Microsoft XBOX 360 wireless headset
Advantages: Great looks, handy charge cable included
Disadvantages: Not great sound quality, no play and charge facility
...The microsoft xbox 360 wirless headset is very attractive and fits the ear very well - at least it fits mine anyway. The headset isnt particularly good at picking up quiet speech though, which is often a let down during games that require alot of detailed communication for tactics such as Gears Of War 2 or Call Of Duty WAW.
The headset is priced at £34.99 RRP, which i think is quite reasonable for what you're getting. The headset comes with full instructions and a charge cable that plugs into the 360's USB point. It cannot be used in a play-and-charge situation which gets annoying so you have to leave it overnight to charge. It is mcuh less cumbersom that the various wired headsets on the market and has a good range using the 360's infra red technology system.
There is a small silver button on the side used to turn the headset...

Official Xbox 360 Wireless Headset
Advantages: Volume - WIreless
Disadvantages: Everything Else!!
...I bought my headset recently from ebay. I was looking forward to getting it because i haven't been able to speak to anyone on xbox live for ages. Since my days of Halo 2 on the original Xbox.
I knew that the old headsets were crap, flimsy, uncomfortable and generally, just bad and plasticky. So i was looking forward to a change with the new wireless headset for the 360.
Everything that i was looking forward to just didn't happen. The new headsets are still crap, flimsy, uncomfortable and still plasticky - although not so much now. And they do look more stylish than the older xbox version. They look and feel similar to bluetooth headsets that have emerged recently.
As for the fact that it is no more comfortable, if anything it is less comfortable. I hate wearing it, it just flops off my ear, makes it really hot, itch and make my...

Microsoft Official Xbox 360 Wireless Headset
Advantages: Long Lasting, Small
Disadvantages: Must Be Charged
...Microsoft Official Xbox 360 Wireless Headset
This Xbox 360 wireless headset is definitely a long lasting microphone, which is quite durable.
One thing which I like about this headset is that its much more comfortable to wear compared to the original Xbox 360 Headset.
Another advantage about this headset is that its wireless so you don't need to bother with any wires.
The only disadvantage about this product is that it has to be charged.
The battery life for this wireless Headset is about 8 hours and it takes about 3 hours to charge fully.
You can use this wireless headset to listen and talk to your friend on Xbox Live.
I paid £35 for my wireless headset and it was well worth the money.
I recommend this product to all potential buyers....

Avoid the wireless option!
Advantages: Wire free
Disadvantages: Setting it up, loudness and sound quality, design
...Time to share with you my experiences of the wireless headset available for the Xbox 360. I noticed this category only has "helpful" rated opinions at best so time to make an in depth report on this piece of hardware! However, most options seem to completely contradict what im about to say about it!
Background.
The Xbox 360 is one of the most popular computer games consoles around. Its made even more popular by the fact you can play games online with other owners around the world. Whats even better is you can communicate with these users if you own a headset with built in microphone.
With some of the more expensive console packages, you actually get a wired headset with it. However this needs to be plugged into the front of your controller and can be somewhat restrictive. Therefore, Microsoft developed this......The Wireless...

Fantastic wireless headset for all uses
Advantages: Great volume , very light, works over long distances
Disadvantages: Fiddly set-up
...wireless channels. There is a volume control on the headset itself as well as a disconnect button. This disconnect button doesn't actually hang up the phone, it simply disconnects the headset from the phone. If you did this during a phone call you could press the button again and the caller would still be there. I must point out that this is not a mute button as you cannot hear the person on the other end if you push the disconnect button. This is the only issue I have with the headset. You cannot hang up or answer a call from the headset. This may be the way we have it set up at work. We have the handset still connected so we have the option of using the headset or the handset. If we want to answer the phone we need to lift the normal phone handset then push the connect button on the headset in order for it to work.
If you need a wireless...

WIRELESS GAMING - AT A PRICE
Advantages: Wireless connectivity to Xbox live, Simply to setup
Disadvantages: Ridiculously expensive, Doesn't come in black to match my Xbox 360 Elite
...If, like me, you have an Xbox 360, you will no doubt be aware of the dynamic and enjoyable facility available to you online, namely Xbox live. Xbox live is a place where you can download demos and game add-ons, chat to your friends, and stream movies and videos direct to your Xbox 360 in glorious high definition. But while the Nintendo Wii and the Sony Playstation 3 can go online straight from the box without any additional hardware, Microsoft, in their infinite wisdom, decided not to include wireless connectivity as standard in the Xbox 360.
This leaves you with a couple of options should you wish to get your Xbox 360 online; an Ethernet cable from your router is probably the cheapest way, but in these wireless days I was really looking at reducing the cables stretching around my home, not add to them. There is another method...

Xbox 360 headset
Advantages: clarity, freedom, style
Disadvantages: price, pain(can be overcome)
...I own this bad boy, just like every other product made by microsoft. It is clear, seemless, easy to connect, stylish, and pinacle of technology. When you change from wired to wireless headset on the xbox 360 controller. You get worried that when you drop your controller, your head will get yanked down like it used to. But it doesn\'t, its a strange feeling. Bonuses - you can go to the toilet and still talk; you can move about 10 metres away if you down have metal between you and the headset.
The headset is very painful mind you but if you are like me, smart, and your wired headset broke, you can nick the foam thing on the microphone, cut a hole in the top and slot it over one of the two different ear peices. Medium and small.
It has the two ear peices which will fit absolutely anyone.
The microphone is clear and is just the same as...

Gioteck EX-01 Ps3 Headset Review
Advantages: Comfy, good sound, looks slick
Disadvantages: only a usb charger with it? not a prob for me tbh.
...Well after stealing my mrs bluetooth headset so many times and having even more moans and groans then I have taken it, I finally decided to stop being tight and buy my own.
So as far as i was concerned a bluetooth headset is a bluetooth headset! So I went out to the local mobile shop to go and buy one, but on the way I popped in to swap a couple of old games for a new one and saw this headset.
So on the box (which looks all cool and has that black and red futuristic wow thing going on) it proclaims the product was designed with the gamer in mind, rather then a user for a mobile!
Anyway, the only thing I cared about was it's comfy! I had one ages ago from work and it felt like I'd selotaped a plank of wood to my ear, which dangled around all the time!
So the nice lad let's me try it on. Well it's nice! Nothing going into your...

Bring Wireless Connectivity to the Xbox 360
Advantages: No need for wires. Reliable
Disadvantages: Over inflated cost.
...Introduction
It is hard to believe that in this day and age where wifi internet connections are the norm, that the Xbox 360 console, does not ship with a built in wireless network adapter. The Playstation 3 has this built in and even the Wii manages it too, so why have Microsoft decided to omit it from the Xbox? In my opinion, the answer is simple, it is hard work to bridge a connection from your laptop and the majority of Xbox users will not have their console in close proximity to their router. Therefore, the only other alternative is to spend £60 and buy the Microsoft Wireless network adapter. Microsoft have been cute here, there are plenty of wireless USB wifi internet dongles on the market, all retailing for considerably less than the £60 Microsoft are asking, however, none of these will work with the Xbox, meaning...

Very nice Halo headset
Advantages: great looking wireless headset
Disadvantages: quite expensive
...I originally had the basic wired headset which comes with the xbox 360 premium console. Unfortunately this one was broken by my mum who hoovered up the wire causing it to rip out. I then bought a second one of these which broke of its own accord, and i was then rather fed up with the normal wired headset and opted to go for this new wireless headset, and thought it would be even cooler to get the halo edition one for only a small amount more!
It was quite a bit more expensive at £30 to the normal wired headset which is only £15, but i felt it would be a worthy investment and would survive longer than the previous ones.
It certainly has and i have now had this headset for about 6 months and have not had a single problem.
It is certain the perfect headset for both hardcore gamers and for just casual gamers.
Firstly, being not wired...
