...the August Macke Haus is a must for those interested in twentieth century art; the collection is nicely displayed and provides a decent overview of Macke?s work. Bonn, though, is a city that is packed with museums and unless you have a special interest in the art of this period I wouldn?t recommend a special visit as there are museums which are better appreciated for those who don?t speak German. However, the collection is small enough not to be overwhelming and the colourful paintings have wide appeal. The fairytale of August Rush DVD

Advantages: sweet fantasy and fairytale
Disadvantages: one dimensional characters

...contrary to what a lot of people think i thought this film was fantastic! plot summary - orpaned boy escapes his orphanage and goes to New York to find his parents. on his search he encounters people who want to profit from his talent and others that want to nurture it. this is the heart warming tale of one boys love of music and how he uses it to find his parents. Acting - all the cast played believable roles especially Robin Williams who plays somebody who isnt funny for a change. The product - The case contains only one disc, the only extra that can be found on the dvd is a ten minute reel of deleted scenes mainly featuring August Rush and Wizard (Robin Williams). subtitles are available in English, French and Spanish. Canon EF-S 10-22mm f3.5-f4.5 USM

Advantages: Range. Optical Quality. Size. Weight. Price.
Disadvantages: Lens hood not supplied with lens.

...Having owned and used my Canon EF-S 10-22mm f/3.5-f/4.5 USM zoom lens for around 15 to 18 months I feel that it is in many ways, quite an exceptional lens. Effectively covering the versatile full-frame equivalent 16-35mm zoom lens, it is a valuable addition to anyone's kit. Being an EF-S lens (the 'S' standing for 'Short' back-focus), it is designed for use ONLY with cameras having APS-C size sensors. Don't attempt to fit one to a full-frame DSLR or 35mm SLR camera. Such lenses have reduced image circles and produce vignetting on full-frame or 35mm cameras. Furthermore, the rear lens element could get hit by the reflex mirror, causing serious damage. With a maximum aperture of f/3.5 at the widest end and f/4.5 at the more moderate end of the zoom range, the lens is not 'fast' by any stretch of the imagination. However...

Advantages: Get to Watch one of the Best films of 2007/2008
Disadvantages: Gets emotional in place :( makes you cry

...whatever street money they can get. When Evan gets hold of a guitar, he displays an impossible talent for it (no really, I mean impossible) and Wizard brands his new money maker 'August Rush'. Meanwhile, both Lyla and Louis still remember that fateful night together and both end up in New York at the same time. With an escapade at Julliard (don't ask), Evan puts on a concert in Central Park but first has to escape the Wizard. Will this concert be the key to reconnecting with his parents? If the sentimentality was downplayed just a bit, this could have stood a chance at being an effective film for both children and adults - as it stands, the most effective bits for me was the clever sound editing of everyday noises into a sort of musical rhythm. Renault Vel Satis 3.5 V6 Initiale

Advantages: More technology and space than a similar LWB S-Class Mercedes @ half the price
Disadvantages: People either love them or hate them

...I can honestly say that I really like this car. It's different from the rest in its range, if you can find anything comparable, but it's a bit like Marmite, in as much as you either love the look of the car or you hate it! As for the practicalities: the 3.5 engine (shared with the Nissan 350Z) is a beauty and is far more silky smooth and economical than advertised...if driven correctly. That is to say, if you want to drive it like the Nissan 350Z then it will perform like one (very quick off the mark for its size) and use fuel like one...but if you drive it sensibly, it will reward. I am getting around 26/29mpg in the winding country lanes where I live and about 32mpg on the motorway. The interior is Tardis-like, the seats are large and comfy with a multitude of electronic settings...and the split backrest gives you options you...

Disadvantages: If you are a musician you need to let a few things slide.

I paid £16 for them on eBay, which is a real bargain? not sure if they were as new as described but they work and are a real treat. Type: Full-Range Speakers, designed to achieve a deep enough bass extension to serve as a full range speaker without need for a subwoofer. It actually feels like there's a subwoofer underneath the car when I crank the bass up on my CD-Player. I'm not one to disturb other drivers; these speakers can achieve acceptable levels of driving volume for you to really get into your music without the sound waves departing the car and have pedestrians mutter "damn those chavs*!"
