...I have been using AXS Telecom for about three or four months now and I am very pleased with the amount of money I have saved. The best thing for me personally is that I can register my one2one mobile with them so that I can make calls from my mobile at landline rates. What other company offers long distance UK calls from your mobile at only 2p a minute? You can even call internationally for very low rates. Whilst I'm not very happy with AXS customer service, I am more than pleased with their prices. Highly recommended.... Read review

Advantages: No minimum call charge, just 2p a minute, anytime!
Disadvantages: You have to dial the number in front, and the evening rate is no different from peak rate.

...AXS Telecom provides a good service, which you have dial up from a standard phone line, and you will get billed separately through them. Just 2p anytime of day from any BT line, and other cable companies such as Eurobell. But the brilliant thing about AXS is that you don’t pay a minimum call charge, so you can make a phone call or Internet call (to anything apart from 0845 and 0870) for as little as a penny! (Great saving, if you just want to pick up e-mail or make a very quick call!) I have tried it on both my BT line and Eurobell line, the service is especially good on BT line, and on Eurobell it is still very good, but you have to dial more numbers in front. When registered, you dial 1615 on BT line and a 0800 number on any other line, which isn’t BT. When the number as been dialled, you will hear it go silent... Read review

Advantages: Cheap tax and cheap to run

...Just over a year ago I decided to buy my boyfriend a car. I managed to get my hands on a black J-reg Citroen AX GT with around 78000 miles. It was a bargain at only £200. I thought the car was great to start with, however my boyfriend was almost in tears the first time he saw the car. He thought it was awful and a total waste of money. The car stood for three months collecting bird droppings on the road, until one day my man decided that he did indeed like the car. My boyfriend is now besotted with “Esmeralda”, and has started the work in modifying her. Getting her through the MOT was expensive, and new tyres cost more than the actual car. The Citroen AX GT is a very good car, if you manage to get a hold of a good example. The max speed of ours is a very respectable 100+ mph, and we are sure that there is more power under the hood... ...AXS are the cheapest phone company I have found - 2p/min 1p/min anythime for UK calls - Ok, customer services is sometimes slow and their bills are pretty unitelligible (but correct) - but what a price! All you have to do is register and then dial 1615 before your number (it is very occasionally engaged)so you can choose when to use it... You can also get a card (&PIN) to use from any landline phone which is then charged to your home account - beats BTs 20p per call from a phone box!! - or any mobile!!... Read review

...As Australians living and working in England, we needed a cheap, reliable phone company to keep in touch with friends and family in Aus. AXS offer us calls for 5p per min, itemised bills, reliable service, and friendly help. We had no troubles signing up to the service, and are saving over 50 pounds per month on BT phone charges (as reported on our phone bills). The service is a little harder to use for us, as our standard phone line is not BT, but after programming the free call number into our phone, even this is not really an issue any longer. Many other phone companies have these sorts of rates to Aus, but how many others are as reliable and simple to use?... Read review

...I've been using AXS Telecom for about a year now and I reckon I've saved myself well over £200, at just 2p per minute 24 hours a day its crazy not to use them. They credit my account with £5 every time I recommend somebody to them and thats added up to nearly £100. ...Citroen AX - my parents purchased an AX model about 3 years ago. Since then I would consider it to be very reliable. We've rarely had any trouble with the car and it has performed to a very high standard. I myself am in the process of learning to drive and have been using the Citroen. Although I'm no motoring expert and this is the first car I have ever driven I would still say that I've found it easy to handle. Braking is very sharp and the car can do a good few miles to the gallon. For those out there looking for a first car I would suggest you consider Citroen - not just the AX model but in general. The bodywork is very good and like I said - we haven't had a lot of trouble with it. Safety is also a very well considered feature from Citroen. However it isn't the most spacious of models although the seats are moveable... Read review

...Like many other people I try to keep our household bills down so I try to keep track of new suppliers of services and price changes. Recently I have discovered a company called AXS. They offer good priced phone calls. The day time rates for land to land phones are 2p a minute for local or national calls compared with 2.4p a minute for local and 3.2p a minute for BT that is based on BTs Together rates and the Best Friend discount. It not a Best Friend and only Friends and Family it goes up to 2.7p and 3.6p. The added bonus with AXS is that there is no monthly charge or minimum call charge. You keep your BT line and obviously pay your line rental to them so if you use AXS all you pay for is your phone call. Their evening rates and weekend rates are also 2p a minute local or national so if you have BTs standard rates AXS is cheaper... Read review

...I have recently purchased my first car in which I am going to learn to drive in. I have been intending on doing this for a while but only recently have I had the money to put into it. So myself and my dad set off one Saturday afternoon a week or so ago to have a look at some cars. The brief was quite simple. I wanted a car with a small engine (insurance & tax purposes), that had a decent body on it, and would be economical to run. I had a around a thousand pounds to spend. ...Hi, I bought a Citroen AX Echo 1.1 a few years ago just before car prices went down and it cost me a whopping £4000 for an M reg which at the time was about 4 years old. The fuel economy on this little machine was phenomenal, I was getting around 60 - 70 mpg even on the motorway. As you can tell just by looking at one of these they have a very individual identity. I desperatly wanted to modify my car and bought this because it is a 'hot hatch' and thought it would be easy however there is only a hand full of people who do modifications for the AX, and I bought the 5 door rather than the 3 door. These cars are very fun to drive the handling on them is up to scratch and the performance is'nt to bad even for a 1.1. In the 3 years that I owned my AX I never had any mechanical problems the only things that I changed were things like the tyres... Read review
