BaByliss You Curl- You're worth it!!!
Review of BaByliss You Curl by
katrinakubisa
Advantages: gorgeous curls, smooth shiny and straight hair as well!!
Disadvantages: cooling thongs may damage hair a bit
...I would like to review BaByliss You Curl Styler from my point of view (read: point of view of person who has got big problems with making any hairdo, with very heavy looking hair). I'm not going to tell you all technical stuff about it, I'll just simply explain if…and how it works. Since I remember my hair has always looked a bit messy and trust me, I take a lot care of my hair, I spend quiet lot of money each month on all kinds of conditioners, anti frizz serums etc. but that seems not to be enough. I spend also quite lot of time trying to make any hairstyle. I tried all kind of hair stylers, many hair straighteners- few of them just didn't work on my hair at all as they were too thick. I could literally spend hours on making my hair, sometimes it was worth the effort…for something like an hour and then my hair went all messy again...

Babyliss You Curls - Best Curling Appliance so far
Review of BaByliss You Curl by
starbabe30586
Advantages: Fast Heat up, step by step instructions, easy to use
Disadvantages: need to get the hang of it first
...I bought the Babyliss You Curl as a friend recommended them..
I have medium length hair thats quite thick, i seperated all my hair and curled sections as instructed in the booklet that came with the tongs. You have to curl your hair in a certain way for it to work otherwise it just straightens but once you get used to it, it becomes a lot quicker and easier to do. I sprayed each section with hairspray before and after i used the tongs to help the curls stay in.
However after an hour of curling my hair the first section underneath had dropped out maybe i needed more hairspray so i re did the sections underneath.
They are good value for money as i paid £39 and they create modern curls. They are fairly easy to use with 3 different heat settings and an on and off button once you get the hang of it....

Stylish curls, minimum effort!
Review of BaByliss You Curl by
law3
Advantages: Straightens and curls with minimum effort, long cord, auto shut-off
Disadvantages: Takes a while to get used to, doesn't have a stand
...After seeing myself in a friend's wedding photos and staring disbelievingly at my horrible hair, I decided it was finally time to give in and buy myself a straightener and a curling iron.
A couple of hours later, I sat down with a cup of coffee and the good old Argos catalogue to try and find myself the best possible styling tools for the lowest possible cost.
I tend to think that you get what you pay for, and so I was willing to spend a decent amount on a straightener - ditto a curling iron. However, when I found the BaByliss You Curl I thought I'd struck gold! It straightens and it curls, depending on how you use it. I have never had much success in getting my hair to hold a curl, so I thought that even if it didn't live up to the promise of curls I would at least have a good straightener.

Babyliss Press & Curl
Review of Babyliss 2633 Volume CURL Press by
kiss_me2070
Advantages: Natural curls
Disadvantages: Hard to get used to
...I have always wanted to achieve natural looking curls in my hair and a friend recommended this product, which was actually bought for me as a christmas present, but is priced roughly at around £25.00.
They come in a cardboard box with guarantee and instructions on how to create your look. They dont have different temperature settings. They have a press button which enables you to lock the curl in place for extra hold.
I have tried using this item a number of times but still find it hard to get used to. There's a catch at the bottom of the barrel which you slip your hair under to hold it in place them you simply wrap your hair around the barrel and press the button, hold for a few secs then release and unwind your hair.
My hair didn't like staying under the catch so it didn't wrap very well round the barrel and I got a bit...

Curl 'n go!
Review of Babyliss 2330U by
Bouncebackability
Advantages: Curls stay in place all day
Disadvantages: The amount of time it takes to curl your hair.
...I bought these tongs over a year ago now, after deciding I was fed up with my straight hair all the time. And despite using them only a few times due to the length of time it takes, I've found them very effective, although generally I keep my hair straight most of the time.
History of Babyliss:
Babyliss was established in 1960 in Paris. Their aim was to create hair drying and styling appliances for the hairdressing world. However by the mid 60's, after much sucess they began exporting products to the UK, and have since become a well known leading brand worldwide.
Features:
*2 year guarantee
*Moving spiral presses the hair to give more curl definition
*High heat, and heats up in around 5 minutes
*Automatic temperature control, no need to change the temparature as there's only one setting.
How easy are they to use?:
I clip...

Hair wont hold a curl? Try these Baby(lis)s ;)
Review of Babyliss 2330U by
dreamer06
Advantages: curls that actually stay! Professional results available to the impatient and unprofessional!
Disadvantages: None, except how long it takes if your hair is long and thick like mine..
...These tongs are absolutely amazing! I have poker straight below shoulder length thick hair. Usually impossible to curl. I have literally spent three hours tonging my hair before only to have it fall straight again within an hour. These are different.
The don't look like much at first, I got them for Christmas and although I looked forward to trying them, I wasnt wholly optimistic, however that soon changed!
You wrap the hair around the barrels, then theres a button you press and the hair is compressed so that the curls stay put. You hold the press for ten seconds, let go and whoosh..curly hair!
If your hair is like mine, really thick and very straight, you take a thin length of hair, coat it in hair spray (high quality hair spray) then twist the hair very tightly before wrapping it round the tongs. The curls really stay...

Babyliss for Babylissious Hair
Review of Babyliss 2330U by
xSuzx
Advantages: Curls that are garenteed to last all day
Disadvantages: grip is a little small
...With summer well on it's way I thought that it would be nice to get that tossled curl look, but unfortunatly I have quite fine flyaway hair so after about an hour or so after doing my hair it looks like a shaggy limp mess.
Then I spotted these great Babyliss Curl and Press spiral tongs in my catologue priced at £28.99, and the ad promised to give long lasting defined curls.
After ordering and waiting patiently for 3 days the tongs finally arrived, I whipped them straight out of the box, plugged them in and quickly read the instructions.
Instuctions:-
> Make sure hair is completely dry.
> Take a small section off hair approx 1cm x 1cm.
> Place end of hair in tong grip.
> Gently curl hair under making sure your hair stays between the sprirals.
> Press the button to compress hair between the sprirals for 10 to 15 seconds...

My Babyliss Baby
Review of Babyliss Straight and Shine Steam Straightener by
sophie2506
Advantages: It's a straightener, if you have curls you'll understand!
Disadvantages: It's so bad for my hair, but I need it!
...My Babyliss straight and shine steam straightener is my baby! It may have seen better days but it only shows how loved it is. As far as straighteners go, I think you would be far pushed to find better.
My model is actually the old version in blue and white but on having inspected the new black version, I can’t actually see a difference other than the colour, and some shops still sell the older version. The Babyliss straightener comes with two optional attachments. The first is a little water tank thing! I’m sure there’s a highly technical term for it but if there is, I don’t know what it is. This releases the steam through the top plate, and is intended to act in much the same way as a steam iron does on fabric; the steam should remove the toughest of kinks. I personally didn’t like the use of steam, as my hair felt more damaged...

Perfect Curls Everytime
Review of Babyliss 271CU by
angelic01
Advantages: Curls that last
Disadvantages: No different temperature settings
...These Babyliss curling tongs are my favourite pair of tongs. This is because they are right the size which means they don't give you afro curls but they don't give you waves either. For me they are my number 1 choice if you want curls that amke you look like you've spent a lot of time getting ready for example...parties or your prom.
They give you curls that last and don't frizz because of the cermic plates. They are mains operated which means you can use them anymore all you need is a plug socket.
As i got them as a present a few years ago, i don't know how much they cost but i know they are definitely worth however much they cost. these are prefect for people aiming for "barbie" hair as in hair that stays how you want it to.
The only downside i can thinkof is that there are not different temperature settings so they don't adjust...
