Aveda Clove Conditioner for brunettes

Advantages: An effective colourant, deep conditioning
Disadvantages: Expensive, weighs fine hair down, stains bath and hands

...I bought the clove conditioner and shampoo as a set from lookfantastic.com, as I'd had such a good experience with Shampure. Sadly, this conditioner didn't meet my expectations, which was a shame as I wanted to like it due to the natural ingredients used. It is a very thick conditioner, almost like a paste, so is difficult to spread throughout the hair. I think it was probably a little too rich for my fine hair as it weighed it down too much. Due to it's rich texture, I could only use it through the ends of my hair. It is a very effective colourant, more so than the shampoo alone, but this caused problems as after prolonged use the ends of my hair had picked up more colour than the top. Great conditioner for all hair types

Advantages: non-greasy, smells fab, easy to use
Disadvantages: It may not be quite enough for people with very dry hair, you may need to use a wash out conditioner first.

Great for short thin hair

Disadvantages: Unable to cope with my thick hair

...I bought these recently as I cannot live without my older larger plated GHD's and thought that these would be a handy alternative. They do heat in under 3 seconds and have the same excellent ceramic plates as the larger version, however I found them very time consuming. I have very thick hair about shoulder length and unlike their larger cousins they were unable to straighten as effectively . On saying that they were brilliant on my fringe. I would recommend these to anyone with shorter or thin hair. A fashion conscientious male friend of mine used these and loved them and were perfect for his short hair. I would recommend using the straightening oil with these as they are very hot and I did find a few burnt strands of hair ....

...I've used the product and it works 110% i'm so fussy with my hair i wouldn't recemmend it to anyone if i hadn't used it myself go buy it !!! I only ever use shampoo on my hair now when actually washing it as i have to be very careful because of a scalp condition so i leave what i plaster onto my hair to a complete minimum. I wash my hair in normal shampoo and leave my towel on my hair for a minimum of 15 to absorb all the water take the towel off and spray my hair liberally in the stuff it is brilliant for detangling and smells fantastic, I've used it for a few years now and it really works well and if you shope around most places you can get it for 2 for £5, I would definately recommend it GO BUY IT !!!!!...

...WOW!! Forget all these designer hair products this one is the ultimate 100% effective. Like many other women I have purchased half of Boots supplies of all the wierd and wonderful concoctions for your hair that promise to straighten it, defrizz it, protect it. And to be honest half of them don't work at all. But this leave in conditioner definitely "does what it says on the tin!" I have tried several products to tame my 2 year olds long, curly hair without much success but with loads of screaming and running off to hide as soon as the hairbrush appears.
