Villa Mwangi, Diani Beach, Kenya
Advantages: Perfect get away
Disadvantages: Car rental advisable
...We went to Kenya in January 2005 for three weeks. My partner had worked out there previously but it was my first visit. Rather than go to an all inclusive resort where they tell you not to leave the compound, we decided to look for private accomodation to rent. They tell you not to leave the compound due to it being dangerous but its only as dangerous as any other strange place you might visit!! You do have to have your wits about you but other than that its fine.
Villa Mwangi is a private Holiday Cottage in Diani Beach. We found it on the internet and the pictures alone made you want to go!! It looked just like a private paradise. There are three similar Cottages on the compound, Villa Monique,Villa Pierre and Villa Mwangi - we stayed in Villa Mwangi.
The compound is secure and only a five minute walk from a fantastic...

my visit to kenya
Advantages: wood carvings cheap as chips
Disadvantages: very poor country
...i went to kenya in january 2007, it was brilliant..............
we went on a four day safari first and that was the best thing about the holiday. seeing the animals in their own habitat and getting up close was out of this world. if you ever get the chance to go i would highly recommend it. the safari was done by samok safaris and our drive Bukura was great at spotting lots of things and very knowledgable.
we stayed at the bamburi beach hotel at bambury, the waiters where the best.
the kenyan people are the friendlest people i have even met and even though the country is so poor they are the cleanest and proudest people i have even met, i say cleanest because they dont have a lot and you see people in our country who have a lot more than them and just dont look after themselfs or their kids.
if you do go to kenya take plenty...

Amazing Kenya
Advantages: Too many to list here - see review
Disadvantages: Been quite a lot of trouble there this year
...I was just looking back at my photos from my holiday in Kenya last year and felt compelled to write about the wonderful places we stayed and attractions we visited. It feels like being back at school having to write about holidays we went on!!
I went to Kenya last June with my Mum, her fiancee and my little sister (well not so little at 23!). Mum and my now step dad were getting married out there are took me and my sister out to celebrate with them. Having seen Africa on TV I wasn't really too keen on going, especially having to leave my husband behind for 2 weeks, however, I really wanted the chance to celebrate my Mum's wedding and who can turn down a free holiday!
We went with First Choice from Manchester airport. The flight is about 8 hours but it really doesn't feel that long if you take advantage of the movies and other in...

Bondi Beach
Advantages: read opp

...BONDI
Bondi beach is perhaps the most famous beach in Australia if not the World. The glowing white sand, the cool breeze from the sea and the glorious whether make it one of the greatest tourist?s attractions in Australia. Everyone will tell you if you are in Sydney you have to go to Bondi Beach, and they are right, Bondi is one of the best experiences a tourist can have.
History:
Bondi Beach is located in the Area of Bondi, which is in Vaucluse, Sydney with an area population of about 10,000. Bondi which is originally an Aboriginal word means ?water breaking over rocks or noise of water breaking over rocks?.
Between 1855 and 1877 the area was under private ownership and it was used to allow people to come and use the area as a leisure ground and picnic spot. Eventually the area of Bondi and the beach was taken over by...

On The Beach
Advantages: Sensual guitar solos's ; Good lyrical craftsmanship ; A good folk rock offering
Disadvantages: Some may find certain songs depressing ; Not as good as Young's pervious three iconic albums ; Not much in the way of linear notes
...one of the best live albums ever created. Then my curiosity took me into the weird and wonderful 'On the beach' lp.
Neil Percival Young was born on November 12th, 1945 in Toronto, Canada. His father was a great talent himself a sportswriter and novelist. He spent the majority of his youth in a small town called Omemee, which he later wrote his hit song 'helpless' on. Tragically when he was six years old he caught a bad case of polio which weakened the left side of his body badly, he still walks with a limp as a result. His parents divorced when he was 12 and he moved back to Winnipeg with his mother and attended the local high school. He played in a variety of local rock outfits before befriending fellow folk stars Joni Mitchell and Steven Stills.
He had fair success with a band called 'The buffalo Springfield' which projected...

Mombassa, Kenya. some hints and tips!!
Advantages: Great weather, great people, great scenery!
Disadvantages: sometimes VERY hot, people always trying to sell you things!
...Hi there everybody!! I recently travelled to Kenya and i just thought i'd share some of my experiences with you!
I travelled to Mombassa Kenya in July of this year and i have to say i think it was the best holiday i have been on! I have totally fallen in love with Africa and the African people! I am even thinking about saving up so i can travel there sometime in the future with my friends!
I stayed in a hotel called The Voyager Beach Resort, the hotel itself is situated on the beach and is approx. 10 mins from Mombassa Town. The views are breathtaking across the ocean and if you have a sea view room then this is what you are to wake up every morning for the next 2 weeks!! The food was fantastic and all the staff were very obliging! I am still in contact with many of them even now! As a 17 yr old i get very bored very easily, but...

Great experience Kenya- Mombasa and Nairobi!!!!
Advantages: Great People, Great Nightlife, Great Experience!
Disadvantages: Too many things to see, short time..!!
...)
The advantage of staying in Nairobi is that it?s easily accessible to nearly all the game parks. You can either choose to go to Mount Kenya (central Kenya) Maasai Mara.
For a much more adventurous journey, you can go to Amboseli National park. What I like about this park is that more than half the time you can be able to see the Elephants, and lions, from there you can go down to the Tsavo East National park and if you have time then cross to the Tsavo west and head to Malindi and back to Mombasa or simply go to Mombasa from Tsavo.
In Mombasa stayed in Bamburi Beach hotel. I?d definitely recommend this place to anyone. They have very good entertainment in the evenings and very friendly staff. It?s located on the North coast about 15 minutes drive to the city centre. Another hotel is the Travellers Beach hotel, Nyali Beach or the Whitesands hotel...

A Real Peach of a Beach!!
Advantages: A beautiful clean beach with something for everyone!
Disadvantages: It's so far away!!
...We usually like to try a new place every year for our summer holidays but this year we decided to return to the resort of Puerto Rico on the island of Gran Canaria after staying there last year. One of the main reasons for the return was the fact that we loved the apartments we had stayed in last year and the other main reason was for the wonderful Amadores Beach. Not being a family of beach lovers after visiting this beach once, we were totally hooked and just couldn?t get enough of it!
Set with the unusual backdrop of newly built, extraordinary and very classy looking hotels built into the high volcanic rock the Amadores beach should not be missed. The beach itself is actually manmade and almost forms a complete circle with the sand being crescent shaped with huge boulders then arching out into the water leaving only a fairly...
