A 99 Calorie caramel snack bar

...As part of the ongoing quest to loose some weight I have been sampling the snacks made by Slimfast. Each one of the snacks has less than 100 calories making them the ideal choice if you just need to have a nibble. I get cravings for chocolate, (especially around *that* time of the month), and so I thought I would try this to see if it would indeed satisfy those cravings. The Slimfast Caramel bars are like squished Mars bars. They have nougat, caramel and chocolate but they are a lot smaller, a lot thinner and somehow more dense. They taste similar to a Mars bar but a lot sweeter, (which is saying something as I find Mars Bars sweet enough), and it is a strange sweetness that hangs around for ages after eating. As I have mentioned they are very dense which makes them very chewy and claggy in your mouth, inevitably coating the top...

sweet and sickly cereal bars

...My oldest daughter sometimes takes a cereal bar to school for her mid morning snack. I am not necessary a fan of cereal bars as a healthy snack, as I think they have a lot of sugar in. (The school classes them as healthy). Whilst doing the supermarket shop I saw these 'Jammie Dodgers snack bar' I thought they would make a nice change as a treat, so I bought a box of 6. I can't remember how much I paid but probably over £2. Each cereal bar is 23g and contains 94 calories which is about average for a cereal bar. One also contains 16.2g of carbohydrate of which 7.8g of that is sugar. (just over a third of the bar). The salt content is ok it only contains a trace of sodium, all other nutrients are minimal - i.e. protein 0.7g, fibre 0.8g etc. The bar itself has crisped rice which a lot of cereal bars have but, running through...

A tasty, filling, low calorie snack bar

...I have been working on the RNLI stall on Llandudno seafront on Sundays during the summer selling lifeboat souvenirs and as the stall was open from 8am until 6pm I needed some food and drink to take with me that wouldn?t ruin my diet which is still going well if a little slowly at the moment. Transform A Snack

Advantages: A decent crisp...

...Another culinary delight for you here (and it is a delight!), that is the world-renowned Transform-A-Snack...well, renowned in parts of the UK I guess... One walking around a local Tesco Metro yesterday lunchtime I came across these bad boys right next to the Space Raiders...of course, the first dilemma was which one of these to choose. Both were 25p, 28 gram bags and undoubtedly awful compared to some of the other crisps on offer, but easily the cheapest! I've risked it all though and gone for the "TAS." They come in a 'spicy' flavour, which fear not, just tastes like tomato rather than some outlandish spiced products from the sub-continent...oh wait, we're talking about budget crisps here... Most people will remember these from their youth, the same with Space Raiders, but the packaging has improved slightly from what I remember...

Kinder Chocolate Snack Bars Introduction Everybody has heard of, and most of us have had, a Kinder product at some point in the past, whether it be a Kinder Surprise Egg, a Kinder Bueno or one of these Chocolate Snack bars. Back in the old days, the only Kinder products I knew of were the Kinder Eggs, which contained a small yellow tub with a little toy inside. I myself was hardly ever allowed them (and now I pay the bills myself I know why when they used to cost around 70p, and even now cost over 50p!), but when I was I just loved the taste of the gorgeous chocolate with the milky white chocolate inside the milk chocolate shell. Happy snack highchair

...When my 4 month old little boy tipped him bouncer seat up for the thrid time, due to his size, I decided that would have to get on the internet and the Argos catalogue out and get him a highchair. Despite all the available chairs stating that they are all suitable from 6 months to 3 years I decidede to use my own descretion as a mother and buy him one. I opted for the Chicco happy snack highchair due to the fact that it was a great price and the seat also reclined to 2 further positions aswell as the upright position. The highchair has a very sturdy metal frame which measures 27 inches high from floor to the bottom of the seat. the width is 18 inches and when opened out the depth of the legs spans 30 inches. The seat measures approximately 17 inches high and 14 inches wide, it is also approximately 10 inces deep. In total...

...the heavy to carry. The height is approximatly 37 inches from the legs to the top of the chair. The width is approximatly 18 inches. The open leg span is approximatly 30 inches. Safety The chair has a five point safety harness with grows with your child by sliding the buckles up or down, similar to what you would find on a pushchair. It also has a bar which goes in between the legs so as the child can not fall out the bottom. The tray cannot be moved without two buttons either side being pressed in at the same time so there is no chance that the child can trap fingers in it. The Mighty Mars Bar

It has long been my favourite as a kid and I sort of have to say it still is so as not to feel as if I have disowned it (sorry Mars Bar but I have found other favourites - I still love you though!). 'A Mars a day helps you work rest and play' - this was the little catchphrase that was associated with Mars Bar. Funny really; it's like saying a chocolate bar a day is good for you. The slogan has now changed to 'Pleasure you can't measure' which definitely seems more appropriate. A standard Mars bar comes at 58g, about 11cm long and 1.8cm high. You'll pay about 32p for this bar in supermarkets which is well below the norm of 50p. Disadvantages: Calories... but shhh and no one will know!

...Now no girl likes chocolate more than me and what would be better for a chocolate lover than a cake where you get double helpings of chocolate - not only mars bars but milk chocolate too! And that's the beauty of Mars Bar cake... above average amounts of chocolate! Now just to clarify, it's not strictly a cake as my definition of cake is typically something containing sponge or of a similar texture of sponge so perhaps Mars Bar biscuit would be more appropriate although it don't sound quite as tempting does it!
