Babyliss BEliss is almost perfect bliss
Advantages: Light weight, quick dry, straightens hair
Disadvantages: Not 100% straight,
...The Babyliss BEliss 2x hairdryer is the next generation of the Babyliss hairdryers that have straightening 'teeth' as an attatchment in order to straighten you hair while it dries. To be clear 'straight' is a relative term. I have had conversations with girls with naturally poker straight hair who were complaining that they wanted to straighten it more. Sat next to them with a head of frizz I couldnt help but find this annoying.
And to put into context I do indeed have hair that is neither naturally straight or curly, but somewhere annoyingly inbetween. Its also quite thick and I have slight layers cut in and a shaping around my face to 'take the weight out of it' as the hairdresser puts it. I do believe this technical jargon is what i pay for rather than the cut, but hey... These shorter bits often curl or frizz after i dry my hair...

Not belissfully straight
Advantages: Quiet operation, durability
Disadvantages: Doesn't straighten
....99 for a Babyliss Beliss hairdryer. At £29.99 this hairdryer is at the upper end of the market but I figured that as it was a straightener as well as a hairdryer it was actually quite good value. The hairdryer is purple in colour and comes with two attachments - one for blow drying and one for straightening. It is about the same size as a normal hairdryer and looks quite modern and stylish.
My tactic was to rough dry my hair using the blow dry attachment and then to start straightening. The hairdryer itself is not as powerful as other hairdryers that I have had in the past and my hair took longer to dry than I was expecting. However, the hairdryer does operate very quietly which is a bonus. There are two settings - slow and fast. I've never really given the slow setting a go because I had already found that the fast one wasn't that powerful...

I own GHDS and I love the fact that they not only give a poker straight look but also they create very glamorous curls, My friend came to my house the other week and she had just purchased the Babyliss pro porcelain revel conical wand curling tongs and she had done her hair that morning with them, her hair looked so amazing, the best I?ve seen it in years, I love the curls that ghd give don?t get me wrong but these tongs give a more bouncer curl and soon as I saw her hair I fell in love with the tongs, she told me I could try them out the next day, so the next day I went to her house and Tried them on my hair, and I loved them, I also curled my hair extensions with them and they looked fabulous.

My life saver, babyliss beliss
Advantages: Excellent for all kinds of hair with adjustments to suit
Disadvantages: May get confusing finding correct setting
...The new Babyliss Beliss product designed to straighten, smooth and shine as you dry has helped me massively with my unruly, curly and frizzy hair. Tourmaline-Ceramic plates grip and straighten the hair for a silky, shiny finish that makes straightening easy and less of an effort.
I often have to get up earlier to make time to sort out my hair but with this new product i can do my hair with ease and style in 5 minutes.
Whats best is you don't have to have a specific hair type, this product can help various hair types with its 4 straightening settings. it has an intelligent system that makes sure the device changes to straightening mode when the necessary nozzle is fitted and even has a cooling button incase it gets too hot! amazing.
This 1750 W product uses ionic technology to help produce a shine and healthy look for your hair...

Not a Beliss-ful experience
Advantages: Not very many!
Disadvantages: It doesn't work!
...flattening my hair just for it to rain and all my good work to be undone.
So when I saw the advert for the Babyliss Beliss I knew I had to have one - a hairdryer that straightens?? My word?. that could buy me a whole five minutes extra in bed....
...Or could it...?
The Beliss comes in a slightly 1980s metallic red finish. It is supplied with the straightener attachment and a nozzle attachment for styling without straightening.
In terms of technical specifications, the dryer works at 1750 watts. It senses when the straightener or nozzle are attached and changes the heat setting. The cable is pretty long but mine has kinked really easy when it has been stored. It also boasts "Ionic technology" which is supposed to make hair shinier...
The straightener has furry cushioned grips which are supposed to guide the hair through...

It's BEliss to me
Advantages: two tools in one
Disadvantages: not quite as straight as a straightener
...I spied the Babyliss BEliss a few weeks before Christmas and proceeded to leave plenty of heavy hints around the house to ensure I would receive one on Christmas morning.
As it turns out I almost ordered it myself as my other half was completely prepared to buy it from Boots at £29.99 when Argos was offering 20% off all their hair styling products that week, making it a much better £22 approx.
There was one main reason why I wanted to try out this new gadget that my other half was quite insistent I didn't need, and that was because it claims to be able to dry and straighten your hair with one appliance. Sold!
I am a sucker for the new things on the market if I feel they will improve my lifestyle and make mornings easier.
The one valuable piece of information I can tell anyone about this product before going out and buying it...

Is this Beliss-imo? a little........
Advantages: It does smooth and straighten!
Disadvantages: Doesn't quite produce the 100% perfect result....
...I have kinky hair! It's not curly, it's not straight - it's frustratingly kinky with a permanent frizz to it too! It's also very thick, which means if I want to smooth it with ceramic irons, I have to first get it dry. This requires me to either let it dry naturally and it stays fairly flat, or I use a normal hairdryer and end up looking like a poodle!
I saw this as I was walking through Costco. Babyliss, known for all their beauty products and gadgets, have come up with another must have! It's a clever combination of a hairdryer and hair straightener in one.
The 1600-watt hairdryer looks like it has a hairbrush stuck on the end of it. This is the straightening attachment. And on this attachment, there are three set's of combs, all doing a different task. The first set, detangle and comb the hair. The second set...

babyliss not for novices
Advantages: all in one machine
Disadvantages: instructions not very well explained
...I was bought the babyliss hair dryer/straightner for christmas.
I'll list the technical stuff first...BaByliss BEliss Dryer Product detail * 1750 watt. * Weight 0.59kg. * Straighten, smooth and shine as you dry. * 9 tourmaline-ceramic coated plates grip and straighten the hair for smooth frizz-free finish. * 4 grip settings for different hair types. * Intelligent system automatically sets dryer to straightening mode when straightening attachment is fitted. * Ionic technology for a frizz free shine. * Heat balancing ceramic technology. * Ultra slim 8mm nozzle. * 4 heat, speed settings including cool shot.
All sounds rather amazing but i think the instructions fall short somewhat!!! I have long hair so i tended to spend 30 mins drying then another 30 mins straightening with ceramic tongs. So hubby thought this would save time as i do...

Beliss Can you throw your straighteners away?
Advantages: Made my very thick hair look thinner and straightened it
Disadvantages: Still need to use straighteners
...I have very dry, thick frizzy hair which goes into 50's style waves as it gets longer makes me look about 60. I have had to keep my hair cropped and sleep on it to flatten it before the invention of straighteners it grows out rather than down. I have now managed to get it down to my shoulders and couldn't wait therefore to try this hairdryer bought it in Boots last year for £29.99 but have seen offers since for £19.99.
You have four settings 1 for my hair isn't too bad just needs a few kinks straightened upto 4 for I can't leave the house without putting straighteners through my hair.
I set it to 4 and I was able to work it quite easily with one hand. The combs do not catch in the hair (I thought they might) and I found it dried my hair much faster than a normal hairdryer. The end result was actually quite good. The hair was...
