My 18th Birthday at Avanti

Advantages: Lovely food, nice atmosphere, friendly staff
Disadvantages: Quite cramped

...I first went to this restaurant with a mentor from university along with the other students that were being mentored. I liked it so much that I asked my parents to take me again. We have since been on several occasions the most recent being for my 18th Birthday. My mam, dad, my best friend Emma and I, met my older sister, Joanne and her husband Craig, at Avanti on Friday night. We booked a table for 7pm ready for my birthday celebration! Joanne and Craig arrived a little earlier than us (6.40pm) and were already at our table when we arrived. Tefal Avanti toasters

Advantages: Looks good, browns quickly
Disadvantages: I've had two and they both stopped working within 2 years

...I've had two Avanti toasters, and both stopped working after about 15 months (i.e. just long enough to be out of guarantee), despite having had fairly light use. I had a Tefal kettle too, and that started leaking after (luckily) about 8 months, so at least I was able to take it back. The Avantis were OK while they were working, though not outstanding. They browned the bread quickly but rather unevenly. The front-loading design looks smart and the high-lift feature is good, making it easy to get teacakes etc out. Overall the toaster is convenient to use, but it takes up a lot of surface space for a two-slice unit. Like the other reviewer I found that I used the bun-warmer attachment far less often that I'd thought I would (in fact hardly at all). When I wrote to Tefal about the reliability problems I'd had they gave me a brush...

If you are thinking of buying Avanti on the basis that you need a wider condom, do NOT waste your money buying AVANTI - whilst they are indeed stated as having a width greater than the average condom you can get in the high street, AVANTI condoms have virtually NO elasticity (this is due to them being made of polyurethane rather than latex). Likewise, therefore, don't be put off from trying them if you typically use an ordinary size condom and have been intimidated into thinking that they are for the well endowed. They are not! Well endowed men looking for a wider condom than the norm may, instead, need to consider Trojan Magum and Large...

The toaster I ordered from Amazon is, to give it its full name, a Tefal TT704115 Avanti Toaster, 2 Slice, Chrome and Black. Compared to old toasters (including my broken one) it is rather stylish and modern. The angled top is chrome and the case is black plastic. ...I needed a new bicycle helmet and here is the foolish reason why. I commute to work by train and bike and put my bike in the onboard cycle store so I can ride it at both ends of my journey. I reach my destination on a cold Monday morning and go to collect the bike from the store. ...advantages in using Avanti over other condoms: the lubricant used (and the small amount); and the fact they seem to be thinner than others. The first point pretty much relates to how irritating they can be. Let's face it, we're talking about putting on a piece of rubber (or in this case non-rubber) around a fairly sensitive body part, and then inserting it into another pretty sensitive body part. Shoving a cacophany of man-made chemicals around either of the two areas probably isn't the best policy, and particularly in the case of women, it can knock out what seems to be quite a delicate chemical balance in the vaginal area. However the BS kitemark requirements may kill the real potential the Avanti's can really produce (the Fulex brand might not have to put up with so rigourous testing, and may not be as reliable at preventing pregnancies). My verdict is might as well save some money (as these Avanti condoms are at a premium price!) and buy some Mates 'natural' for considerably less. Plus points is that it suited to people who are allergic or sensitive to other latex condoms. Heat transfer is better than the latex condoms and you can feel your partner's warmth better, and the tip is designed to provide some erotic sensations which stimuates the head and the cervix area...but I shall leave that to your imagination!...
