HI express Banbury,Excellent value + comfort close to Silverstone

Advantages: located within a few miles of Silverstone racetrack and close to 2 chain restraunts.
Disadvantages: Bar prices,no bath in room

...We chose this Hotel for a weekend break to watch the motorsport at Silverstone because of its close proximity. We had stayed in alot of Holiday Inns in the past so we didn't have extremely high expectations, just somewhere for us to rest our heads inbetween the action at the race track! we were pleasantly suprised however when we arrived to a lovely new hotel which had fantastic motorway links and beautiful surroundings, being on the outskirts of the picturesque town of Banbury. The lobby was large and very modern in decor and the reception desk was manned by two very polite members of staff who checked us in efficiently and gave us all the information on breakfast times etc.. Probably a very Nice Place To Shop

Advantages: Very Pleasant, Easy to get round on foot, nice people , good restaurants

...This opinion will be , by definition, very sketchy. I’ve been working in Banbury recently, but my days have been spent “at work” leaving little time to explore the place. I’m going to be down there quite a bit so I’ll update this op as I discover more about the place. Looking at the map , Banbury is roughly half way between Birmingham and London , and can be reached fairly easily by train from these places and Bristol. I’m not sure how you get there by car, but I’ve noticed lots of non multi-storey car parks in the town centre, along with notices encouraging people to come and shop in Banbury as it’s so easy to park. The Fleur-de-Lis, Banbury (Wetherspoons)

...On a Saturday it is very hard to find a mid day restaurant where 8 adults and a todler can all sit together. So when my family all got together in Banbury we did a lot of research and came up with two places. One was extremely busy the other was The Fleur-de-Lis which is a Wetherspoons which we settled for. Genuine market town

Advantages: Pretty
Disadvantages: None

...Banbury is a genuine market town. Most of our really beautiful towns with character are somewhat smaller and tend to be populated with antique shops. The marvellous thing about Banbury is that it is living. A new shopping mall and a new Debenhams have appeared and all in the middle of a market town with its medieval street pattern. And the new centre does not spoil it at all. There is also a canal. And I mustn't forget the market which you see on Saturdays as lively as any. Banbury is easily reached by train, but parking is not as much as a problem as you might think. Next time you want to go to an out-of-town shopping centre with a difference go to Banbury. You'll enjoy it....

Three Men and a Little Lady

It is a very posh ladies school and the character is played perfectly. It is played by the Irish actress Fioan Shaw who has been in many many English films, including Harry Potter and is someone you would immediately recognise. She plays a typical school mam and tries to seduce Peter, much to his horror. Soon though they become good friends and she offers to help him with the guys plan to stop the wedding. A lot of the English scenes were filmed in Banbury, Oxfordshire and it really shows the typical beautiful English countryside.
