...First off if you are looking for a 28 inch television under £450 then this JVC all rounder is definitely worth investigating. Its picture quality is very impressive and sharp for this price level, showing colours clearly and brightly. The 100hz picture scan (twice as much as the typical 50hz picture scan for this price range) ensures the picture is less blurry than many of this tv's competitors, and text can be clearly read on screen without straining your eyes, unlike on some cheaper televisions. The AV-28X4's sound quality is decent enough, but you can get better for the money. Unusually the speakers are below the screen, rather than each side, meaning the stero sound effect is not as noticeable as on some televisions. ...Ok, your on a budget and you would like a decent TV but you are not bothered about built in Modem, true flat screem, tuner etc what do you go for? I asked myself this question when my old 32" broke down a number of months ago. I decided I didn't need a massive 42" LCD monster and to be truthful all those fancy add ons turned me off, I just wanted a TV a could flop in front of and just relax!! I bought my JVC for a smidge of £350 now you can get them for £300 on the net if you shop around and I think that this is an ideal price for a TV which is not at the top of the bunch but a decent budget all rounder. The TV comes with a free surround sound system which is ok but I think if this is going to be your main box to watch TV on you could probably do with buying a better system to link up to the TV. ...If you are currently running your XBOX 360 through a TV using the supplied RGB Cables then you are missing out on the power of the 360. When I first bought mine in December 2005 I was using the supplied RGB Cables , this was o.k I was happy with the result , But I wanted desperately to try the HD modes . I had visions of spending £600+ On a New Fangled HDTV from the local Argos Until I read that Literally any old PC monitor would run the XBOX 360 in HDTV mode with these cables !!! I spent my hard earned cash on a set & hooked them up to my Relisys LCD TV ( P.C Monitor & TV all in one) Using the VGA Input . I went to the settings for the 360 & changed to it to 1360 x 768 . The Difference was unbelievable !! , trust me you WILL NOT want to plug those old RGB cables in after this . Everything is much clearer , Crisper & better... Read review

...If you dont have an HDTV this cable is a must have buy this cable the difference it makes is absolutly huge. The picture is much sharper and text in games is clearer, the colours more vibrant. This cable makes the console have much more of a Next gen feel and it is singly one of the best accesories you could buy for your 360 is you are playing your 360 on an SDTV. Well I know it would be a lot better to pay just £17.99 than £400-£1000 for an HDTV especially after just paying £279.99/£199.99 for your console respectivly. So this cable is a must have if you do not own an HDTV you will see the difference. Sharper, More vibrant colours! ...I was looking for a camcorder to use primarily for holidays and family moments. I have bought this camcorder for that use only. when you buy the JVC Everio GZMG21EK you get the following items:- The camcorder itself, A battery and charger, a lens cap, Shoulder strap, instructions & guarantees, AV cables, a USB cable, a remote control (with battery) and a disc of software. ( I bought mine over the internet so couldnt haggle in the shop) The camcorder is silver in colour and i cant believe how small it actually is. It fits perfectly into my hand and is not heavy at all. The camcorder uses a 20 gb hardrive as the recording medium rather than the tapes or discs alot of the other types do. ...(depending on copyright!) Setup: The instructions are very clear, even to the novice, on how to set the unit up. Simply plug in your scart (and aerial) lead to the unit and into your TV, and your ready to tune the TV in. Use your TV tuner to find the JVC video setup screen. Then to store TV channels to the unit, you simply select ACMS which automatically searches and stores TV channels. I hadn't set up the unit with Cable or satellite so can't say how easy or difficult it is, but it is compatible and the instructions give you a step by step guide of how to set the unit up with Sky etc. In Use/ Performance: Having used it now for a few months, we've been very happy with the quality of this unit. ...and make DVD's. NOTE: Software not reviewed here, yet... If you just want to view your video on the TV set, the Everio has an AV/S-Video multi-connector output (AV/S-Video output cable included in the box) and an adaptor to plug straight into a SCART socket on your TV.. The battery (BN-VM200U 800mAh Li-ion) is alleged to last about an hour, cunningly the same length of video you can record on the microdrive, although I've not yet filmed for a whole hour so cannot confirm, or deny, this. I've found the Everio very easy to use, taking loads of video clips of my new baby. There are no complex manual features and a single, simple menu system that controls virtually all camera and camcorder functions, accessed via a "menu" button next to the screen. The camcorder has a nice range of digital effects on the camcorder itself, which are very useful if you want to add interesting effects like screen wipes and fades or black and white and sepia without having to edit the tape through your computer. Editing on a computer is very easy to do using the software that came with the camcorder, and allows you to take stills straight of the video as well as being able to order the clips and add text where you want. One of the nice features with this camcorder is that it doubles as a reasonable quality digital still camera which can store photos either directly onto the tape or on an SD or mutli-media memory card. These photos can then be put on your home PC and edited the same way you would any other digital image. JVC also provide software for this in the package as well as a USB cable. Unfortunately... ...a few extra hundred dollars to get a reliable and solid performance DVD player. This is when a sales rep. directed me towards the JVC XV-523GD and its several other models. I also had my eye on the Aiwa models knowing from word of mouth about their ability to play MP3 and many other compressed CD's. They were out of those, so I decided to give the JVC model a try. It did look like I would not be disappointed when I purchased this DVD player, and so far I have not been.
