Avon Black Suede Shower Gel
Review of Avon Black Suede For Men Shower Gel by
Martinscholes
Advantages: It smells nice
Disadvantages: None
...This is another product from Avon of which I am rather fond.
Avon Black Suede Shower Gel is a light and pleasant fragrance. There is an initial sense of (what??) pine needles? No, not quite pine needles, but there is definitely something there that is quite different. But it soon settles down to a smooth and refreshing fragrance.
It is not over-powering and certainly helps to give you a "I just had a fantastic shower or bath" kind of a feeling.
It is sweet, yet not too sweet. Unlike the Avon Wilderness Shower Gel that I have also reviewed, there is not a hint of traditional fruitiness about Avon Black Suede Shower Gel.
Although it, too, is a certain kind of "woody" scent to it, it is of a different type of woodiness to, say, Avon Wilderness Shower Gel.
There is a sort of under note not of fruits but of cool, running streams...

Stimulates Important Little Parts
Review of Avon Cooling Leg and Foot Gel by
wulise
Advantages: Stimulates tired feet instantly!
Disadvantages: Greasy if too much is applied to the skin.
...My feet have been very important to me, as I am a trained dancer and also a Registered General Nurse. For both careers, I had to keep my feet and legs in excellent condition. (You are on your feet for many hours a day and not able to rest them correctly). The dreaded chill blains of my childhood had to be in the past. That is where Avon’s Cooling Leg and Foot Gel from the Footworks collection has come in very useful. It is an ideal treat for the feet!
Avon’s Cooling Leg and Foot Gel is ideal for reviving tired feet. It is also refreshes too, invigorating them too. When applied to sore, aching, tired swollen and hot feet and legs the gel is really soothing and relaxing. It seems to reduce the temperature of the feet when pain sets in and dulls the pain receptors. Avon’s Cooling Leg and Foot Gel seems to work effectively within a matter...

Avon Wilderness for Men Shower Gel
Review of Avon Wilderness For Men Shower Gel by
Martinscholes
Advantages: Smells nice
Disadvantages: None
...I like Avon Wilderness for Men Shower Gel. Well, if I didn't like it, I wouldn't buy it, would I?!
I Had some Avon Wilderness for Men some time ago, when the Avon Wilderness for Men range had just been brought out. A few weeks before Christmas we had a visit form a new Avon lady who had just started up in our new housing estate. A modern housing estate full of young professional couples? Ideal pickings for a new Avon lady, I would have thought? And so, nearly £30.00 later, it proved! (And I bought my stuff at special offer prices!
The catalogue had a scratch and sniff feature on several pages and one of the pages that featured the scratch and sniff facility was for Avon Wilderness for Men. I sniffed it and immediately recalled how much I liked the product.
So I decided to buy some Avon Wilderness for Men Shower Gel and also some Avon...

Pushing the Senses
Review of Avon Senses Shower Gel by
dannyjb123
Advantages: cheap, wide range of smells.
Disadvantages: None I can think of!
...Avon Senses shower gel comes in a variety of different 'flavours' these are -
Divine Time
My Moment
Fantastic Day
Get Ready
Re-charge
My favourite of the 5 is the Get Ready range. This one seems a more 'manly' variety than the others in that it is not a flowery scent. It is similar to many similar brands which market their product as a 'sporty' fragrenced shower gel.
the product itself blue in colour and comes in a 250ml bottle that has a flip up lid. The design of the lid appears to be much sturdier than other shower gels and shampoos which can have the hindge break now and again.
I have found this shower gel to provide a good lather and not much gel is needed per shower. The gel seems slighty more watery than some others but this does not seem to affect the quality of the product at all.
My second choice in this range is Re...

All Rolled into One
Review of Avon Footworks Gel Scrub with Beads by
wulise
Advantages: Soften my skin!
Disadvantages: Why could it not have been introduced years ago!
...No it is not one of those new fancy toothpaste but boy does it smell like one, with its fresh mint fragrance.
It is not a styling gel for the hair either, although it is thick and creamy, feeling like one.
It is not a facial scrub either with its gritty pieces, although you are getting a little closer.
So what is it?
Well it is actually ‘new’ to the Footworks range and is called ‘Gel Scrub with Beads’ from Avon. It is a foot exfoliator, refresher and moisturiser all roll into one.
********************************************
Since hurting my back seriously in a road traffic accident my feet have become a real mess with dry, cracked, sore and even areas. (Well any reflexologist will tell you that the state of your feet reflex you health). I have seemed to lapse with their care over the last couple of months. I have always...

Not rare enough, I'm afraid
Review of Avon Rare Emeralds Shower Gel by
AnitaB
Advantages: Very nice tube
Disadvantages: Smells like cheap aftershave
...Generally, I'm a big fan of Avon products, but not this one. I actually threw the tube out before I'd finished it.
The one (fairly important) thing that let this product down for me was its overpowering and not particularly nice smell. Perhaps it would smell better on you?

Avon Rare Emeralds Moisturising Bath and Shower Gel
----------------------------------------------------
PACKAGING (5/5)
Looks great! This gel comes in a lovely darkish green tube with gold writing. Very stylish! The lid unscrews right off.
FRAGRANCE (1/5)
In a word — horrible! To me, this smells of strong, cheap aftershave (sorry Avon). And boy, does the smell persist after you've rinsed it off (yuk, yuk, yuk)!
COLOUR AND CONSISTENCY (5/5)
A lovely looking transparent, pale, yellow gel.
FOAM-ABILITY (5/5)
Good...

No unwanted little itches from this gel.
Review of Avon Aqua Sensitive Shower Gel by
wulise
Advantages: Ideal for all the family.
Disadvantages: Used by all the family!
...At the moment I am having a lot of fun testing new Avon products. Today I would like to introduce the ‘Avon Aqua Shower Gels’ range to my Ciao portfolio. I thought I would try these Shower Gels out as they were on special offer and I had forgotten to pack some “everyday” shower gels to use at the gym. Well that is my excuse and I am sticking to it! Okay so the gym provides a shower/shampoo but I personally do not really like the aroma, or the fact that it is not designed for sensitive skin. Now I must get back to the subject in question, ‘Avon Aqua Shower Gels’ and in particular Aqua ‘Sensitive’ Shower Gel.
In the past, I have tended to use Aqua ‘Sensitive’ shower gel, simply because it did not upset Shane’s skin or mine. (Shane tends to suffer from Eczema and generally has sensitive skin). The un-perfumed shower gel would gently...

To Tease and Tantalise a Man.
Review of Avon Skin-So-Soft Moisturising Bathe & Shave Gel by
wulise
Advantages: Soft and sliky skin in the important little places!
Disadvantages: Only comes in one fragrance.
...I do not often shave. No, I am not a hairy beast; instead, I prefer to be sugared. So when I do very occasionally shave I like to make things as easy as possible for my ‘sensitive’ skin. This is where Avon’s Moisturising Bathe and Shave Gel comes into its own. It can be fond in the Skin so Soft range but only comes in one fragrance, Soft and Sensual, at present.
I find that Avon’s Moisturising Bathe and Shave Gel gives a smooth but very close shave without cutting my skin or causes any harsh skin reactions, particularly in those, important little places! The romantic aroma of the floral blend of jasmine and rose smell delicate and yet has healing properties. (Any skin nicks are treated immediately). The spices and ylang ylang tease and tantalise my hubby, so helps on the romance front too.
The gel is thick, rich, creamy and luxurious...

No, it's not LEMON CURD
Review of Avon Aqua Citrus Shower Gel by
wulise
Advantages: Real value for money.
Disadvantages: Need to get out of bed in the morning to use it!
...I find it easier to shower than bath these days due to my physical disabilities. I find I have to shower around twice a day to prevent my skin from becoming sore due to sweat and inactivity of sitting in a wheel chair for much of the day. I am also fussy about what products I use. I love the zingy, fruity citrus smells first thing in the morning: tangy lemons, refreshing lime, sharp smell of grapefruit and of course invigorating smell of oranges, all help to wake me up and stimulate my mind, (there are one or two brain cells there!) Yes, a citrus fruit cocktail to incite the skin tingling. So what do I use? Well my preferred choice is Avon Aqua Citrus Shower Gel to liven up my day. You do not feel like you are washing in lemon curd either!
I tend to rinse my body first before applying the shower gel. It find it works better that way. I...
