GLEAMING TOILETS WITHOUT ANY ELBOW GREASE
Review of Neutradol Toilet Cleaning Tablets by  Wearsidelass

Advantages: Get a clean toilet overnight
Disadvantages: Be careful if touching the tablets

...Whenever you need to go to the toilet, whether it is at someone else’s house or a public convenience, don’t you always look to see if the toilet bowl is clean and smelling fresh? I know I always do and I tend to judge people by the state of their “smallest room”. The toilet is a breeding ground for germs and if someone’s toilet is in a neglectful state then I always wonder how clean is their kitchen. If their toilet is clean then I am always happy to have a cup of tea and/or food because I know that hygiene is important to that person. I simply cannot stand to see a dirty toilet especially if the bowl is full of limescale which has turned dark brown through obvious toilet actions. Yuk, the mere thought is revolting! There is no need for anyone’s toilet to be either full of limescale or discoloured as there are so many toilet... Read review

No more toilet trauma
Review of Babybjorn Toilet Trainer Seat by  lorrainekuk

Advantages: Doesn't move at all
Disadvantages: may have some splashes - see review

...I actually started a search for a decent toilet seat this year after toilet training my son in the summer. I couldn’t find a seat to fit our toilet; I think in all honesty we have a non-standard shaped toilet, more oval than round. I had bought a Mothercare own brand seat that I think is designed to fit under the actual seat, but because of my odd loo shape it wouldn’t fit, so we had to put it on top of the seat which made it impossible for my son to use alone as it kept skidding off. My friend had the same seat and I can’t say I was overly impressed with the fit anyway on a ‘normal’ shaped loo. So my hunt began for a loo seat and after looking around various sites I came across 2 that looked interesting. The Baby Bjorn and the Family trainer seat. The 2nd is designed to replace your existing seat, which I decided in the end... Read review

Toilet training is a breeze.....
Review of Rymax Family Toilet Seat by  Mamashango184

Advantages: One conveniant and hygenic toilet seat for all
Disadvantages: a little pricey but worth the money

...This is a 2 in 1 toilet seat for all the family. Comprises of an adult sized toilet seat and a child size toilet seat and a lid. The childs size seat hides in the lid when not in use, and is secured by a child friendly lock ( child friendly, the wee ones can do it all by themselves!). There is no need for any of that usual clutter that comes with toilet training, after purchasing one of these. Very conveniant for both mum and baby, and very hygenic, only one toilet to clean!! The toilet goes on like a standard toilet seat and get this, the pack even includes a set of plastic gloves for you to get the old horrible one off!! All fixings are included, and i managed to get mine on as soon as i got it out the box! I bought mine a few months back from a website, called: www.baby-needs.co.uk for £29.99 plus £6 p... MONEY DOWN THE TOILET (YES, A BUM WIPE REVIEW)
Review of Pampers KanDoo Toilet Wipes by  magdadh

Advantages: wipes the bum cleaner ans surer than the dry toilet paper
Disadvantages: horrendously expensive, unnecessarily perfumed

...Kandoo Toilet Wipes claim to be ‘your little one’s first toilet tissue’ …. or something to that effect. That was a put-off, as I don’t like niche products much. A machine for cutting rose shapes out of radishes, a saloon for cutting hair of married women aged 30 to 50 of Armenian extraction, shoes that are good just for getting in and out of the car in - these are all things that I view with a great suspicion. However, Katie is growing, she is toilet trained as far as the act itself goes; but she still needs help in the final (read: bum wiping) stages. So, I am thinking of ways to teach her to do it herself and as ’toilet wipes’ are marketed at precisely such buyers, and I had received a voucher for a £1 off a packet of Kandoo in the last mailing from Tesco Baby and Toddler Club, I decided to get a packet. The result... Read review

Good For Adult Toilet-Time Use
Review of Pampers Baby Wipes by  Ric-

Advantages: Keep your botty clean.
Disadvantages: Not really designed to be flushable.

...Pampers baby wipes were on offer a while back. Buy one, get one free at Boots. So I bought some - yet I don't have a baby. Even if you don't have a baby, read on to discover the benefits of baby wipes...... A few years ago, in one of my lectures, we were being taught about defecation. The lecturer was saying how poor our hygiene is in the western world. We defecate, then take a piece of dry toilet paper and proceed to attempt to remove any residual faeces. What we infact do, is a very poor job, and manage to irritate our skin, while mashing around bits of excrement. We haven't got a hope in hell of removing everything without leaving any residual behind. He went on to say how people from other parts of the world, particularly Asia, can't comprehend our behaviour. Many of them use water to clean themselves, making sure that they end... Read review

Kandoo, no, make that Kan-don't toilet wipes
Review of Pampers KanDoo Toilet Wipes by  lynnephillips

Advantages: Easy to use
Disadvantages: Everthing else

...ones to use. Simply push a button which has a frog print on in and up pops the lid. The lid is then easy to close. However, when we first tried to access the wipes we popped the lid and couldn't work how to get into the pack. You actually have to take apart the tub, take out the refill pack, take the seal off, pull out the first wipe a bit and then put the refill back into the tub. Mmmm Easy when you know how. Each wipe does pull out really easily, one at a time, always a bonus when you have kids. Obviously they can then be flushed down the loo. Now, my daughter is quite sensible but as these are just termed as wipes, do we want to confuse out little ones and let them think that baby wipes can be put down the loo too. A point worth baring in mind. The pack does state they are 'toilet wipes' but that's okay if you can read. Each... Read review

He he toilet roll
Review of Andrex Toilet Tissues by  Ethak

Advantages: it works
Disadvantages: more expensive

...of tooth paste from mirrors and well the obvious wiping of the hind quarters! Moping up stuff…yes I seem to have an ability to throw stuff everywhere…so it need to be absorbent and strong, preferably not likely to disintegrate when wet. Wiping nose and other areas…. soft! None of us want to sand paper our backsides do we? Keep them baby soft. Bar filling….something I have never tried I suppose it shouldn’t be lumpy! So there we have it, performance criteria for toilet roll! Well Andrex is about the most expensive around but as far as I can tell this is only due to the name, it is the most famous and Aaaaaarrrrr it has little puppies on the advert so it must be good. Also they are prone to do offers where if you send a ridiculous amount of vouchers plus money they send you a toy dog…now I had one... Read review

Coping with having a premature baby.
Review of Member advice on having a premature baby. by  Hannahlady

Advantages: None.
Disadvantages: See op.

...but here I want to concentrate on the advice that I can give to anyone in the aftermath of such an event. It’s the long lonely and scary days of looking at your baby through plastic windows that really stays with you and lasts long after labor finishes. I was nineteen when I became pregnant with my daughter and did everything as I should, gave up smoking, looked after myself went to checkups and took my supplements. I was just getting used to the idea that I would soon be a mum when at twenty five weeks my waters suddenly broke when me and boyfriend were at our new house late one evening. He had been decorating and I was supervising as us ladies do so well when we are pregnant! Being nineteen and in denial I ran to the toilet and thought I had wet myself and started crying either because I was embarrassed or secretly worried. Neither of us... Read review

The blocked toilet!!!!!
Review of Kandoo Baby Wipes by  scottishkat

Advantages: Gives your bum a fresh wipe.
Disadvantages: If you don't watch your child they tend to use to much.

...these wipes moist then replace the packet making sure that the hole from the packet tally's up with the lid and then replace the bottom of the box. Don't worry about children being able to open the base it's really hard it's a bit like a tupperware box and hard to seal shut. But the quality of the box is great and would last alot of wear and tear. The Kandoo wipes are made by a leading company Pampers so you know yourself they are good for the money. Now reading from the box the contents in the wipes...... Aqua. Dimethicone. Propylene. Glycol. Phenoxyethanol. Sodium. Acrylates/Vinyl Isodecanoate Crosspolymer. Methyparaben. Disodium EDTA. Parfum. Propylparaben. Ethylparaben. Polysorbate 20.... T o me there alot like baby wipes that you are able to flush down the toilet. But are great when the children have there number 2's they do find... Best Brand for Baby's Bottom?
Review of Huggies Pure Baby Wipes by  krazykat2005

Advantages: Fragrance and alcohol-free, no 'unnecessary' additives, often on a BOGOF offer, gentle on baby's bottom
Disadvantages: Strange smell, sometimes leave bobbly bits on baby's bottom, difficult to dispense without special tub

...quilted than your usual wipe, with cute teddy bears and paw prints embossed all over them. Instead of being separate wipes they are all joined up with perforations on each edge. You are advised on the packet that they are not the type of wipe that you can flush down the toilet. They are available in 'extra value' packs of 144 wipes, in a double pack containing two lots of the 144 wipe packs (or 288 wipes in total) or in a 3-in-1 kit, which also includes a large pop-open tub for home use and a smaller travel-sized tub for use when out and about. Other wipes available from the same company are the Huggies Baby Wipes plus Aloe Vera and Vitamin E. -- PRICE -- The pack of 144 wipes usually retails at about £3.28 (from Asda and Tesco) up to about £3.69 (Boots).
