The Flamingo Benidorm Hotel

Advantages: All Inclusive, Plenty Of Entertainment
Disadvantages: Lots Of Kids

...I recently stayed at the Flamingo Benidorm Hotel in Benidorm, Spain for 7 nights between the 17th and 24th October 2006. LOCATION The Hotel is located about 800 metres inland from Levante Beach, and about the same distance from the Old Town. It is set in one of the quieter parts of the resort on a slight incline. It is not to be confused with two other Hotels in Benidorm that have similar names; The Flamingo Oasis Benidorm and the Flamingo Aparthotel. The address of the hotel where I stayed is as below: Flamingo Benidorm C. Marbella, 2 03503 Benidorm Alicante Spain Tel. +34 96 586 53 53 Fax. +34 96 683 02 45 email: book.flamingobenidorm@marconfort.com THE EXTERIOR From the outside this Hotel does not look anything special. It is a tall building, as are almost all of the Hotels in Benidorm with 25...

Fantastic benidorm hotel flamingo oasis

Advantages: Either for a family holday or just a adult gettaway
Disadvantages: none in my opinion

...I have stayed at this hotel about three or four times, but many more times in benidorm however this is by far the best hotel in benidorm in my opinion.from arriving the staff are just so friendly and welcoming they really can not do enough for you, there is a very wide range of entertainment starting from nine in the morning through until the early hours. during the day there have water activities for both adults and children, also daytime disco kareoke on an evening the entertainment is aimed for both adults and children totally family friendly, the food at the hotel was far above what i was expecting the food varies from day to day, they serve food from breakfast to midnight. there is also a small bar and resteraunt out side by the pool were you can grab a burger normally i like to explore out of the hotel however for the full week i...

Benidorm

Advantages: plenty to do, sun, sea
Disadvantages: no disadvantages

...For my honeymoon last July we wemt to Benidorm and it was the best holiday that we have had had. I'd go back there again. There are people of all ages there, and things to do for everyone. You would never be bored of things to do. Benidorm is split in to two parts, the old town and the new town. The old town is where the locals live and is quieter and the new town is where the tourists go and is very lively. We stayed in the new town but did go to the old town a few times. There is a theme park called terra mittica, where there are quite a few rides to go on. This theme park opened last summer. The theme park is in sections and named after different countries. There are different rides for adults and children. There is a rollercoaster which I did not go on as I do not like them, waterlog, a ride like the pepsi max at Blackpool...

Diamond review  If you have never been to Benidorm before

Advantages: lovely scenery, places to visit, warm temp, lots to do
Disadvantages: slippery downhill marble paths, READ MY BUYER BEWARE OP

...a dream. But this whole experience felt like a dream to me and one I couldn?t wait to take part in again. As we started coming over Spain, I could see huge brown, dry looking mountains with light wispy clouds overhead. It reminded me of Chelsea buns with thick icing on top. Spain didn?t have much cloud, so I could easily see the dry, unspoilt land below. It looked very pretty. At last we started to get lower and lower and before I knew it, we were starting to land. I didn?t like the landing experience as it hurt my ears to an extent so painful and they were still hurting for a couple of hours after the flight. Paul said this was normal until you started getting used to flying. Doh - I didn?t want to have to put up with that pain again. It was unbearable. This opinion is going to be based on my 2nd time to Benidorm which lasted for 2...

Hotel Riudor Benidorm ~ Basic Good Value

Advantages: Location in Rincon de Loix near Levante Beach
Disadvantages: Noise from surrounding bars - but that's Benidorm!

...The Riudor is one of those sort of "standard" Benidorm hotels. The Location is rather good, its listed as being on the Avenida Mediterraneo, but that's only the address, the swimming pool area fronts onto the Avenida, whilst the real entrance is towards the back of the hotel in a small passageway there. Drop off points from the airport will always end up here, as there is then only about twenty metres from the coach or taxi to the hotel front entrance. Local taxis will always drop here also, they know where the entrance is! Levante Beach is only a few minutes walk, and most rooms at the hotel have some sort of sea view through the buildings from each of the hotel balconies. Bus stops into the Old Town and out of Benidorm are about 120 mteres and 160 metres away, turn right out of the hotel down the passage to the Avenida...

The best hotel in the tourist trap of Benidorm

Advantages: Good service, great location, fine food.
Disadvantages: entertainment.

...Benidorm is full of third rate hotels catering mostly for the mass British tourist market. It is easy to see why it is so popular, with a great climate, blue flag beaches, good transport links, and close to a number of theme parks.Finding a good hotel however is another matter. Most of the Benidorm hotels are booked by the large travel companies and to be honest with a few exceptions remain cheap and cheerfull. The Don Pancho however is another matter. The WOW factor begins when you arrive as you walk thru the Mayan themed garden, with river and waterfall,to enter the hotel. The check in is one of the quickest in Spain and you are then taken along with your luggage to your room (unheard off in the rest of Benidorm hotels.) The rooms have air con, piped music, fridge, room safe,TV, telephone, and a vast amount of storage space. All the rooms...

Sun, sea and laughs! - Benidorm [Spain]

Advantages: Nightlife, Friendly people, Sun!, Scenery.
Disadvantages: Ants!, Spanish men and not much else =]

...In the Summer of 2003 I went to Benidorm with my sisters for 2 weeks. I have to say...it was one of the best holidays I have been on. Benidorm, located near Alicante on the Costa Blanca. Travelling from Alicante airport to our appartments amazed me. The scenery was breathtaking...it was so unusual and such a good experience. 45 mins- 1 hour later we arrived at our appartments. They were huge! My sisters and I got our keys and rushed to check out the rooms. The accomadation was great. We had a kitchenette, dining area, living area, 2 bedrooms and a little balcony with the most amazing views of the sea and beach. The first thing I always when I'm on holiday is unpack. But this time I just wanted to explore! So we changed out of out airplane gear and kitted up with more weather appropriate clothes... The first thing about...

Family Holiday? Head for the Avenida Park!

Advantages: Family only, half board offered
Disadvantages: Ciggarette butts round the pool, Hard to get booked unless booking early

...The Avenida Park Hotel in Salou in the Costa Dorada is part of the Golden Hotel chain which seems to have a few hotels doted about the Costa Dorada. We chose to stay here as it was classed as a Thomson Superfamily hotel and Thomson were the only British company to use it. As it transpires from information from friends who have visited here and from the Dutch guests who arrived it is also a Dutch company who use it although Thomson have most of the run of the hotel. The Avendia Park is situated about a 5 minute walk from the main street and about 10 minutes away from the beach. It's close to these places but ideally situated as you don't get much noise. The hotel has 8 floors. The reception area and the outside were very clean and looked very posh. The floor was a marble type floor and could be very slippy if you are not careful...

Best Western Hotel Mediterraneo, Catania

Advantages: Very comfortable beds
Disadvantages: Location, Poor room service

...etc. I wished I had booked the Una Palace in Via Etnea, which looked brilliant. It is in the main shopping street with loads of cafes, bars, shops etc. and has a roof terrace which would give brilliant views of the volcano. I thought about moving hotels, but couldn't afford to pay again. My hotel room was very comfortable and clean with a modern bathroom with the usual toiletries. A reasonable buffet breakfast is included in the price. Room service seemed very restricted ? although the bar did toasted sandwiches. If you are on a tight budget, advance internet booking on Best Western's website gives good value for money for the Hotel Mediterraneo. However, I don?t think this hotel would suit everyone. It certainly wouldn't impress the girlfriend and I wouldn?t want my mother walking round there on her own at night. The streets were...

Duffers Guide to Benidorm area (ish)

Advantages: Sun, sea, sand and sangria
Disadvantages: Benidorm is like Blackpool

...to depart. Taxi'd out to the runway, and whaddya know - hit by a snow shower - taxi back to the terminal to de-ice the wings :-} We arrived in Alicante without further delay, and were allocated a hotel called Albir Gardens and ushered to the right coach quite efficiently, which took around 40 minutes to get to the hotel. We found ourselves in a place called (not surprisingly) Albir, which was about 5 miles out of Benidorm, and about a 20 minute walk to the seafront. The area is quite pleasant, without the plethora of skyscrapers as found in Benidorm - the hotel itself only about 2 storeys high, with some rooms in the main building above and around reception, but many in small blocks away from the main building, mainly around the pool area. These blocks had 3 seperate entrances with 3 apartments (or was it 4) per floor per entrance...
