Lovely scented, camomile shampoo.
Review of Aveda Camomile Shampoo by
Bouncebackability
Advantages: The smell is amazing, and the brighter colour result
Disadvantages: Perhaps the price.
...I first heard of Aveda hairproducts whilst watching QVC (the shopping channel). I always thought that they looked good, as they used natural ingredients and always sold out. However they were quite expensive so I thought maybe I'll get something again....
However whilst in America I was in a shopping mall in L.A (after walking along the walk of fame, and mingling with the stars! Lol.) I saw an Aveda shop which looked really nice, so I went in and was greeted in a typically friendly American way and asked if I needed any help. I explained that I'd seen the Camomile shampoo on QVC at home. She recommended it and the "Shampure" conditioner. So I handed over my money, and was shocked to see that it only came to about $18 for the two, which is around half price! I do love America!!!
So when I first used this I was pleasently suprised...

camomile blonde
Review of Aveda Camomile Shampoo by
angels21
Advantages: enhance colour and shine
Disadvantages: price
...If you have blonde hair and want to protect your natural colour that is of course if you are natural blonde then this shampoo is a must for you.Even if you are not natural then for those of you who want to retain the best out of dying hair blonde then this is great aswell. The natural plant extracts found in aveda shampoos work with the elements in your hair to help keep a vibrant colour, shine and overall good condition.Camomile is excellent on blonde hair to keep your hair light. That is not to say however that people with other hair colours are unable to use the shampoo as that is not so. The camomile works well on all hair to enhance shine and give a soft touchy feel to all hair types. Not only that when using the aroma given off from the shampoo is really calming....

A Lighter Shade of Pale
Review of Aveda Camomile Shampoo by
Squiggles
Advantages: Gentle plant essence based ingredients nourish and clean your hair gently but effectively
Disadvantages: None
...Aveda produces the most wonderful hair and beauty salon products with the added bonus that none of their ingredients are of the petro-chemical variety and are all entirely natural plant and organic based. This means all their products are incredibly gentle on the skin and scalp, and reactions and allergies are rare. Plus you are getting the best type of nourishing ingredients for your skin and your hair, as nature intended.
Their camomile shampoo is intended for those of us with lighter shades of hair or highlights. It is a very pale yellow in colour and smells simply delightful (with a hint of coconut), and a little of this goes a very long way. It lathers up beautifully making it very economical to use and removes build ops of grease, hairspray, gel etc very effectively.
Not only does it give your hair a thorough cleaning...

Was mine a fake
Review of Aveda Camomile Shampoo by
annalouise
Advantages: The smell
Disadvantages: What it did to my poor hair
...Having read absolutly glowing reviews of all Aveda products I decided I would splash out and buy some of this miracle worker. I went to www.lookfantastic.com where a fellow ciaoer had said the products were available. I also went to www.aveda.com to find out which shampoo would be best for me. I have dull blonde hair and so finally opted for the Camomile Shampoo which was desinged to brighten up blondes. Perfect. I couldn't wait for my shampoo to arrive and I would have hair like TV adverts. And a couple of reviewers said they didn't even need to use a conditioner because their hair was so soft and shiny.
Well, my parcel came and inside was my £7.00, 250ml bottle of magic. The website had thrown in a nice trail size pack of Aveda Rosemary and Mint shampoo which was rather nice. Hair-washing time came. I followed the instructions which...

Bring Out Your Natural Shine
Review of Aveda Black Malva Shampoo by
joannahudson
Advantages: natural ingredients, not tested on animals, smells fabulous
Disadvantages: none
...reasonable as you only need use a very small amount. A 500ml bottle will last me for about 7 months.
The colour shampoos are all suitable for any hair type, be it greasy, dry, or chemically treated. It will leave all hair types in great condition. If you have a sensitive scalp then Aveda products are perfect, as they contain no chemicals.
Aveda'a colour shampoo's do not only highlight natural hair colour, they are also great for keeping the colour on chemically coloured hair. They keep the colour looking fresh. My Mum has her hair coloured every six weeks, she uses Camomile in between salon visits and the colour looks as fresh as the day it was coloured a month after it was actually done.
The shampoo’s all have the same fragrance, as with all Aveda products the fragrance used is natural derived from essential oils. The shampoo...

Malva number fiiiiiiiiiiiive
Review of Aveda Black Malva Shampoo by
ElizaF
Advantages: Organic, effective, biogegradable packaging.
Disadvantages: Pricey. Hard to find locally.
...by air-infused technology rather than the ozone layer destroying CFC’s used in other canisters of the period.
My first experience with their products was when my Mother-in-law-to-be included a sample bottle of their Hydrating Lotion in my Christmas stocking one year. I was converted to this lurvely brand when I woke up 13 hours after first applying it and still had that super-soft feeling on my skin as if I has just come out of a mineral spa. Obviously with an experience this good with one product, I was left very well disposed towards the brand in general.
Shampoo "Flavours" available:

Aveda Black Malva Pure Plant Shampoo for very dark brown or black hair.
Aveda Camomile Pure Plant Shampoo for blonde to mid brown hair.
Aveda Clove Pure Plant Shampoo for brown hair.

Twin up Twinings camomile.
Review of Twinings Pure Flowers of Camomile Tea by
christina44
Advantages: Natural.caffeine-free,versatile for many conditions.Inexpensive Brand.
Disadvantages: None other than an aquired taste.
...Please excuse the corny title!
I am suprised that I haven't written this before now..considering it's natural beneficial properties, and as a non tea/coffee drinker this stuff is right up my street.
Now Don't think for one moment that you need the obligatory hippie tunic, the leather thonged sandals, the jesus beads,be a veggie,or a yoga guru to become accustomed to its' grassy taste..
Just learn to enjoy the calming natural goodness this contains!
WHAT IS CAMOMILE? ITS' USES,AND A BIT OF REVOLTING HISTORY...
Camomile is grown in great natural and farming quantities in various fields,in different parts of the world.
In Italy it grows wild up the mountain sides and in the sunflower fields..(and cow pats!)and is a small grass strewn white petaled plant with a deep yellow orange center, rather similar in appearance to a daisy...

Universal Styling Creme - First Class
Review of Aveda - Brilliant Range by
CherylJ
Advantages: non-sticky, gives incredible shine
Disadvantages: only available in 200ml, no trial size
...it on wet OR dry hair. Aveda states that applying it to wet hair gives it slightly more hold but I have found the product to be weightless either way, as long as you don't use too much. I tend to apply a small amount to my wet hair, blow dry it straight, add some more then seal in the shine with straightening irons (ceramic are the best and less damaging to your hair). Heat is definitely the key factor in bringing out the best in this product. However, it can be left on dry/wet hair without heat to define texture and to smooth the hair.
It is the plant humectants in the creme which moisturise the hair and make it glisten so. The key ingredients are: Black tea, organic aloe, camomile and jojoba - the latter is well known for its shine enhancing properties (hint: jojoba oil can be bought separately from health shops and applied to the hair...

Aveda Sap Moss Shampoo
Review of Aveda Sap Moss Shampoo by
chris706
Advantages: Makes your hair smell and feel fantastic
Disadvantages: Can be pricey.
...Aveda makes a large range of hair care products. They are not tested upon animals and are made from natural ingredients.
I have already tried the Aveda range before, and was impressed by this product when I saw it on QVC. You can also buy it from Aveda hair salons and over the internet from Aveda.com.
This is a pricey product. It comes in a range of sizes from 250ml to a full litre pump bottle. Prices start at about £10 to £40 for the litre pump. However, it is economical - a little goes a long way. I have a friend who bought the litre bottle and it lasted for 6 months of daily use.
I bought the 250ml bottle as part of a special offer that included the conditioner for £20. The secret of the shampoo is that you leave it on for a few minutes for the moisturising benefits of the Sap Moss to take effect before you wash it off...
