Babyliss pro 230 still great after years!

Advantages: Lasted forever, good price, straighten brilliantly
Disadvantages: No safety temperature gage, not good for curling

...I'm not sure if these are even still available for sale. However, i purchased my pair of these straighteners 3 years ago and they are still going strong, they heat up super fast, and have an adjustable temperature gage which i especially like to use if i'm using them to curl my hair. If you are looking for a straightener to act as your curler i wouldn't necessarily suggest these; although they are great straighteners they have a wide ceramic plate which really only gets a loose fat curl, which is fine just for a soft day look but i tend to use hot rollers if i want a proper curl. They are fabric along the top of the ceramics which means you can hold them for longer without burning your hands off! They also have a long cable so you can stretch them quite far. The one criticism i would say is that the temperature gage doesn't switch it...

Advantages: Straight hair , gives glossy and shiny hair
Disadvantages: it can be heavt to handle , container has to be filled with water for steam function to work

...This product is great , it gives salon straightness right in the comfort of your home. I used this straightener and I am really impressed by the results and also the unique features on the straightener. It has an ionic system that helps to reduce breakage and straighten the hair effectively . It also has the steam feature where the steam is used in conjunction with the hot plates to ensure glossy results . When I used the the steam feature , I found that 2- 3 days later my hair was still straight and really glossy as well, even my work colleagues noticed . The only issue with this straightener is that it is a bit heavy to handle and it can be a pain if you use the steam feature as you have to keep refilling the water container inorder to utilise the steam . Babyliss Pro 230 Straightener - fantastic pair of straighteners!

Advantages: Easy to use, heat up quickly, heat mat, three heat settings
Disadvantages: Can't think of any really!

...I had had my old Remington straighteners for a couple of years, so the other day I decided it was time for new ones. I bought these Babyliss Pro 230 Straighteners for £36.39 (half price in Argos). The straighteners come with a little bag with a divider in the middle to keep the cord and plug away from the hot straighteners when you pack them away. It also comes with a heat mat which is ideal for resting your straighteners on in case you damage something. The four hair dividing clips are handy too! The straighteners are so easy to use. There are three heat settings, I use the hottest as my hair is quite thick. The straighteners heat up really quickly, approx 30 seconds. My hair is quite short in areas and I find it easy to use on shorter hair as well as the longer bits. I wish I had invested in a new pair of straighteners...

...I owned pair of non-ceramic Babyliss straighteners about 5 years ago and wasn't very impressed. However, as these were ceramic and had a decent max temperature, I thought I'd give it ago. I also didn't want to pay the price of a GHD pair. The straighteners were on special for £40 (at Superdrug). I also had a 10% discount voucher from a previous purchase at the shop, so it seemed like a good deal. The straighteners came with a heatproof travel bag and hair grips. The straighteners are very quick to heat up (about 30 seconds). The plates are also a good size - long so you can get round your head quickly, but not too wide. Babyliss Pro Spirall - Effective & excellent!!

Babyliss 230 - GHD quality for half the price!

...I received these straighteners as a birthday gift. I had orginally wanted some GHD straighteners but after doing my research on the internet I found out that these straighteners were apparently just as good and half the price. The hair straighteners come in a very funky case which has it's own heat resistant pad. The case is very handy and protects them if you take them on holiday or somewhere. The heat resistant pad is a extremely useful, with my old straighteners I used to place them on my desk whilst waiting for them to warm up which made a big mark on the top so this time I can just pop them onto the mat and not worry about burning something. ...I bought these straighteners about a year ago from superdrug as a fairly inexpensive replacement for my old ones (unfortunately I stepped on them and they snapped). These straighteners are fairly good for their intended use, however there are some annoying bad points I'd like to share. *They take a while to heat up, which, if I'm in a rush is a problem. When I bought them, I was used to a ten second heat up. *If I'm not careful with the straighteners and press down on the ends of my hair, the straightener pulls on them and breaks them.
