Advantages: Helps fight frizz, easy to use, drys quickly

...I've owned my Babyliss hairdryer for a couple of years now, and the hairdryer I owned previously was also Babyliss, so I am really pleased with this brand of hairdryer asI have found them to not only work effectively, but last a long time. My hair is very thick and also long (to the middle of my back), so it takes a long time to dry it (usually when I visit a salon, two hairdressers dry it, it takes that long). I have found that this hairdryer drys it alot quicker than many I have tried. I thnk this is partly to do with the concentrator nozzle at the end (which is also great for styling!) as this concentrates the heat in one area at a time. Babyliss Pro Spirall - Effective & excellent!!

Advantages: Heats up quickly, looks nice, effective, many heat settings
Disadvantages: Fiddly at first as the spiral guides are close together.

Babyliss Pro 230 Straightener - fantastic pair of straighteners!

Advantages: Easy to use, heat up quickly, heat mat, three heat settings
Disadvantages: Can't think of any really!

...I had had my old Remington straighteners for a couple of years, so the other day I decided it was time for new ones. I bought these Babyliss Pro 230 Straighteners for £36.39 (half price in Argos). The straighteners come with a little bag with a divider in the middle to keep the cord and plug away from the hot straighteners when you pack them away. It also comes with a heat mat which is ideal for resting your straighteners on in case you damage something. The four hair dividing clips are handy too! The straighteners are so easy to use. There are three heat settings, I use the hottest as my hair is quite thick. The straighteners heat up really quickly, approx 30 seconds. My hair is quite short in areas and I find it easy to use on shorter hair as well as the longer bits. I wish I had invested in a new pair of straighteners...

...I owned pair of non-ceramic Babyliss straighteners about 5 years ago and wasn't very impressed. However, as these were ceramic and had a decent max temperature, I thought I'd give it ago. I also didn't want to pay the price of a GHD pair. The straighteners were on special for £40 (at Superdrug). I also had a 10% discount voucher from a previous purchase at the shop, so it seemed like a good deal. The straighteners came with a heatproof travel bag and hair grips. The straighteners are very quick to heat up (about 30 seconds). The plates are also a good size - long so you can get round your head quickly, but not too wide. Pro Elegance - Pretty but not the best

Advantages: Does straighten hair pretty well
Disadvantages: Cheap feel, heat functions dodgy, quite pricey for what you get!!

...I was bought these straighteners after my last pair literally blew up!! I have naturally curly hair so life without straighteners is just unimaginable!! They look very stylish and the colour makes them look just like the description Pro Elegance, but they feel very plastic like when you pick them up and they are very light (one feature that is useful when you have to spend an hour with your hands above your head so to speak). They come complete with a heat protective mat, case and hair clips again all in the bronze colour, these are useful tools. I was quite intrigued by them in the salons I frequented but having seen the price tags of GHD hair straighteners which I was repeatedly told were THE brand to buy, I was somewhat put off. After all, having never needed hair straighteners before could I justify a £100+ price tag for something I may never or infrequently use?
