Advantages: Straight hair , gives glossy and shiny hair
Disadvantages: it can be heavt to handle , container has to be filled with water for steam function to work

...This product is great , it gives salon straightness right in the comfort of your home. I used this straightener and I am really impressed by the results and also the unique features on the straightener. It has an ionic system that helps to reduce breakage and straighten the hair effectively . It also has the steam feature where the steam is used in conjunction with the hot plates to ensure glossy results . When I used the the steam feature , I found that 2- 3 days later my hair was still straight and really glossy as well, even my work colleagues noticed . The only issue with this straightener is that it is a bit heavy to handle and it can be a pain if you use the steam feature as you have to keep refilling the water container inorder to utilise the steam . Babyliss get it right

Advantages: Helps fight frizz, easy to use, drys quickly
Disadvantages: won't rid your hair of frizziness

...the advertised 'Pro Ionic Conditioning'. This works by releasing 'dual stream' of conditioning ions from the vents in the hairdryer. This conditions your hair, and fights frizz. This is also a setting that you can turn on or off. I have found that this does work, but the effects are not incredibly visible for me, only slight. If you have really frizzy hair, I don't think that this would really be a solution for you - I still need to use de-frizz products but I think it does make it a bit more manageable. The hairdryer itself, is pretty lightweight (and also looks smart too). This makes it easy to maneouvre around, and you can easily use it at all angles....

Babyliss Pro Spirall - Effective & excellent!!

Advantages: Heats up quickly, looks nice, effective, many heat settings
Disadvantages: Fiddly at first as the spiral guides are close together.

Pro Elegance - Pretty but not the best

...I was bought these straighteners after my last pair literally blew up!! I have naturally curly hair so life without straighteners is just unimaginable!! They look very stylish and the colour makes them look just like the description Pro Elegance, but they feel very plastic like when you pick them up and they are very light (one feature that is useful when you have to spend an hour with your hands above your head so to speak). They come complete with a heat protective mat, case and hair clips again all in the bronze colour, these are useful tools. They have three different heat settings but the dots rubbed off after a few uses so I now have no idea which is which so I often end up burning my hair as I accidently put it on the wrong setting, mmm whats that smell!!!! Babyliss Pro 230 Straightener - fantastic pair of straighteners!

Advantages: Easy to use, heat up quickly, heat mat, three heat settings
Disadvantages: Can't think of any really!

...I had had my old Remington straighteners for a couple of years, so the other day I decided it was time for new ones. I bought these Babyliss Pro 230 Straighteners for £36.39 (half price in Argos). The straighteners come with a little bag with a divider in the middle to keep the cord and plug away from the hot straighteners when you pack them away. It also comes with a heat mat which is ideal for resting your straighteners on in case you damage something. The four hair dividing clips are handy too! The straighteners are so easy to use. There are three heat settings, I use the hottest as my hair is quite thick. The straighteners heat up really quickly, approx 30 seconds. My hair is quite short in areas and I find it easy to use on shorter hair as well as the longer bits. I wish I had invested in a new pair of straighteners...

...I owned pair of non-ceramic Babyliss straighteners about 5 years ago and wasn't very impressed. However, as these were ceramic and had a decent max temperature, I thought I'd give it ago. I also didn't want to pay the price of a GHD pair. The straighteners were on special for £40 (at Superdrug). I also had a 10% discount voucher from a previous purchase at the shop, so it seemed like a good deal. The straighteners came with a heatproof travel bag and hair grips. The straighteners are very quick to heat up (about 30 seconds). The plates are also a good size - long so you can get round your head quickly, but not too wide.
