Ever since este lauder bought the Aveda label I have noticed the prices hiked up a little also can only be sold my aveda salons so I have since moved away from the brand generally. my experience with the shampoo: it is a clear shampoo with a light consistency and as it is quite concentrated you only need the smallest amount to get a lather going - although this does make you wonder what chemical's are put into the shampoo - does it really live up to its eco-friendly claims?? A body lotion that actually refreshes the skin and senses

Advantages: light, hydrating, non sticky and cool-warm sensation
Disadvantages: can sting of used on freshly shaved skin

...really is; there is scientific studies showing that limited amounts of sulphates (SLS, ALS) does not irritate the skin esp iif it then rinsed out straight away as shampoos are. It is now part of the este lauder corporation but operates and manufactures seperately. The Body Lotion: Ok ramble over, I don't why I did that I just felt like a ramble today. The aveda romsemary and mint body lotion is part of their rosemary and mint collection which includes shampoo, conditioner, hand + body wash and this lotion. It is one of their more basic ranges. The body lotion contains, aloe vera, lavender, marjoram, peppermint, rosemary, menthol and vitamin A and vitamin E. It smells alittle like lamb dressing ha ha okay not so bad, but very minty and slightly spicey. It is a very light lotion which sinks in straight away leaving my skin tones, refreshed...

Mint & Rosemary Face Mask

Advantages: Fantastic smell, good results
Disadvantages: Can be messy

...A while ago I had a special Boots voucher for £2.50 off selected brands facial skincare. So I decided to get this because it was £2.50, and therefore cost me nothing. I later bought two more for 10p each in a clearance sale at Boots. I'm definitely glad I bought this, it's a fantastic product. Packaging It comes in a nice little tube and contains 100ml of the face mask. The tube is quite attractive, and just explains a bit about the product. However it can be difficult to get out when there's not much left. Smell The face mask itself smells amazing! The mint and rosemary scents go really well together and creates a really nice smell. This is good because when you leave the face mask on for a bit it should smell good. Application It's probably best to give the tube a good shake before squeezing it out...

Price -------------- Now I have looked at the website and it costs on there $9.00 for 250ml, I?m not sure what that converts to but I have had a look around and you can buy it on www.hqhair.com for £8.00. I think this is very expensive for a shampoo especially as you can buy an Avon one for 99p! I know they may not be as good but what have Aveda put in theirs?. Little drops of gold????? Usage ----------- Aveda say to massage on to wet hair then rinse, and to follow with rosemary mint conditioner, well they would say that wouldn?t they! My experience ---------------------- I love the smell and that is about the most positive thing I can say about it, the mint is so refreshing and reminds me of my grandpa?s garden where he used to grow...

MMMMMM MINTY

Advantages: Easy to use, Great texture, Nice smell, NO build-up
Disadvantages: not all that good for really dry hair

...If any of you out there are reading this have read any of my other opinions on Aveda Products, you will have gathered by now that I LIKE AVEDA. I use Rosemary and Mint conditioner as my everyday conditioner. I have pretty good hair condition most of the time. I find that this water based conditioner from Aveda a real essential. It does not leave my hair heavy or fly away it just leaves it feeling naturally soft and smooth. I use Rosemary and mint conditioner after every wash regardlesss of which Aveda shampoo I am using from the range, alternating with a colour treatment conditioner about once a week. If you have very dry hair however you may need to use one of the other conditioners from the range. The Rosemary and Mint is lightest of all the conditioners in the Aveda range. It also may need to be supplimented with a treatment...

Wonderful Stuff!!

Advantages: Pure plant essence based...no chemicals!
Disadvantages: Limited on availability

...Aveda's Rosemary and Mint Conditioner has to be the best hair treatment I have ever tried. It is completely pure plant essence based (not a petro-chemical in sight!) and leaves your hair feeling shiny, tangle free and beautifully smooth and soft. One of the best things about this product is the fragrance, it is pure heaven and everytime I use this, the rosemary and mint plant essences gives me a real kick...it also gets rid of headaches I've discovered!!!!! Aveda is a salon brand so you know you are getting a top quality product and depite the purest of ingredients, it is actually very reasonable as you only need to use a small amount each time!! I buy mine in the one litre pump size and it lasts for months and months!!! Try it, you wont be disappointed!!!...

The first thing to say is that Rosemary is really easy to grow and in my experience quite forgiving too! Having said that Rosemary is not easy to grow from seed. I recommend you buy your plant from a nursery. They are really cheap, usually about £1 each. April is the ideal month for planting outside although it is not to late now in early may. Rosemary originates from the Mediterranean and so not surprisingly likes to grow in a sunny spot. It also likes sandy soil although my plants grow very happily in clay soil. Planting is really easy; simply dig a hole about 3 inches deep...

I had known about Aveda for a few years but had never got round to using it after a bad experience trying their detox tea ( that is to say, it really worked but the taste really put me off their brand for a while ). Even from their few ads though, I managed to absorb the facts that Aveda is a truly committed "green" company who are devoted to natural ingredients and protecting the environment. A line from their website really got me going, "Would you moisturize with petroleum? Enjoy the sweet smell of methyl-octine-carbonate? Accentuate your eyes with a coat of tar? " After a think, you probably decide that you wouldn't. And yet that's often what goes into more mainstream products. So you see my kick start into buying their products...
