Advantages: Comfort, Durability, Leaves your bits hidden from show, Cycling fit Disadvantages: Weak belt, Baggy-ish so can catch on saddle
...worn through. There can be a slight issue (given they are slightly baggy) if you happen to catch the inside seam on your saddle. I've done this, and succeeded in tearing a hole which I'm now going to have to sort. But that's less to do with the build quality, and more to do with me dozily not sitting back in the saddle properly when starting off in traffic (yes, I did flash my underwear to all and sundry on the ride home...).
The other slight minor point is the belt. It's a simple fabric affair, with a fairly minimal clasp. This is obviously to keep things light and unobtrusive - there's nothing to dig into your belly as you ride along, but from time to time it doesn't really stay tight that well.
You can wear these without cycling shorts (but please, with underwear, there's no need for commando). But they also come supplied...
Advantages: Great long lasting smell, nice bottle Disadvantages: A little more expensive than others on the market
...I was bought this aftershave for Christmas this year by my girlfriend. I liked it so much; I thought I would share my opinion of it with Ciao.
Packaging
Jean Paul Gaultier 'Le Male' comes in a silver tin with the 'Jean Paul Gaultier' label embossed on the front. You can pull the bottom of the tin off, and the bottle of aftershave sits in a stand on the base, which is attached to the base of the tin. Inside the top section of the tin is a white plastic section which holds the top of the bottle square inside the tin, once the bottle is back inside which stops it from rattling around and possibly being smashed inside.
The bottle itself is typical of Jean Paul Gaultier aftershave and comes in their famous body shaped bottle. This particular bottle is in the theme of a sailor. The bottle is an off navy blue with white stripes...
Advantages: Not a bad scent, cheap to buy. Disadvantages: Quite strong, heavy, not my kind of scent.
...I have had this fragrance for quite a while but it is rarely used as I have quite a few others which are more liked than this one.
I would rate the product 3 out of 5 stars as it is not an awful product but definitely not my favourite.
The product is 75ml which is in a glass bottle with a red plastic lid adorned with the Versace lion style logo. There is also 4 of the logos in the actual glass neck of the glass bottle and a sticker advising that the product is Versace Red Jeans Woman.
The bottle is supplied within a red tin which I have since lost or thrown away.
The smell does not last more than a couple of hours and has no real distinct notes to be honest.
I find it to be a little too heavy and strong for my liking, but as an evening scent this isn't too bad on the scheme of things.
Mine was purchased for about £12...
Advantages: Smells Nice, Lasts A Long Time and Good Price Disadvantages: None
...I wear many perfumes, but Versace Red Jeans is the one that I'm 'known' for wearing. I have Burberrys, Far Away, Wink, Charlie Red and Glow.
I wear perfume everyday; it's like a habit to put it on when I'm dressed in the morning.
When I was at school, I'd wear a different one everyday, and because you wear your jumper for 5 days, it used to smell of loads of different perfumes by the end of the week. If I put on Far Away, my friends would say, 'that's not your smell' and if I put on Red Jeans, they'd all say, 'I can smell Stacey!'
Anyways, after telling you that, I'll get on with the review.
VERSACE:
We have heard of Gianni Versace. Fashion Designer to the stars, he first started designing clothes in 1972. He first designed clothes for the theatre, where he was very much respected. In 1982 he made a great line...
Advantages: Refreshing & an array of exotic smells/Excellent Packaging/ Disadvantages: Pretty expensive/Bottle tends to finish quick
...First came the designer clothes, then came the designer sunglasses and now it?s all about the fragrances. Versace`s creative genius is also expressed through his unique scented and colourful fragrances ~ Blue Jeans & Red Jeans was first introduced in 1994 it was the first of many to trigger off the Versace ?Jeans? series, a series of fragrances that were made to compliment his designer jeans label.
Since the launch of Blue Jeans back in 1994, Versace have introduced the following fragrances:
??Red Jeans?? Launched in 1994
??Green Jeans?? Launched in 1996
??Yellow Jeans?? Launched in 1996

Advantages: Thought-provoking and brimming with intellectualism Disadvantages: Very slow and relatively annoying to read
...The first thing to note about this book is that it is very heavily philosophical in parts, as you may well expect from the 'grand-daddy' of existentialism. The entire novel is written as a series of diary entries, the author being a somewhat down-and-out historian by the name of Antoine Roquentin. The diary entries, on the whole, are relatively event-free, although Antoine does delve into self-righteous rants and rueful monologues often.
The author Jean-Paul Sartre is now renowned for his intellectualism and literary style (being offered the Nobel Prize for literature in 1964), and it should be pointed out that 'Nausea' was his first published novel. Born in Paris 1905 Sartre was left fatherless in September 1906 and was raised by his mother Anne-Marie and her father. His leanings towards philosophy were realised during his...

...20th Century.
2.: Industrial Revolution (part 1) - See above
3.: Industrial Revolution (part 2) - See above
4.: Industrial Revolution (part 3) - See above.
5.: London Kid. A fairly basic synth drum and pads backing with Hank Marvin(!) or Honk as Jean-Michel Jarre pronounces it, playing a typical Shadows type number over the top. Hit the next track button. Amazingly, this was a single.
6.: Revolution. A superb high energy track infused with eastern, & Turkish/North African type sounds and rythyms. It starts with a mournful wailing wind instrument before the main beats starts and a vocoder processed voice says 'Revolution'. One of the earlier Jarre tracks with lyrics. I wouldn't say the lyrics make much sense though - 'Change/No Change, Freedom/No Freedom'. More samples of ethnic sounds and wailing vocals make this a high...
Advantages: Beautiful landscapes, great acting, compelling story Disadvantages: You have to see the next film to complete the story!
...Jean De Florette and Manon Des Sources, both from 1986, are two of the best-loved and most celebrated films in French cinema. They're adapted from the "L'Eau De Collines" books written by Marcel Pagnol, and really it's best to see them as two parts of the same story, rather than as the original film and its sequel. Jean De Florette won a whole heap of Bafta nominations in that year, and strangely it won Best Film overall yet missed out on Best Foreign Film! However it wasn't even nominated for an Oscar, which is a shame.
It tells the tragic story of two greedy farmers in the French countryside. César Soubeyran (played by Yves Montard) and his nephew, Ugolin (Daniel Auteuil) want to grow carnations in their soil, and thus make a comfortable living. However, they don't have enough water, so they offer to buy the land of a neighbour...
Advantages: 5.1 surround sound, Jarre at his absolute best. Disadvantages: None, even if you own the original tracks.
...This is a review of the truly superb CD and DVD of Jean Michel Jarres 'Aero' which will be in split into 2 parts on this same page... i will start with the CD, then the DVD.
Firstly i would like to offer a little background to the great man and his featured recordings as i find this relevant in order to help anyone who is unfamiliar with JMJ appreciate and understand this specific recording a little better.
Jean Michel Jarre (JMJ) was born on the 24th August 1948 in Lyon, France.
His father (Maurice Jarre) was a very talented composer himself who helped write music themes for 'Lawrence of Arabia' and 'Dr Zhivago' to name but two.
JMJ is in the Guiness book of records several times but perhaps most notably for his live Paris show where he performed to close to 2 million people at the Arche de la Défense, he is clearly no...
Advantages: Unususal botle, lovely fragrance Disadvantages: A bit pricey
...When i was younger i worked for Boots the chemist as a team leader. One of the perks we had was every now and then we would be given a perfume tester as a reward or at christmas as a thankyou. I was lucky , i had a lot of the new ones and my family were constantly stealing them!
Then in 1993 this one came in and i was hooked. This was around the time that designers were staring to realize the finacial potential of the perfume market and were targeting a younger clientel. CK., Tommy Hilfigure, DKNY and others. These ones were very popular but i found them all more or less the same, Very sweet and sickly.
But the Jean-Paul one was so different and a lot more subtle. It is a very sexy and seductive fragrance, and the other half loves it on me too!! It has now become my signiture perfume and hasn't dated with age.
