Babyliss Pro 230 Straightener - fantastic pair of straighteners!

Advantages: Easy to use, heat up quickly, heat mat, three heat settings
Disadvantages: Can't think of any really!

...I had had my old Remington straighteners for a couple of years, so the other day I decided it was time for new ones. I bought these Babyliss Pro 230 Straighteners for £36.39 (half price in Argos). The straighteners come with a little bag with a divider in the middle to keep the cord and plug away from the hot straighteners when you pack them away. It also comes with a heat mat which is ideal for resting your straighteners on in case you damage something. The four hair dividing clips are handy too! The straighteners are so easy to use. There are three heat settings, I use the hottest as my hair is quite thick. The straighteners heat up really quickly, approx 30 seconds. My hair is quite short in areas and I find it easy to use on shorter hair as well as the longer bits. I wish I had invested in a new pair of straighteners...

Babyliss Pro Spirall - Effective & excellent!!

Advantages: Heats up quickly, looks nice, effective, many heat settings
Disadvantages: Fiddly at first as the spiral guides are close together.

It took me quite a while to decide which hair curler to get, but I eventually opted for the Babyliss Adee&Paul Pro Spirall 2291AU. I purchased the curler from eBay for just less that £9; however, you can buy it from amazon.co.uk for about £26.43 so I was quite pleased that I had already saved quite a lot. ...I owned pair of non-ceramic Babyliss straighteners about 5 years ago and wasn't very impressed. However, as these were ceramic and had a decent max temperature, I thought I'd give it ago. I also didn't want to pay the price of a GHD pair. The straighteners were on special for £40 (at Superdrug). I also had a 10% discount voucher from a previous purchase at the shop, so it seemed like a good deal. The straighteners came with a heatproof travel bag and hair grips. The straighteners are very quick to heat up (about 30 seconds). The plates are also a good size - long so you can get round your head quickly, but not too wide. Pro Elegance - Pretty but not the best

Advantages: Does straighten hair pretty well
Disadvantages: Cheap feel, heat functions dodgy, quite pricey for what you get!!

...I was bought these straighteners after my last pair literally blew up!! I have naturally curly hair so life without straighteners is just unimaginable!! They look very stylish and the colour makes them look just like the description Pro Elegance, but they feel very plastic like when you pick them up and they are very light (one feature that is useful when you have to spend an hour with your hands above your head so to speak). They come complete with a heat protective mat, case and hair clips again all in the bronze colour, these are useful tools. ...Okay I'd just like to say I don't actually own this product but I'm going to soon. This is not a review as such but rather information about Babyliss 230 Straighteners and the cordless variety. I asked Babyliss some questions by email as I was unsure of the differences between the 2 models and some other general questions about both. The models are: - BaByliss 2085U Pro 230°C Straighteners (£35 amazon) (also available in pink) - BaByliss 2099U Total Freedom 230 Cordless Straightener (£30 amazon) (clip-on cord included also) The cord (3m) on both is a swivel cord, I think some straighteners had a problem with no-swivel cords breaking, and also I'm sure they are easier to use. I thought I would share this info to save others from bothering/bothering Babyliss - they were very nice in their answers, and there were a lot of questions...

Advantages: Salon heat. Long cord. Inexpensive.
