Review of Aurora, Tivoli

Auroraing success

Advantages: Comfy for baby. Wide easy to clean tray.
Disadvantages: Assembly instructions poor. Difficult to adjust height.

.... I needed it to be very easily cleaned, and really wanted one with a double tray so that I could leave the baby to play for a few minutes whilst beginning the clean up. Of course there was also the 'oh so important' safety aspect to consider. The Aurora Plus has all these features; The chair has several recline positions. The cover is removable for serious cleans, and is easy to wipe clean on a day to day basis. It is nicely padded so my baby looks really at ease in it. It comes with a 5 point safety harness which, although perfectly functional, does not seem overly comfortable. They don't have any extra padded bits to slip over the straps like so many harnesses seem to come with these days. It can be slung in the washing machine, but is a little tricky to remove and you have to take some care refitting it correctly...

Review of Cosatto Aurora Plus High Chair

Sol Aurora, Umag, Croatia. Like Spain, Only better.

Advantages: Beautiful country, great hotel, nice food, cheaper than Spain

...My wife and I spent a couple of weeks at the Sol Aurora, Umag, in June 2007. We have been to several places around Europe, e.g. The Baleriks, Spain, Italy, but fancied something a little different. Not being a fan of flying, I usually look for places within a 3 hr flight from Leeds/Bradford, Croatia is only 2hr 20mins away, so seemed ideal. Umag itself is a very nice smallish town, with a small port, located to the north of Croatia, on the coast of the Adriatic, only a few miles from the boarder with Serbia. The locals are very friendly, the weather is similar to northern Spain, and with Croatia not being in the Euro, prices are very reasonable. The Sol Aurora Hotel is a 4 star, situated just north of the town of Umag, almost directly on the beach, wel, I say beach, it is actually a concrete sun terrace, but there are plenty...

Searching the web for a good deal I found one at Kiddicare and it was on special offer - reduced to £60 - and before you could say wham bam thank you man - it was bought. ...(This is a copy of an op I am posting at Dooyoo. I hope some of you will find it relevant too.) Aurora came. It saw. It sent its members scuttling over to Ciao. Aurora promised much and delivered little. No guestbooks, no Quill awards, no one-click rating/comments system. It even took away a few of the good bits like being notified if your opinion was rated or you received a new comment. Aurora is, conclusively, not great. We have been shown that the upper echelons of Dooyoo don’t care about the members. Katie Bingham is wonderful, it goes without saying, but everyone above her seems to be faceless and completely single-minded about changing the whole focus of the site. What they seem to want is churners who will write tens of opinions for the website, then sod off without cashing in, as it’s all too much...

All About Aurora or Does Dooyoo Smell Of Wee

Dooyoo's had a redesign, the one it's spent £8m on over the last two years, and the one for which its community has been asked to wait for desired improvements over those last two years. It's called Aurora. At the moment it's pants because it doesn't work and when they've ironed all the bugs out it will still be pants because its database is flawed (so useless for the non-member consumer) and because it contains nothing at all for its users. (I shall rewrite my recent opinion comparing Ciao and Dooyoo when the fuss has died down and Dooyoo is actually functional. Don't hold your breath).
