...I've been using AvantGo for a few weeks now, and boy I'm sold! This is almost worth owning a Palm/Handspring device for on its own! What AvantGo does is let you subscribe to certain specially-formatted 'channels'. Channels could be the equivalents of existing web sites re-done for PDA viewing, or specifically made for the PDA. Up-to-date content is collected and saved onto your PDA when you synch as frequently or infrequently as you request (customisable for each channel). At the same time, it automatically discards old pages, so using the least space possible. You can then read the info at your leisure, in the bath, in bed, on the train... But what's so fantastic is the range of stuff you can get... Okay, there's news from Guardian, media Guardian, Ananova, ZDNet, VNUnet. I've also saved down maps to help me locate hotels... Advantages: Comfortable Accommodation at a Reasonable price, Convenient for Manchester, Leisure Facilities, Oldham's only 4 star hotel
Disadvantages: Some service aspects a little disappointing, immediate location not great, tired bathroom

...The Avant Hotel in Oldham is operated by Menzies Hotels, a small chain of approximately 16 hotels in the UK who have established themselves as a credible four star hotel operator since their inception in 1992. Like the other main hotel in the area, the Swallow Bower, the Avant is marketed as Manchester East, not Oldham and indeed it is a very suitable location for a visit to Manchester, as it is only about five miles from the City Centre itself, and only a mile from J22 of the M60. Our destination was in fact in the other direction, to a restaurant on Saddleworth Moor, for the second big family occasion in Greater Manchester in as many weeks, and for us the Avant proved to be the most logical hotel for ourselves, in an area which does not have a huge amount of choice, hotel wise. ...... Not me, I just AvantGo! I had always wondered if AvantGo was going to just be a passing fad, having originally signed up to the service in August 2000, when it was the closest you could get to 'net content on your Palm - and amazingly over two years a go it still has a stranglehold, and one that doesn't look like it will be surrendered in a hurry or without a struggle. AvantGo is a free mobile web clippings service, or at least it is a freeware piece of software giving you access to content from various providers, some of which in turn do charge subscription fees, although there is a lot of free content. I "rediscovered" AvantGo recently as a useful solution to a personal need. ...this review is so horrible to Audi. So lets get the good things out the way first , this model Is fast and it holds the road rather well, it's a high end go-kart , before I drove the Audi Diesel I always assumed that only 3 people drove diesel, Gypsies , Farmers and all of France . They were dirty, Slow and cattery and so were the cars they drove . But this thing is quite and fast , and no longer do simple village children run up to you and try to buy a Ice cream off you when you stop at the lights. It also looks good for an estate , or should I say Avant, its poised to drive rather than carry a coffin. Its also a easy car to drive, the controls are all logical ( that's because there are not many ) the gear change is positive and all the pedals are well positioned, it's a car designed to be driven, but not very comfortably.
