...After having very short and spiky hair for most of my teens and early 20's, I decided earlier this year that I need a change and decided to grow my hair. When it got to a certain length, I purchased a pair of £20 straighteners from a supermarket. Being the 'typical' man, I decided that straighteners were straighteners, and I was not going to pay over the odds for a product that would no doubt do the job just as well. After getting sick and tired of waiting about 5 minutes for my straighteners to heat up, and about 45 minutes trying to get my hair straight, I decided on the recomendation of my friend to purchase a pair of the GHD mini thin straighteners. Great for short thin hair

Advantages: Heat very quickly
Disadvantages: Unable to cope with my thick hair

...I bought these recently as I cannot live without my older larger plated GHD's and thought that these would be a handy alternative. They do heat in under 3 seconds and have the same excellent ceramic plates as the larger version, however I found them very time consuming. I have very thick hair about shoulder length and unlike their larger cousins they were unable to straighten as effectively . On saying that they were brilliant on my fringe. I would recommend these to anyone with shorter or thin hair. A fashion conscientious male friend of mine used these and loved them and were perfect for his short hair. I would recommend using the straightening oil with these as they are very hot and I did find a few burnt strands of hair ....

Good Hair Day? Definitely!

...I've had these hair straighteners for roughly six months now and have used them probably every day since I was given them, so I feel fairly qualified to give my opinion: that I really can't recommend them highly enough!! The quality of GHDs is unbeatable - I've used a lot of hair straighteners in my time, and I've got to say that they really do give consistently good results. They heat up in roughly fifteen seconds, and you can straighten hair very quickly in a rush with a fairly good finish - which as you can imagine saves huge amounts of time in the mornings! Generally, unless your hair is remarkably stubborn, the hair will also stay straight for the duration of the day. ...I have been using Aveda haircare products for a long time. I first discovered them in Los Angeles whilst visiting friends. Their Bathroom was like an Aveda Store, which gave me the advantage of trying most of the range without having to buy any products. I love it, what can I say... It has a fresh natural smell made up from the various Organic herbs and plant extracts in it. But what is even better is that it works, and in a non drying way as many detox shampoos do. I use this once or twice week before using other products from the Aveda range. It is and should be used as a pre-wash. ie. before your regular shampoo or hair treatment. ...GHD hair straightners are something i really could not live without. I have got the Limited edition IV Kiss ones and although the price is what seems redicuoulsly high at £135 they are worth every penny! I`ve had so many hair straightners in the past, cheep ones because i didnt want to spend that amount, i am now glad i did at last splash out on these!! They come in a box, roughly the size of a shoe box, in one side is the GHD stylers and on the side that lifts open there is a packet of 3 GHD lipglosses in a small little box which are also fabulous. There is an instruction manual and a book containing a list of all the other products available by the GHD company. Solution to a whole host of hair problems

...Detoxifying shampoos were something I had always steered well clear of until I discovered this. Then, persuaded by the Aveda reputation I gave it a go - and am very glad that I did! I mainly use it to remove build up of styling products when I've been having a hard weekend on the town. You know the sort of thing - you're going out, put loads of styling product in; finish with hairspray; more hairspray during the evening to keep it in; no time to wash next day; different re-styling; product; more hairspray....etc etc. Well this gets all that out. No residue and no damage. Ever used a hair colour that was just too bright or dark? Wash a couple of times wit this and it will tone down. Regular swimmer? This shifts chlorine (including the smell) completely. It also gets nasty city pollution out of the hair and any residue of smoke...
