Babyliss pro 200 ceramic straightener

Advantages: Inexpensive
Disadvantages: Sometimes damage hair, no variable heat settings, take a while to heat up

...you have thick hair, I wouldn't reccomend them. *It takes at least three strokes to completely straighten my (thin) hair. The good points about these straighteners: *I like the cool tips. ...when i purchased babyliss, they were my first hair straightners, but this was almost 4years ago now. Since this i have attempted many straightners till finally settling upon my futura and ghd's branded straightners. I would not reccomend these straightners to any prospective buyer with thick hair as they do not have the strength with which to tackle frizz or curls. On the other hand the straightners would not necessarily be effective for the thin hair either as whilst the straightners have the strength, they may not be good for your hair. The metal plates tend to pull at your hair as they straighten, and the steam attractions are not as effective as they seem. At last ive found some crimpers that work!

Advantages: Heats up really fast with 3 different heat settings
Disadvantages: Cant get really close to scalp

...For the past good few years ive been taking hours to crimp my hair using the old babyliss crimpers which werent ceramic, thinking there was nothing better out there..until i stumbled across some ceramic ones ....in the argos book!!!! FAB!!! These are brilliant! Heat up in a matter of seconds, with three different heat settings for different hair its brilliant. It looks good with a matt black finish too. The cord is really long so no difficulty there either. The crimp stays in all day even without the help of hairspray or other products, even the next day after sleeping on my hair, its all still in, this is really strange for me as hairstyles usually fall out. This is probably due to the fact i use the highest heat setting and im probably wrecking my hair but hey! it looks good! Haha! The only thing i was slightly dissapointed...

BaByliss You Curl- You're worth it!!!

Advantages: gorgeous curls, smooth shiny and straight hair as well!!

...I would like to review BaByliss You Curl Styler from my point of view (read: point of view of person who has got big problems with making any hairdo, with very heavy looking hair). I'm not going to tell you all technical stuff about it, I'll just simply explain if?and how it works. Since I remember my hair has always looked a bit messy and trust me, I take a lot care of my hair, I spend quiet lot of money each month on all kinds of conditioners, anti frizz serums etc. but that seems not to be enough. I spend also quite lot of time trying to make any hairstyle. I tried all kind of hair stylers, many hair straighteners- few of them just didn't work on my hair at all as they were too thick. I could literally spend hours on making my hair, sometimes it was worth the effort?for something like an hour and then my hair went all messy again...

Babyliss for (Slightly) More Elegant Hair

...and came with the usual information and warnings (are there still people who might think it was a good idea to dry their hair while still in the shower?) and an attachment for focusing air direction. Mine was not a part of the accessories set which is currently available on Amazon. The dryer is a classy bronze colour with black cord and metal detailing exactly as shown in the photo. The cord is about 3 metres long; I can't currently find the exact length on the internet and am not about to get out a measuring tape. I've always found the length satisfactory! Three years ago I believe it cost me just over £20 as I would not have paid anymore and was purchased at Boots. Am I Turned On?

...When my last straighteners eventually died from overuse I had two options--turn into a hermit and never leave the house again due to permanent bad hair days or fork out some money and buy a new pair. Needless to say I thought the second was a more practical option so I started searching around for a suitable replacement. ...The Babyliss BEliss 2x hairdryer is the next generation of the Babyliss hairdryers that have straightening 'teeth' as an attatchment in order to straighten you hair while it dries. To be clear 'straight' is a relative term. I have had conversations with girls with naturally poker straight hair who were complaining that they wanted to straighten it more. Sat next to them with a head of frizz I couldnt help but find this annoying. And to put into context I do indeed have hair that is neither naturally straight or curly, but somewhere annoyingly inbetween. Its also quite thick and I have slight layers cut in and a shaping around my face to 'take the weight out of it' as the hairdresser puts it. I do believe this technical jargon is what i pay for rather than the cut, but hey... These shorter bits often curl or frizz after i dry my hair...
