Brilliant - as the name suggests
Review of Aveda - Brilliant Range by
Keeway
Advantages: A must for textured hair
Disadvantages: Perhaps the price
...The brilliant range of Aveda is mainly for textured hair, I believe. I have wavy hair and I use the shampoo, conditioner and retexturing gel. The 3 products used together produces more curls, rather than just waves. I use it everytime I have a night out, and also the night before I go on holiday, if I do not wish to wash it too quickly into the holiday. The combination keeps the style much longer than other shampoos. As it's name suggests, it's 'brilliant'. Especially for long haul flights, when everybody's hair looks like a nightmare as they get off the plane.
The retexturing gel is what it says 'a gel'. Although you know you have a styling product in your hair, it's not sticky, and will brush out, without any residue left, immediately.
I find the range a bit expensive, but I only use it in 'special situations', and it is therefore...

Aveda Sap Moss Shampoo - Great for thick hair
Review of Aveda - Brilliant Range by
Bertie2000
Advantages: Great for thick hair
Disadvantages: Hard to get out of the tube , needs a bit of work to lather up
...I was given a 125ml tube of Aveda's Sap Moss Shampoo by a friend. I have long, thick hair with a tendency towards dryness and split ends - and I am in my 40s so have a weather eye on the grey coming through .I have abused my locks with colour for a few years now!(I am female by the way!)
This shampoo was a revelation! It's quite hard to get out of the tube and doesn't lather up very much so you could be mislead into thinking it isn't really working. Persevere ! After I had had a good go at lathering and then rinsed it off (adding a bog standard conditioner after) - I then left my hair to dry. Well - what a surprise - my hair had more body and softness than it's had in ages. Not overly shiney but much more manageable and with great texture. Also the split ends seemed to have all but disappeared after use! I put it all down...

Shine On....
Review of Aveda Pure-Fume Brilliant Emollient by
Squiggles
Advantages: Superb shine in seconds
Disadvantages: Quite expensive
...have become my saviour, I have never experienced any allergies or reactions with their range of goodies, and believe me, I’ve tried them all!
Aveda Pure-Fume Brilliant Spray-On for Hair is a favourite of mine. It revitalises tired and dull looking hair in seconds and is simplicity itself to use. It’s a spray product, just spray it on to your hair lightly, comb it through and watch an exceptional shine develop within minutes. Its excellent for those of you who are in a rush in the morning without time to wash your hair, the shine and gloss this product provides to DRY hair is second to none. And it smells pretty darn good too, jasmine and rose being the predominant perfumes. Even better, it lasts all day, although the more you brush your hair, the quicker it will fade.
It works exceptionally well on dry, course and frizzy...

Universal Styling Creme - First Class
Review of Aveda - Brilliant Range by
CherylJ
Advantages: non-sticky, gives incredible shine
Disadvantages: only available in 200ml, no trial size
...Have you ever blow-dried your hair or let it dry naturally only to find that it looks dull and certainly not like it has just been washed? What you need is... Aveda's Universal Styling Creme which is, as the name of the range promises, BRILLIANT.
The creme is suited to all hair types but especially to curly and/or very dry, chemically-treated hair. Lucky me has all of the above and so declare myself the perfect candidate to voice an opinion on this product!! However, I have also tested the creme on all of the members in my family (my father is nearly bald so I let him off!) and can testify that anyone can use it. The less dry your hair is, the less product you need.
Due to the richness of the lotion, I advise you to use a very small amount to begin with (size of a 1p coin) and then add more later on if you need to. You can use...

Amazing shine, soft, generally perfect hair
Review of Aveda - Brilliant Range by
Miss_R
Advantages: Organic ingredients, absolutely amazing hair, soothes scalp, ethical company
Disadvantages: May not like smell of essential oils
...I have just discovered how amazing this product is and so i had to write about it!
Its the Aveda Brilliant shampoo and i got it from beautyandtheeast.com for £9.50 for 250ml and delivery is free! I dont think you can get a much better deal than that.
I ordered it because id heard great things about it and although i do love Kerastase Bain Satin (as you'll see from my other review) i do prefer things that are a bit more natural and with an ingredients label that you can pretty much read straight and not find anything weird sounding!
Aveda are a company know for using plant extracts and other naturally sourced ingredients in their products. The website states 'Aveda believes in conducting business in a manner that protects the earth, conserves resources and does not compromise ability of future generations to sustain themselves...

Brilliant!
Review of Aveda Blue Malva Shampoo by
merlina
Advantages: fantastic results
Disadvantages: none
...Brilliant effect, brilliant value, brilliant smell, brilliantly gentle - just all round brilliant!
This is one of a series of Aveda shampoos designed to subtley enhance the colour of various shades and tones of hair.
Blue Malva aims to add silvery brightness to blond and grey hair, neutralising any brassiness or yellow shades, to make hair appear brighter and shinier.
It works equally well on dyed hair, and can help refresh all ashy and pearl tones between using a permanent or semi permanent colour.
Like all Aveda shampoos, you need to use very little and so it works out quite economical. Again, like most of Aveda's range, it's available in very small trial sizes so you can see if it suits you before you have to decide whether to invest in the full size...
