Advantages: Tastes great, makes a really refreshing tipple

...Most of us little a nice tipple at home now and again to relax us, and my favourite has to be a nice glass of Baileys with ice. Mmmmn lovely! Baileys is the original Irish Cream alcoholic drink. Baileys is made from fresh Irish cream, the finest spirits and Irish whiskey. These three ingredients blended together make a really sweet and tasty drink, with the spirits and whiskey giving it a real kick. The taste of the alcohol is really evident, but doesn't over-power the drink. Some spirits have a tendancy to leave a burning sensation at the back of the throat, such is its strength, but with this drink you don't get that sensation, probably because the cream 'cools' the spirits down. ...Anyone who knows me will wonder why I am writing a review about anything to do with coffee, because I just don't drink the stuff, well maybe once a year if I happen to be somewhere where there isn't tea on offer. But Baileys were giving away a free sample of their new flavour, which just happened to be coffee, and being the sort of person who never turns down a freebie, I thought I'd give it a go. Nutritional Information I haven't got any nutritional information to give you because there's nothing on the bottle, but it's a cream liqueur so I doubt it's a slimming product!! The 15ml bottle is plenty big enough for a shot of the drink, which is about how much you get in a bar or pub. Introduction Bailey's is the popular Irish Cream liqueur, which contains Irish Whiskey and Cream. Over the last few years, Bailey's have started adding a little something extra to their liqueurs by adding a "hint of mint", a "hint of caramel", and now a "hint of coffee". ...Baileys Irish Cream Truffles: The other half went to Tescos on his way home from work the other day to get something for dinner and he brought back a couple of treats too. He got me a tiny little box containing two delicious Baileys Truffles! The box is very cute and it is very similarly branded to the bottles of Baileys. The two truffles were individually wrapped in gold foil. The truffles fill the box too so no disappointment there. As soon as you unwrap the foil you get the smell of Baileys. It is a lovely creamy smell and it definitely made my mouth water. The chocolate on the outside of the truffle is nice quality and very creamy and it tastes of baileys. When I drink at home, I usually have a glass of wine a couple of times a week, or sometimes, I treat myself to a little glass of Baileys.... so when I saw an advert for "Baileys with a hint of Coffee" I thought i'd give it a shot! Baileys & Ice - The surprisingly warming drink!

Advantages: Great taste, very smooth, great with ice all year round.
Disadvantages: A little expensive.

...Baileys Irish Cream is one of my favourite drinks! It's definitely always my choice on a festive night out but I do enjoy a little slosh of it all year round if I can afford it. The main ingredients in Baileys are Irish Cream & Irish Whiskey and I like neither of these things along but when combined they are just delicious. The taste is so smooth and creamy that you could just drink glass after glass and at 17% alcohol it'll have you sloshed before you know it! I would definitely recommend drinking this in moderation as too much can feel very heavy on your stomach and give you quite a queasy feeling (I'm talking about after half a bottle!). Once opened it apparently has a two year shelf life but I've never known a bottle in my possession to last more than two weeks! At around 150 calories per serving I would definitely enjoy this...

...I have been drinking Baileys Cream Liquer ever since it was first introduced back in 1974. Baileys is an Irish whiskey and cream based liquer which is made by Andrew Bailey from Dublin in Ireland. Other ingredients include chocolate, vanilla, caramel and sugar. According to the manufacturer no preservatives are used as the whisky is used to preserve the cream. An interesting fact is that more than 4 million litres of Irish cream a year is used in the production of Baileys, amounting to 4.3% of Ireland's total milk production! That's an awful lot of Baileys being made and drunk! Baileys can last up for 24 months but needs to be stored in a temperature of 5 to 35 degrees celsius.
