Bananas is the clearance website for The Bookpeople - who you may be familiar with as providing cheap books through their website and also often through a buy-on-sight scheme that visits many workplaces and schools. The Book People have been going since 1988, but the clearance website is a newer venture, set up last year I believe. ...Banana Puffs are a new and limited edition of 'Sugar Puffs'. I actually don't like sugar puffs because I prefer crunchy cereals but seeing as this was on special offer at £1 for 320g box at Asda, I thought it would be worth a try. The box is very appealing to children with the bright yellow box and floaty blue writing saying 'Banana Puffs.' The familiar face of the 'Honey Monster' is featured on the front, holding a banana to his mouth so that he appears to be smiling down on a bowl fulla CG 'Banana puffs.' I think 'Honey Monster Foods' are trying to promote this as a healthy product as the box exclaims - 'No artifical anything' and 'Fortified with vitamins and minerals'. A 'banana' life saver!

...This product is designed to prevent your banana getting battered and bruised in transit, which would make it ideal a public transport commuter or bike rider like me. The guard itself is made of polypropylene plastic with 4 rows of small holes along the entire length. This is so that your banana can 'breathe' thereby preventing it from early ripening. Going Bananas!

Advantages: Excellent well balanced beer with a hint of bananas.
Disadvantages: There are bananas - so if you really don't like them you're scuppered!

...Harry has never really been keen on brushing his teeth, but at the moment it seems a constant struggle for us to get his mouth open to even get the toothbrush in! I've tried many different toothpastes to get him to like brushing his teeth but nothing seemed to work. But I went to Tesco last weekend and saw this new Kids toothpaste in 'Banana milkshake' flavour for a bargain price and knowing how much Harry loves all things banana, I figured it was worth a try! As I mentioned, the flavour of the toothpaste is 'Banana Milkshake' and is a toothpaste aimed at young children. ...I first heard about Bananas.co.uk from a review online. The site is a relatively new offshoot of the Book People, essentially operating as a clearance section by selling off older stock at bargain prices. All different types of book can be found on the site but there seemed considerably more choice available in the children's section than in the adults', certainly as far as fiction goes. There are also non-fiction titles available, including autobiographies and cookery books. There really is something for everyone here although, admittedly, there are not as many titles available as you would expect from a mainstream site, rather than a clearance booksellers. The site was easy to use with all the books available being placed under different categories. There was also a seperate search function if you were looking for a specific title...

This one used to be well-loved by me, and without hesitation I threw it into our trolley ** The lid of the corner, is the only way to distinguish between the many corners. This particular one, was a orange-ish/yellow colour for around 3 quarters of the lid. The top right hand corner, has the illusion the foil lid is being peeled back, revealing a scrumptious looking chocolate flaked section. ...I buy Tesco's Loose Bananas every week and I always take one to work with me as part of my pack-up. I have bought Bananas from other Supermarkets as well as from my local Grocers but I find that the selection at Tesco is always good and they are by far the cheapest that I have discovered. It is possible to buy Bananas in sealed packs but I prefer to buy them loose so that I can select the perfect ripeness to see me right to the end of the week. This is achieved by choosing ripe, yellow coloured ones for the beginning of the week and green, unripe ones for later in the week. Bananas ripen quickly so they are best kept in a dark place since a green Banana will ripen and turn Yellow within 48 hours if exposed to daylight.
