
Advantages: Introduces lots of different animals. Clear illustrations!
Disadvantages: Insufficient lift-the-flaps opportunities!!

This is a lift-the-flap book by the author of the best-selling classic Dear Zoo.
It is a simple alphabet book:
a is for animals
b is for bear
c is for camel ?????
f is for fish
g is for gorilla ?????
p is for panda
q is for quail ?????.
w is for walrus
y is for yak ?????..
The book is 18 pages long with a variety of numbers of animals and letters of the alphabet, ranging from one animal per double spread to 4 animals and letters being shown on a double page spread.
The book ends with a double page with a label of ZOO, underneath the title is a double gate, open the gate and you find:
' Boo! We know our abc - do you?'
Given that there are 18 pages, there are only 5 'flaps' to lift?. Slightly disappointing.

ABC ALLERTON, LIVERPOOL
Advantages: Theres 1 screen so not to busy and confusing
Disadvantages: Very expensive like all cinemas.
...This cinema used to be under the ABC name and before that it was Cannon. Wether Cannon was a chain, I dont know.
ABC was taken over in 2000 by Odeon, therefore this is now an Odeon cinema.

---HOW MANY SCREENS?---
This cinema only has one screen, but as many may see this as a disadvantage, I see it as an advantage. This is because it is not so busy, and there is no confusion over which film is on which screen.
---HOW MUCH?---
Its a while since Ive been to this cinema, but i remember it being around £4.50/£5.00 for an adult ticket. This is quite expensive in my opinion, but all cinemas seem to be around this price.
Things such as popcorn and Pepsi are very dear.
---WHERE IS IT LOCATED?---
The Odeon is located in the busy shopping area...

Album - Look of love: The Very Best of ABC.
Album is a single CD, containing 17 songs, as the title suggests 'The Best of ABC'.
Front cover shows Martin Fry reclining in his famous GOLD Suit. Back cover shows the 17 track titles and an empty theatre with just fry's jacket hanging over a chair, suggesting he's on the stage?
Inside is a shockingly red CD and small front cover booklet. This contains some information on martin and some of his songs.
Centrefold is martin reclining in his shockingly loud gold suit.
As with 'Tears for fears', ABC where of the early eighties and had a very distinctive and recognisable sound.

Easy as ABC (d'oh - bad joke)
Advantages: Great songs and lyrics
Disadvantages: Few more tracks would have been better
...The eighties was a great decade - but if you really think about it, was there any music that really stood out? Well, yes - ABC. New romantics through and through, ABC were the creators of such classics as 'The Look Of Love' and 'Poison Arrow'. Lexicon Of Love isn't a 'best of' album, but it might as well be, because it include all their best tracks bar one - 'When Smokey Sings', which is a great shame. The lyrics in all 11 songs (well 10, as one is an instrumental piece) are excellent, and make you think - "If I were to ask you "Can you keep a secret?", would you know what to do, or where to keep it?"
There isn't really a bad track on the entire album, although 'Valentine's Day' goes against the trend, but isn't too bad either. The use of instruments is impressive too, so you find yourself appreciating the melodies as well as...
