Banana Boat - Get On The Boat!

Advantages: Lovely packaging and smell.
Disadvantages: Greasy and not great sun protection.

...Banana Boat is usually my sun protection of choice whenever I go on holiday. This is down to the tropical looking packaging, exotic name and a scent that screams beach, pool and summer sun! Maybe this isn't the best way to choose a sun protectant but as I have sun resistant skin I have never been overally worried and it has always left me burn and problem free, however with this particular product I was left more disappointed. I was left burnt despite claiming complete protection and I followed the instructions perfectly. As for the Oil Free claim well I was greasy, my friends were greasy and even the hotel floor was greasy, it was rather unpleasant and despite my fondness for the smell I don't think thin I'll use this particular one again....

Advantages: Very cooling and soothing. Multi-purpose!

A Holiday Essential

Advantages: Great for sunburn, reasonably priced if you shop around, leaves skin feeling soft and smooth, feels cool to the touch, spreads easily, lasts forever!
Disadvantages: Can be expensive if you do not shop around, the kids keep pinching it!

Rocking the Boat

1 Boat - 8 DJs - No Morals - Fab film!

Advantages: great British film

...I had wanted to see The Boat that Rocked ever since I saw a preview of it on my Mama Mia DVD that I got for Christmas. As it's a British film from the makers of such films as Notting Hill and Love Actually, and it stars Billy Nighy and Rhys Ifans I felt it was definitely going to tick all the right boxes. It subsequently made its way on to my Amazon wish list and finally appeared all neatly wrapped, thanks to my husband, for my birthday last week! We duly settled down to watch the DVD last night and I have to say that the next two hours and ten minutes passed in a very enjoyable flash.
