I've Got Soft Balls!
Review of Srixon Soft Feel Golf Balls by
the_mad_cabbie
Advantages: Extra distance with the driver. Excellent control and spin. Well priced high performance golf ball for the average golfer.
Disadvantages: Meaningless advertising.
...travel. The swing speed of your average everyday amateur golfer will vary within the range of 65 to 95 miles per hour at point of contact, whereas a professional player will achieve around 100 to 105mph. One of the games longest hitters and most successful golfers, Tiger Woods, has an absolutely astounding swing speed of 125mph!
~ ~ For anyone with a swing speed of around 95mph plus, then the Titleist Pro V is the golf ball to purchase. My problem is that I can no longer manage to generate this sort of club head speed, as the years (arthritis, rheumatism, and generally less flexible muscles and joints) have conspired against me. Up until about five years ago my average swing speed was around the 100 to 105mph mark, the same as a professional. However I recently had my swing speed analysed at a golf tournament I was visiting, and it is now...

Reebok Gym Ball
Review of Gymnastik Ball by
lynh17
Advantages: Great workout
Disadvantages: ????Not found any????
...like to have a back support when at the computer. I do often just lounge around on the ball though.
As I mentioned above, the ball is really good for stopping my back from aching too. I often get back ache from sitting in front of a computer all day at work, as my joints stiffen up. I find that when my back is hurting if I go home and bend backwards over the ball until my head touches the floor and just 'hand' there for a while it stops my back from aching.
Accessories:
The ball simply comes with the instruction manual and a stopper to keep the ball inflated, but I have seen plenty of books around with many more excercises in if you want anymore
Buying:
I got my ball from Argos, and it cost me £12.99, but I have just had a quick look and they are now only £9.99. I'm sure that most good sports shops will sell then too....

Jauntier Joints - No Drugs!
Review of Pedigree Joint Care by
suesie
Advantages: Seem to relieve pain and improve mobility
Disadvantages: Quite costly
...“Glucosamin and Green Lipped Mussel for dogs?” My friend Michael roared with laughter. “Whatever will they come up with next? Beef flavoured canine condoms?”
I should explain that, although Michael is extremely fond of animals and loves my mutt, Woodruffe (Woody for short), he has never had a pet of his own, that is if you discount his two virtual Nintendo puppies. He has, therefore, never experienced the angst a pet owner will suffer when their animals are injured or suffering obvious pain and discomfort. For some years Woody has, on occasions, suffered with stiffness and obvious joint pain and, when it strikes he struggles around with such sad eyes that it is quite upsetting. Therefore, when I came across this product, I was only to happy to give it a try.
JOINT CARE & JOINT CARE PLUS...

The up's and down's of a joint account
Review of Member Advice on the Pros and Cons of Joint Accounts by
coolchanty
Advantages: can help you to save
Disadvantages: can cause arguments
...Getting a joint account with your partner seems like a great idea at the start and you think about all the advantages it has and believe that the disadvantages are so slim that you apply and open the account and then it is too late.
Well I have just got engaged and me and my partner have been talking about getting a joint account for months and now I am wanting to do it even more. The only reason I have for this is it will help me to save up my money instead of squandering it each week like I do.
I have been spending all my pennies ever since I earnt at the age of 16 and I am now 24. I have been in permanent employment now for nearly 4 years and the least I have earnt is 10k per year but instead of investing any of my earnings I am in debt of 16k. This is due to me being foolish and not realising the implications borrowing brings...

Review of Joint Formula by
rosehall
Advantages: Helps your Pet's joints
Disadvantages: Getting your dog to eat them without wrapping them in food
...Health And Happiness For Your Pet
I was first told about these tablets by a friend who has an elderly German Shepherd Dog. I then had the brochure on “Healthy Direct” from a magazine. I decided to get them for my dog Moby who now has only 3 legs as he had his front right leg amputated just before Christmas last year and I thought this would give him added benefits as I felt he was aching a bit.
What It Is And Where Obtained.
These are tablets from “Healthy Directs” pet care range. They are called Joint Formula and contain Glucosamine, Chondroitin, and MSM & Vitamin C. These tablets are designed for both dogs and cats.
Packaging
Large white plastic tub approx 3 ½ round x 4 ½ inches high with a mainly bluey green label around the middle of the tub with an image of a dog and cat on.

Balls lots of balls
Review of Chad Valley 100 Play Balls by
mumsymary
Advantages: sensory play
Disadvantages: Get everywhere take a lot of tidying up .
...Balls lots of balls, I bought 4 of these bags of playbills each bag contains 100 balls.
I have for several; weeks thought I would like to buy a pool and some balls for my grandchildren to play in either at their hose or mine; daughter refused the offer so I bought some for my house. The balls I bought are CHAD VALLEY ones from Woolworths they come in zippered plastic PVC carry bag containing 100 of balls. I bought 4 bags each bag cost me £4.99 each normal price £6.99 they are on sale at the mo. I noticed in the early learning shop nearby 100 balls cost £10 no doubt they may be better quality but for my use I think the woollies balls will be fine... I also bought a Chad valley junior blow up pool to put them in.
Let me describe the balls.
These are PVC balls, each measuring 65mm diameter. It says they are brightly coloured well...

Fit Ball, Gym Ball, Swiss Ball. Take your pick.
Review of Pro-Fitness Gymnastic Ball by
Velvetee
Advantages: Can do a variety of exercises on it
Disadvantages: Bit of an eyesore in the house
...The gym ball, swiss ball, fitness ball, stability ball or whatever other name it comes under, seems to have taken the fitness world by storm. These balls can be purchased in most sports shops, department stores, tv shopping channels, chemists and even supermarkets. They cost between £5 and £15, come with their own pump and usually an instruction leaflet or DVD.
Fitness balls come in a variety of sizes, 42, 45, 55, 65 and 75cms and you should select your size depending on your height. For safety reasons, the rubber material has been designed to deflate slowly in the event of unexpected damage, so the ball should not burst suddenly, leaving the user in a heap on the floor.
Pumping up the ball, with the hand pump provided does take a little time and the novice user may be unsure of how firm it should be. I'm not sure how...

Balls Required...Castrating Husband Optional
Review of Juggling - General by
mattygroves
Advantages: Fun, easier to learn than you might think, might help you pull
Disadvantages: Takes time to learn, Husband might object (depending on what you use for balls)
...learning to juggle. It’s just one of those things. Ignore it.
DAMAGE – stop juggling your best crystal…or stop juggling in the china shop. Don’t juggle drunk (I’ve tried that – it’s impossible) Remember, you will drop the balls. Regularly and often. Mind other people around you.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Team Juggling
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Juggling, like some other activities I could name, can be either a sole or a joint activity. You can juggle in pairs – ether taking away or passing. Taking away isn’t too difficult – that’s with one set of balls between two people – one person grabs the top ball as the other person juggles – and does this with all three balls). Passing is harder – with six balls and more distance between the jugglers...

Have You Hard Or Soft Balls?
Review of Srixon Distance Golf Balls by
the_mad_cabbie
Advantages: Cheap to purchase. Virtually indestructable. Travels a long way.
Disadvantages: Hard to control, with little or no spin control.
...~ ~ Golf balls these days are as varied and different as the various different types of golfers who use them. They have come a long way since the early days of golf, when the golf ball was a simple leather pouch filled with goose or duck feathers!
~ ~ The appliance of science has led to today’s modern golf balls being miniature technological miracles, that are practically aerodynamically perfect. Nowadays you can buy a golf ball that will travel in the air for massive distances. You can buy balls with lots of spin, or practically no spin. Hard balls or soft balls, and all sorts of in-between balls.
Whatever your golf handicap, whether you be a budding Tiger Woods, or a total beginner, there is a golf ball out there in the market place that will be just about perfect for you.
~ ~ A relative newcomer to the golf ball market (at...
