Auroraing success

Advantages: Comfy for baby. Wide easy to clean tray.
Disadvantages: Assembly instructions poor. Difficult to adjust height.

.... I needed it to be very easily cleaned, and really wanted one with a double tray so that I could leave the baby to play for a few minutes whilst beginning the clean up. Of course there was also the 'oh so important' safety aspect to consider. The Aurora Plus has all these features; The chair has several recline positions. The cover is removable for serious cleans, and is easy to wipe clean on a day to day basis. It is nicely padded so my baby looks really at ease in it. It comes with a 5 point safety harness which, although perfectly functional, does not seem overly comfortable. They don't have any extra padded bits to slip over the straps like so many harnesses seem to come with these days. It can be slung in the washing machine, but is a little tricky to remove and you have to take some care refitting it correctly...

Cool Calculations in Chemistry!

Advantages: Very useful, lots of practice questions
Disadvantages: Only in black and white, expensive

I have looked all over the book and I can't find which specification it is for so I assume the calculations in A-Level chemistry are pretty universal over all the major exams boards. (I am with AQA and the majority of the book is relevant for me.) The book is split into 11 chapters - from chapters containing basic formulae to chapters with more difficult aspects of chemistry. Each chapter has information about calculations including worked examples complete with model answers. This gives information about when you would use these calculations in chemistry as well as showing you how they are done before giving some problems for you to try. There are answers and some worked solutions at the back of the book, which help you check your progress...

Review of Calculations in AS/A Level Chemistry - Jim Clark

Sol Aurora, Umag, Croatia. Like Spain, Only better.

Advantages: Beautiful country, great hotel, nice food, cheaper than Spain

...My wife and I spent a couple of weeks at the Sol Aurora, Umag, in June 2007. We have been to several places around Europe, e.g. The Baleriks, Spain, Italy, but fancied something a little different. Not being a fan of flying, I usually look for places within a 3 hr flight from Leeds/Bradford, Croatia is only 2hr 20mins away, so seemed ideal. Umag itself is a very nice smallish town, with a small port, located to the north of Croatia, on the coast of the Adriatic, only a few miles from the boarder with Serbia. The locals are very friendly, the weather is similar to northern Spain, and with Croatia not being in the Euro, prices are very reasonable. calculating success!

Advantages: Thoroughly useful if you are studying maths!

Advantages: Easy to use, reliable, batteries last AGES!

...I first got this calculator when I was 13 or 14 years old. Our maths teacher told us we needed a scientific calculator and although I already had one, it was different to the one the teacher had. ...I bought this calculator at my local woolworths as i was after a scientific calculator and one that was cheap(i paid under £10 for this one which seemed a good price). The calculator is made by Casio which are a well known brand for making anything from calculators to TV's . The dimensions are 84x155x12mm and it is a light too which is a bonus. The keys are large enough for most people and all the writing is clear on and above the keys. This scientific calculator with has 249 functions (164 scientific functions) - including statistic functions. Casio Calculator

Advantages: Functions, colour, 2 way power
Disadvantages: too complex to use

...I bought this calculator for my A level examinations. It is terribly handy, I do a lot of maths and be it calculus, vectors, complex numbers or statistics, this calculator will help you a lot. Not only does it boast 403 functions, and most of the keys look like that should be on a UFOs spaceship, if you read the handbook and know how to access and use the functions it is great. These functions are not ones that allow you to cheat ( sadly :P) but they do provide a good basis to check your answers, which can be very valuable when you have no clue whether you good be right or not. Also it comes with a solar panel, providing two way power, meaning you dont have to be scared about whether it would stop in the middle of an exam....
