Aussie Mega Shampoo
Advantages: It cleaned off all the gunk I put in my hair! Doesn't weigh it down.
Disadvantages: Expensive when not on offer.
...I bought this from my local supermarket when it was on a 2 for £5 offer. I wouldn't buy it normally as it is about £3 a bottle which is quite a bit. I bought the conditioner too, but I'll save that for another review.
The product comes in Aussie's usual packaging- as you can see from the picture it's a creamy coloured bottle with red writing on the front. This writing tells you that it is infact a myth that you have to change your shampoo frequently and you only have to do this if the shampoo builds up. This claims not to build up.
The smell is delicious, aparantly it contains kangaroo paw flower.
It lathers up really well and you don't need much.
At this point I should probably explain my hair so you know what it worked on. I have long highlighted hair so usually stick to products for coloured hair but I put sea salt spray...

Aussie Mega Shampoo
Advantages: Smells Incredible
Disadvantages: You can't wash your hair all the time
...I really love this shampoo. It's main feature is obviously that it smells so delicious you could eat it, but it's also pretty good at washing hair. It's one of those, very rare, things that make you feel good about having to get up early on a rainy day. It even makes you feel better when you've got a hideous hangover-but only by getting rid of the pub smell from your hair.
The Aussie range isn't that wide and it isn't always obvious which one to choose, so when in doubt choose this one. The packaging is bland, and there isn't much advertising that I've seen, but that just makes it better, because you know something that not everyone does.
For a shampoo to use everyday, especially if you've got long hair, it's pretty expensive. I tend to buy it on special offer when it's within my price range. But as a special treat it's brilliant...

Another Aussie Miracle!
Advantages: Everything!
Disadvantages: Nothing so far..
...Possibly my favourite shampoo of all time!
I only bought this a week ago and it's already a love affair. I am a big fan of the Aussie products as they are always fabulous and do what they say they will. This shampoo claims it will not build up on the hair and will give the same clean each time you use it with no reduction in cleaning efficiency.
I opened this product and the first thing that hit me was the smell. It claims to be the scent of the "Kangaroo paw flower" which to me smells a bit like a delicious mix of flowers and berries. It's absolutely gorgeous and very difficult to describe. I lathered up my hair and it was really foamy and nice, and made the bathroom smell of its berry-y lushness! I rinsed it and it took a little while to get all the foam out of my hair, probably just because I was in a bath full of foam! I rinsed...

Me and my Aussie Mate
Advantages: Leaves hair manageable, soft and well cared for
Disadvantages: A bit pricey
...You can probably tell by now I am working my way through the special offers at my local supermarket! A friend recommended this shampoo to me, so when I saw it was on offer, I thought I would give it a go.
It cost me £2.99 for 300ml – but the usual price is £3.99. The conditioner (op to follow) retails at £4.99. So, these hair products fall into the reasonably expensive bracket – but come nowhere near the cost of some salon products!
The blurb on the bottle states that this shampoo “protects colour-treaters and permies. Our pH balanced formula with Australian wild peach will cleanse gently without stripping colour or relaxing curl”.
So, what does all that mean to me?
I have thick, shoulder length, dark brown hair, with red highlights. My hair is naturally shiny, but some shampoos & highlights...

Miracle Shampoo - and divine smell =)
Advantages: Smells gorgeous, Makes hair moisturised - V. good quality
Disadvantages: Quite expensive....
...The Aussie Philosophy stands as "There's more to life than hair but it's a good place to start"
Aussie describes Miracle Moist Shampoo as being suitable for 'hair that's dry/damaged/a bit unhappy. I decided that my hair already fell into the 'unhappy' category, and almost certainly into the other two if I didn't start to look after it properly.
So, when I discovered that my Christmas present this year was a pair of GHD straighteners (huzzah!) I decided to invest in this shampoo for another Christmas present! =) Anyway so upon recieving two shampoo/conditioner shaped parcels, (to which I eagerly ripped open =D) I found Aussie's Miracle Moist Shampoo and the infamous 3 Minute Miracle Conditioner (another review coming later!)
~Appearance + Packaging~
The bottle itself is creamy/off white in colour with no illustrations bar...

Bubblegum hair anyone?
Advantages: erm erm erm nope can't think of one!
Disadvantages: See op
...With a blurb on the bottle that informed me to stop whinging over the state of my dry hair and promised that it's unique formula of Australian Queensland Macadamia nut would infuse moisture into my over processed hair I was sold! The fact that it came on a special offer of two bottles in the Aussie range for a fiver made it even more appealing!
Now with a name like Aussie Hair care you'd assume that this was shipped over by Quantas in bulk. Aussie Hair care is in fact manufactured by Clairol a subsidy of Procter and Gamble here in the UK. with a range of different products from shampoo's, conditioners, and hair gels the company makes the most of the Oz theme with most containing some wonder Oz ingredient! The company seem to play on the fact it has so called natural ingredients in it!
Packaging wise this little baby ain...

SMELL MY HAIR - GO ON!
Advantages: Smells gorgeous, works well, effects last
Disadvantages: Bottle is a bit boring but who cares?
...that claim. It also tells you not to whinge over your dry, damaged hair because it’s unique formula with Australian Queensland Macadamia Nut, infuses moisture into dry, damaged hair and the emollients quench thirsty locks.
Reading further, I discovered that the Queensland macadamia nut is of course native of Australia. It is a small, chestnut brown nut which is rich in oils and blended with Aussie’s unique formula to help condition and smooth hair.
Right then, let’s see what it’s like… The shampoo itself is a pale creamy colour which is very silky in texture and look and has a good consistency. The smell is amazing – just from taking a whiff of it in the bottle there is a sweet nutty fragrance, which actually smells like macadamia nuts with underlying sweetness of bubblegum which is the smell...

A truly mega shampoo
Advantages: Not too expensive and really does the job!
Disadvantages: Bottle could be a bit bigger, smell might be a bit sickly depending on your mood
...I recently tried Aussie 3 minute miracle (the best intensive conditioner on the planet in my opinion, read my op) after reading the reviews on here and while in Boots decided to try this shampoo as well. It was about £3.50 for 300ml which I didn't think was too bad.
The first thing that strikes you is the smell. It is peachy but not too synthetic. The Aussie range (despite being American) smells wonderful because of all of the gorgeous exotic ingredients. The shampoo was quite thick, but not so thick it was impossible to get it to lather. It lathered well and rinsed really easily, leaving that lovely smell in there.
The beige bottle suggests that you won't need to change shampoos with this one as it leaves no residue. Im not sure about that yet, but since using it my hair has been really light which is quite a feat considering...

Batiste Dry Shampoo
Advantages: A fab product which leaves hair looking great
Disadvantages: None at all
...I was having a really bad hair day a couple of weeks ago, though it was my own fault as the night before I hadn't washed my hair out of laziness! I have the type of hair which does need washing on a daily basis or else it looks greasy, dull and lifeless the day after. My hair was that bad due to it not being washed that it made me feel really awful and self conscious. A work colleague recommended that I try Batiste Dry Shampoo for such occassions.
I took her advice and purchased a bottle from Tescos on my next shopping trip. I paid £1.99 for a 150ml cannister, which I thought was quite good value for money.
The cannister itself is a bright yellow colour with a jade green plastic lid. The cannister is re-cycleable and is found amongst the normal shampoos on the shelves. It supposedly had a Tropical scent to it, which was the theme...

Paw Paw Flower Shampoo
Advantages: leaves hair very clean
Disadvantages: overpowering fragrance
...I was a bit worried that this product would give me mega hair as my hair is already very thick. I haven't quite worked out what mega shampoo means yet but it probably just means it's great.
This product left my hair feeling clean and gives a good lather. After awhile though it did make my scalp feel itchy. It has a very overpowering sweet scent which you do get use to. It has a creamy consistency and is pearly peach coloured. The aussie range comes in cream bottles with large purple print. You definetly need to use a conditioner after using this shampoo as it leaves your hair squeeky clean. I went for the aussie 3-minute miracle conditioner (see my review for what I thought about this).
The shampoo cost me £3.50 in Bodycare but can cost over £4 in Boots and Superdrug. It is pricier than other brands probably due to its exotic...
