Axa Car Insurance, Should be axed if you ask me
Review of insurance - lower insurance premiums by
rachypay
Advantages: cheap
Disadvantages: time, frustrating, unhelpful,untrained staff
...Car insurance is legal must. Tempted, by so many insurers, brokers, and branded names, it is difficult to know who and what to trust.
You can save time and money, investing in a research period to give yourself time to serach for cheaper deals, but whatch out on the excess amount you have to pay, rising as the policy gets cheaper. Otherwise you will be paying out the first £250 pounds!
The cheapest deal is always tempting, and whatever the company they are always ready to take your cash. It is a gamble which ever company you choose, there service is never really put into notion until a claim is in full throttle.
Well Axa insurance, which we got through a company budget insurance ( they search through a directory of companies to offer you the cheapest deal)an internet based company are indeed so un proffesional that you are left...

You only have to AXA what
Review of AXA Sun Life Investment Management by
northern_lights
Advantages: They invest and look after your money for you
Disadvantages: The value of shares can go down as well as up
...Sun Life Assurance Society was established in 1810 and Equity and Law in 1844. You probably wonder what on earth that has got to do with AXA Investment Managers? Well, these well established and well known UK companies were the beginnings of a company which now has £45 billion under management in this country.
Life assurance and insurance companies have been investing in the stock market and in property for many years and to do that they either employed their own fund managers or outsourced this responsibility to outside fund managers. When they employed their own fund managers it didn't always prove very cost effective. It would be difficult to attract and keep expert fund managers when fund sizes were small and when more attractive job opportunities existed in the City. So what to do? Either the insurance companies outsourced...

AXA Sunlife insurance
Review of Axa Sun Life by
Jeser
Advantages: Great Gurantee of building up a tax free lump sum
Disadvantages: None
...REVISED EDITION PLEASE READ!
I decided to switch my insurance provider as I am very impressed by the BONUS CASHBUILDER PLUS.
I have watched the fantastic commercial hosted by Carol Smille on the outstanding features of the BONUS CASH BUILDER PLUS and anlso recieved a promotion for this in the post last March.
I have been very inspired by this saving product so I took out a BONUS CASHBUILDER PLUS MYSELF.
I personally feel that with the very low interest rates at the moment that this is the very best way to secure a substantial tax free lump sum in the next 15 years.
I would like to promote the features of this plan.
* You can start saving from a minimum of £10 A MONTH increasing 20% for every one of the first five years of the plan and then you pay £20 a month for the subsequent 10 years afterwards in the plan if you...

Credit Due to BarclayCard Motor Insurance
Review of Barclaycard Motor Insurance by
sjl02
Advantages: Beat any quote, good service
Disadvantages: None so far
...I hate motor insurance, I hate the wedge of my income that I have to spend every year on protecting my car from some of the idiots who think they own the road or have fluked their way through our country's pathetic driving exam. Anyway enough ranting, onto the facts.
I've just left Axa, who I didn't have a problem with at all. For the 2nd year running, Axa gave me the "best" price on my insurance with sufficient cover etc. However tucked away in a draw was a letter which I'd had during the year from Barclaycard promising to beat any quote, no quibbles.
I've a P reg VW Polo and 2 years no claims, living in a decent area & am 25,male.(useful to know if you have / are similar).
So I spoke to Barclaycard, who weren't after too many questions. I got through straightaway and after about 3 minutes, I had a quote, only £10 cheaper...

NOT the CHeapest - but CHeerful Motor Insurance
Review of Tesco Insurance by
Connoisseur_Haggler
Advantages: 5% discount for online quotes, easy to apply, competitive premiums, helpful staff
Disadvantages: need to get letter for NCD proof, (not available in R.O.I or Northern Ireland)
...was looking for fully comprehensive cover, for a 2.0L engine car (Group13-14 Insurance Group). Fortunately I have always had ‘protected’ NCD so my previous accident/claim did not make any difference to my premium.
I tried about 8 different insurance companies ranging from my previous insurers CGNU (Norwich Union), Axa, AA (very expensive!), Prudential, Churchill, Eagle Star and Direct Line. These premiums ranged from £580 -£800, but Direct Line - turned out to be cheapest quote (£440)- but following a poor customer service and numerous errors I decided to cancel that Policy (see opinion).
Tesco’s Insurance Quote and Cover
-------------------------------------
Although I had a competitive quote from Direct Line [DL] I was dissatisfied with the level of customer service and knowledge. I was pleasantly surprised...

Great value travel insurance
Review of Direct Travel Insurance by
tsr2
Advantages: Very competitive price, underwritten by Axa
Disadvantages: I haven't found any
...-Travel, the premium was under £10, a saving of over 80%. I have yet to find anybody providing similar cover cheaper.
So, if I'm saving so much, am I getting a second rate policy?
My answer to that is no. First the policy is underwritten by Axa, a very reputable insurer and one of the largest insurance groups in Europe.
Secondly, I will admit that I don't have theft cover. I pay for all risks cover on my household policy and I chose not to pay for it again. You may think that even if you have all risks cover you can avoid a claim on your household policy by paying the extra premium. Unfortunately it is common practice in the insurance, where a risk is covered twice, for the insurer that receives the claim to pass some of the claim on. If you claim from your travel insurance, you will probably still find a claim on the record for your household...

Insuring your little precious
Review of Sainsbury's Pet Insurance by
donf18
Advantages: Best vets fees I've found
Disadvantages: Haven't found any yet
...insurance and even went to vets and got additional information to help us with our decision. Most policies were offering coverage of vets fees per injury/treatment of £2500. So when I investigated Sainsbury's policy I was more than pleased to find out that their vets fee coverage was for a staggering £6500 per claim. This would have be a godsend in Tara's case.
My policy cost me £6.20 per month which is also substantially cheaper than other quotes I received, which increased up to £9.79 per month. The policy is underwritten by AXA plc.
POLICY SUMMARY
1. The £6500 vets fee coverage no matter how long it takes to treat.
2. £2500 cover for treatment overseas
3. £200 toe cover cost of dietary treatment for treatment of illness.
4. Legal liability up to £2,000,000 for accident of injury caused to persons due to your pet.
5. Up...

Experience of a lifetime...
Review of AXA Direct by
tigger2
Advantages: A quick initial response....
Disadvantages: A slow reaction when things go wrong...
...We are presently insured through AxA insurance/ AXA Direct.
In May this year we had a flood in the bathroom, leading to the need to have our entire ceiling inoour lounge diner replaced.
The system which AXA uses, meant that this process is still going on in October..
The difficulty we have found, is that while the insurance company themselves are very approachable and deal with the initial paperwork and drudgery of the claim in its early stages, the details are then passed to a surveyors team, who then pass it to a building team, who then pass it to a contractor. This system works well when things go right and straightforwardly, but in our case, the first contractors to begin work left the room in a worse condition than when they began and we were asked not to use it due to the fact that it was deemed as unsafe. We have spent...

Don't trust your money to AXA
Review of Axa Sun Life, Pension Provider by
starry12
Advantages: None
Disadvantages: You'll lose out on months of interest and get nowhere
...Good points: None whatsoever
Bad points: Customer service, total incompetence and confusion, delaying tactics in return of money, I could go on!
I would never ever recommend anyone to trust their money to AXA after my experiences of this company.
Their pension plan was recommended to me by an independent financial advisor, and since applying for a pension in April 2007 I have had nothing but trouble.
They were quick enough to take the lump sum of money and put it in a holding account until the pension was set up. I waited about a month for confirmation of policy set up to come through, yet nothing arrived so I called them 3 times over the following month and a half ....each time I was told that they would send out a form for me to sign, yet nothing ever arrived.
At this point I decided that I wished to cancel...
