FREE DVDs
Advantages: Free trial, large choice, post included, new realeases
Disadvantages: see review
...I like movies and I like freebies, so when you get offered both in one swoop you?re bound to accept! I used my two week free trial with this company and remained with them for a couple of monthsbefore moving on to try many other companies free trials (and winning a new DVD player on Tesco DVD rental site on their free trial offer). I then had an email from DVDs 365 asking me to go back, and offering me a free DVD if I did so. I had just left Tesco (with my new DVD player) so I chose to go back with them.
∆◊◊ THE SERVICE THEY OFFER ∆◊◊
Basically it?s like going to a video shop and hiring films on DVD, except you don?t pay for each film you chose ? rather a monthly fee for which you can watch as many movies as you can fit in, for us this is usually around 8 a month (2 a week usually weekends...

Ethel Austin - A pleasure to shop!
Advantages: Inexpensive clothing for the whole family, regular sales.
Disadvantages: No changing room, poor manoeuvrability for wheelchairs.
...I have a few favourite bargain places I go when I have some money in my pocket and an incredible itch to spend. One of these places is Ethel Austin. In my local town there is a modest sized shop which has generally quite friendly staff, which for me is a big plus! I used to work in retail and can't see any excuse for not being pleasant to customers, except of course the ignorant abusive ones (not all customers are right you know)
A little bit about Ethel Austin before I go on to the review, I found this information from their website,
Ethel Austin started 73 years ago in a front room doubling as a shop in Liverpool. Ethel was dedicated to providing good customer service and within 5 yrs of opening her front door for business she had opened 3 shops. Her husband George was a tram conductor and as she opened stores along his tram...

Surprising Picture Quality - Panasonic DVD-S54
Advantages: Incredible picture quality when compared to my old non-upscaling player with a scart lead
Disadvantages: Sometimes disc drive can be really noisy when DVD's initially load.
...At first I wasn't convinced by up-scaling DVD player technology but was persuaded after reading an article in "What Hi-Fi? Sound and Vision" magazine. Unable to afford a Blu-Ray player my sister and I bought the Panasonic DVD-S54 to match our parents brand new Panasonic TX-32LZD80 LCD television as their Christmas 2008 present. Admittedly it was a slightly selfish purchase as we both live at home and wanted to watch DVDs on the big new TV ourselves! We bought the player from the electrical retailer Comet for about £100 just before Christmas so there were no discounts applied.
On Christmas day when opened we found a relatively small box tightly packed with the player in polystyrene packaging. All the components such as cables, remote and manuals were well presented in their own protective plastic bags, to keep them protected. The player...

Austin's Lost His Mojo
Advantages: Entertaining and funny in parts.
Disadvantages: Nowhere near as good as the first one.
...of Goldmember is random in a bad way with none of then wit the first film had and feels like an old rejected storyline that got quickly dug up. It once again concerns Austin Powers who finally captures Dr Evil, only for his father (Nigel Powers) to be kidnapped by new villain, Goldmember. Dr Evil agrees to tell Austin where his father is in return for transfer to the prison where Mini- Me is held. Austin agrees and must travel back to 1975 to confront the strange Goldmember and once again thwart whatever evil plan is being hatched.
Predictably the story is more laboured than before and only gets by because the focus is overwhelmingly on characters, to such an extent that the plot is almost treated like a boring but necessary formality. A major let down is that, whereas the last two films spoofed James Bond, Goldmember is more of a spoof...

IS IT THE END FOR AUSTIN
Advantages: Funny parts
Disadvantages: Storyline
...With nothing else to do on Saturday night, I ended up going to see the good old Austin Powers flik, was I impressed? Not really. Did I expect to be impressed? Not really!
There ya go! The film started brilliantly, very funny! We had Tom Cruise as Austin Powers and many other well known actors and actresses representing other roles.
This was the introduction to the third edition of Austin Powers. These people, Tom Cruise etc have been hired to make a film on Austin Powers so in the film I was watching - Goldmember they are making a film on Austin Powers called Pussy*** . Sound confusing?! Well it isn't as bad as it sounds! ALSO this is not the main plot! They simply used this as an intro tothe movie and also an ending.
Well after watching a brilliant start, I started to get my hopes up for the film, maybe it wasn't going to be...

Austin Powers
Advantages: Hilarious, Much funnier than AP 1
Disadvantages: none
...I have to be honest and say I absolutely hated the first film. I found there were lots of places where bad jokes were dragged on and on until you found yourself staring blankly, wondering when the torture would end. Gladly, Austin Powers 2 is much better. The jokes go on for just the right amount of time, and they are actually very funny. There is lots of immature humour, lots of clever gags, and lots of slap-stick - basically there's something for everybody, not to mention that this sequel has a stronger storyline. It's definitely worth a watch, even if you didn't like the first....

Ethel Austin...hmm not sure what to say!
Advantages: Cheap, good childrens clothes
Disadvantages: Untidy, not suitable for wheelchiars n pushchairs, bad sizing
...Well where do i start? This is the shop that my little sister thought was called Jane Austin so I guess the name is probably the best place to begin! When i first noticed that this shop had opende on my local highstreet, i admit i was a bit put off by the name. I mean, to me, Ethel Austin gives out strong connotations of old checked pleated skirts n walking sticks...although of course there is nothing wrong with that!! So when i went inside to be met with an array of colourful vibrant clothing in all styles and sizes, i was pleasantly suprised!!!
This shop sells a variety of womens, mens dn childrens clothes, as well as cheap cosmetics and fragrances. However, the items on sale do change quite regularly, as lately in my local shop there has been no mens clothes whatsoever. However, it is still amzing what bargains you can pick up...

The best wrestler - Steve Austin
Advantages: The toughest wrestler without doubt
Disadvantages: Can be out of control with a lack of regard for authority
...Stone Cold Steve Austin. The mere mention of his name will bring any sold-out crowd to its feet in a crazed frenzy. Never before has the world of sports-entertainment seen a phenomenon like the one that Stone Cold Steve Austin has created. At any live event you attend, all you see is a sea of Austin 3:16. Why? 'Cause Stone Cold said so!
When the Texas Rattlesnake entered the Mecca Arena in Milwaukee, for the 1996 King Of The Ring, he never could have imagined that before the evening was through, he would change the entire face of the wrestling world. After beating the Bible-referencing Jake "The Snake" Roberts to become King Of The Ring, Austin accepted his crown, and upon doing so informed Roberts that "Austin 3:16 says I just whooped your ass!" With that simple phrase, Austin became the most popular superstar to ever compete in this...

Austin rocks baby
Advantages: Very funnyplot, stupid characters
Disadvantages: Perhaps a bit crude, over-the-top in places
...Many people criticise Austin Powers because of its lack of maturity as a film. The film itself is very immature, full of innuendo and very stupid jokes, but this is what makes the film.
From the very start, the jokes are often subtle but very funny. The acting isn't that good, but it doesn't need to be, and the plot is fabulous. I have never seen a film (apart form the sequel to this film) that made me laugh so much upon seeing it.
I would strongly recommend this film to anyone who thinks that they have a sense of humour, because those are the kinds of people that these kinds of films are made for. It is a very funny film and I loved it, so I am sure that you will too!...
