...While awaiting inspiration for a new review, I remembered that this one was overdue for an update. Although I rewrote it a year or so ago for Dooyoo, to include selected items from handbag reviews posted over there, I never got round to revising the Ciao version. So here it is. All the articles mentioned appeared in reviews by women on one site or the other. * What have I in my handbag? I mustn't tell you lies; In truth the only bags I own Are those beneath my eyes. Bags of jiffy bag envelopes

...I received a DVD in a jiffy bag recently opened the bag carefully and put the bag ready to reuse with about 20 other old jiffy bags I have ready for recycling. Actually I am not sure that all of them are genuine jiffy bags but they are the same sort of thing. Jiffy bags made by Jiffy have been available for several years now I think they go back to the 1950?s. Jiffy bags are handy padded envelope bags that can be bought in a variety of sizes some as small as to 164 x 285mm, then several sizes upwards to 247 x 387mm, probably even larger ones available. The original bag is a golden brown heavy duty paper. The padded filling can be as simple as shredded paper. Vaccum Storage Bags

Advantages: Space Saving Ideas for Home and Abroad

...I love this idea, whoever thought this up is a genius. A lot of families have storage problems my main pain in the backside is lack of room for excess bedding that i keep spare for guests and what not, So this is magnificent, how the air can be sucked out of the bag with any pipe vacuum cleaner and reduce the size of package to less than a quarter of the size. Brilliant for duvets and pillows i might add and to top it all off it keeps all those bugs away and when you do unpack them they smell as good as the day you washed them and put the items in there. Excellent I would rate these to anybody you can even use them for going abroad and storing your much loved items and reducing space which we all know must happen when traveling on a plane think of the goodies you can bring back !! ...The grobag is a fantastic invention which stops the constant getting up and down in the night to put the blankets back over your baby when they manage to kick them off in the night. Grobags are baby sleeping bags which fasten at the shoulders and are worn almost like a dress/dungarees. They come in different thickness- Tog rating- like a quilt. So you are able to decide which tog rating is needed, for example, in the summer when it's warm you will only need a 1tog or if it's colder you may need a 3tog. They come in different patterns and designs so you may chose whether you want a girlie pink one or a boy blue one etc. The main purpose of these grobags is to stop the baby from getting cold during the night as they may do with a blanket. Changing bag for Mummies AND Daddies! (Mutsy Nursery Bag)

...Having decided the purchase of a Mutsy branded pushchair, the obvious choice of baby changing bag was the co-ordinating Mutsy bag. I did feel however that the Mutsy bag looked quite masculine & resembled a school satchel rather than a change bag. After browsing around at other change bags, I came upon the notion that most change bags look quite feminine & that it may be a wiser decision after all to go for the Mutsy bag...this way hubby would have no grounds for refusal of carrying it based on the opinion of it looking 'too girly'. ...Sleeping bags for babies are perhaps my favourite of the 'baby gadgets' I don't know what I'd do without ours so whoever invented them I am forever grateful! When babies are sleeping they are just like us adults, they toss and turn. but unlike us, they can't reach for their covers when they manage to throw them off or they can't get themselves back out from underneath them if they wiggle down under them. In the night we were forever getting up to put the blankets back around baby Hope or we would be forever checking that she hadn't managed to get underneath them.
