Numark Axis 9 The best value cd deck for rookies and bedroom Djs
Advantages: Consistent, All main effects (scratch + key lock that WORKS)
Disadvantages: No built in memory
...I dj 2-3 times a week and often take my equipment in and out of venues so I need equipment that is durable and reliable. Ive had a pair of axis 9's for a few years now. They have turned out to be quite reliable and consistent where more expensive models weren't .. very important if you dj'ing at a gig.
If you are a laptop Dj the Axis 9's works fine with all the major software, VDJ, Rockit, Traktor etc.
There are some new features on the axis 9's along with all the standard feature on the axis series. Pitch-lock (called key-lock on numarks) is one of the most useful features I use and in my opinion axis 9's do this much better than others in a similar price range like 1200DZ or CDJ 200. They have very decent effects that are really easy to use, most notably, the scratch function which is a direct improvement from previous models like...

206 SW - Reasonable enough, but lacking power
Advantages: Midrange estate
Disadvantages: Underpowered
...We recently went on holiday to Cornwall, and rather than face the 12 hour drive from Edinburgh, decided to fly to Exeter, and hire a car.
We ended up with a 206 SW 1.4 - which was a little smaller than what we'd originally ordered, but were reasonably happy with it as basic transport.
Unlike the photo (I hope to add some of the car I got, shortly) this is a five door model.
The car we got had a 1.4 litre fuel injection engine, with power steering and air cnditioning, it wasn't a top priority, but when the temperature climbed to the 30s - that's 90s in old money!, we were more than grateful!
The car itself was described as an 'estate' - I think that was perhaps overstating it - my preference would be to describe it as a 'squareback' - having a 'boxy' back end.
First impressions were that it was reasonably well equipped...

MusicMan Axis Review
Advantages: Great for smaller hands. Lightweight. Easy to play.
Disadvantages: Floyd Rose Trem. Hard to get parts
...I won't bother boring you with the specs of this guitar, if you are looking to buy it you will probably already know them already! Just for reference, the model I have is the orange quilt top with maple fingerboard.
The Axis has a Floyd Rose, as opposed to the Super Sport which I believe is more akin to a fixed bridge. I am not keen on Floyd Rose trems due to the extra hassle with tuning and changing strings, but that is pretty much all I can fault with this guitar.
The neck is absolutely incredible, especially for someone with smaller hands. It is my favourite guitar to play, as it suits my hands so well with its narrow neck and short scale, it's much easier than guitars such as PRS and Jacksons of similar price, which have wider necks.
I find the MusicMan does not produce particularly clean sounds when amplified; that is to say...

Peugeot 206 Sport 1.4 55Reg
Advantages: Stylish looks, stylish interior, nice alloys
Disadvantages: Instrument panel a bit too plastic
...I was forced into a purchase of another car as I had wrote off my previous one (Peugeot 106). As I had liked my old car I decided to get another Peugeot. Originally, I had wanted a second hand 307 but was lured by the free insurance and looks of the new 206 Sport.
I really like the look of the 206 Sport. The interior is very nice also, with the red and black trim. The one damper though, is the istrument panel with the stereo and air conditioning controls. It just looks out of place against the rest of the interior. It's as if they did a great job with the rest of the car and then suddenly they only had half an hour left to design the instrument panel!
It's also pretty cramped inside (I have the three door model) and I'm a short person. It is especially the case for the rear passengers where leg room is minimal. But as I am fairly...

PEUGEOT 206 1.4 - The Dark Secrets...
Advantages: Good-looking, good flexibility of back seats, user friendly dashboard.
Disadvantages: Safety is negotiable - brakes skid, 1st gear is weak
...PEUGEOT 206 1.4 FEVER 3dr PETROL (REG '04)
I was so surprised to see that on my first visit to the Peugeot section of Ciao, the reputation of the Peugeot 206 is so high. Maybe I'm the one unlucky owner of one, or maybe Peugeot have assigned their employees aliases with which to trail the web and sing the car's praises. I'm not going to slate the car, just describe my observations of the vehicle from my experience, so that hopefully, you would reconsider if you like.
I bought mine in June '04 from a Warwick Wright Dealership in London, with only 12.1 miles on the clock. New enough, so I was happy, as every car has test miles. Later on I would make my assumptions that maybe the Stig from Top Gear did my road test for me. The whole 'Fever' thing was promotional, just meant they beefed it up a little with fog lights, custom interior...

Just ask the Axis, he knows everything
Advantages: Some great rock songs here
Disadvantages: A forgotten album
...Axis: Bold As Love with its fantastic spaced-out cover art, showing the band as kind of like Hindu deities (cobras, elephants, kings, girls, firebreathers, the lot) was The Jimi Hendrix Experience's second release after "Are You Experienced?" in 1966. The passage of time has seen this album somewhat overshadowed by their debut and the later "Electric Ladyland" complete with their no 1 smash single, the famous and totally brilliant Voodoo Chile. But that's getting a bit ahead of ourselves so let's get back to this interesting record which has 13 songs in all and clocks in at a respectable 46 minutes.
The late 1960's was the era of the power trio, with such bands as Cream, Gun, and the US outfit Mountain playing hard rock with fuzzy guitars and heavy bass rythyms. Indeed the Experience's bassist, Noel Redding, was...

Labtec axis 301
Advantages: Cheap
Disadvantages: None
...Being an online gamer i decided to go out and purchase a headphone set so i could talk in person to my fellow gamers instead of typing into the games chat all the time (which often resulted in me letting my team down as i would get shot whilst typing)
The main criteria for my purchase was...
1. Needed to be hands free with a mic attached to the headset.
2. Needed to have a long enough cable to reach my sound card without being streched.
3. Needed to be cheap, i didnt want to pay silly prices for something i would only use 3 times a week!!.
Enter the Labtec axis 301, it is all of the above, it was simple to setup and came provided with a 2.4 metre cable which is ample for me.
The product also supports speech recognition although i havnt had the oppturnity to test the accuracy of this feature yet and a 1 years manufacture...

Peugeot 206 Look (AC) 3DR
Advantages: Nice looking Car - very nippy!
Disadvantages: Awful, awful, awful - would never buy again!
...I wanted a 206 after having two Peugeot 205s which were reliable and fantastic little runners - I thought the 206 would be the perfect upgrade.
I choose the Look - a special edition which gave extra features - Air Conditioning, metallic paint, CD player, dual airbags plus more. I also had ABS added on as an extra - which was a must for safety.
It is a lovely looking car and when working is a fantastic and nippy drive - I loved it - until things went wrong!
Day one - the indicator unit broke - apparently a common fault.
First month - leak in passengers footwell - more like a flood - again a common fault.
Leak in passengers foot well and under back seats - windscreen resealed.
Intermittent electrical faults - hard to prove - but the believed me eventually - faulty interior lights and headlights not turning on/off.
Coil...

206 SW - eye catching 206 styling,
Advantages: more space than a standard 206, looks
Disadvantages: spare wheel, noise from rear windows, inconsistent pefrormance
...This is the second 206 SW we have had since new, and the third 206 in total. This was my partners choice of car as I was mainly on the motorbike and she would be using it the most.
With the arrival of our child the standard 206 wasn't quite big enough for the luggage, so we went for the SW version (1.4 engine). Despite what the press say, the boot is alot bigger than the standard 206. there is no parcel shelf to remove, just a retractable blind which draws across the boot space if you don't fill it to the roof.
The first model we had was ta Agean Blue 1.4 Entice, which had the CD player, electric windows (front) and power steering. The 2nd SW was the Silver Verve 1.4. This had everything the Entice had, but also included alloy wheels, air conditioning and an internal central locking/ deadlocking system.
Driving the car is pretty...

PS3 SixAxis
Advantages: +Lightweight +Great battery life +Motion-sensing
Disadvantages: -No rumble
...The SixAxis controller is the standard controller for the PS3 at the moment. In the east (and possibly America) a new version has been released which has a rumble feature. This product will be out in the UK around about springtime. The current model lacks rumble capabilities. This may seem a bad thing, but you really do get used to it, I don't miss rumble at all now although I might buy the dualshock3 (the rumble version) when it comes out in the spring, as it's bound to add a bit to the experience of playing a game, but its nothing major. The lack of rumble is the ONLY possible negative I can think of for the sixaxis, although as it doesn’t affect me much I don’t really see it as a negative (although some might)
The controller uses bluetooth to connect to the ps3, you plug it into the ps3 by the lead, press a button in...
