Guns, Bums and Ogres in my Barn!

Advantages: Loads of books, cheap prices
Disadvantages: You may get lost and we may never see you again

...you can think about is curling up on the sofa with a good book. Then you see a sign: 'The Book Barn' 'Over a million used book' 'Open 7 days a week' '8am till 6pm' Hallelujah! My dreams appear to have been answered! A million books? Surely not! A slight exaggeration? A ploy to tempt us in? Unfortunately it wasn't on my usual work route so it was a couple of weeks before I could pop in. Eventually I did and lets just say its not in the most desirable of areas, its actually in the middle of a really tatty industrial estate near Temple Meads of Bristol. If you do visit, beware the speed bumps, they're almost square! Actually looking at the place is a little worrying, its not the most attractive place on the estate, tatty again. Wroxham Barns- Great family day out

Advantages: Cider and apple juice tasting, feeding the animals.
Disadvantages: Can smell in hot weather.

Barnes Brinkscraft I have visited the Norfolk broads many times with my growing family and always enjoyed it. We decided to hire a boat for our well earned break and although other companies had been good we thought we would try Barnes Brinkcraft. (This was my first mistake and one that ruined my break!) ...Towards the end of last year, I started looking for a caravan park to stay in for a week, near to my folks. After endless hours of searching, and emailing for prices, I picked Shear Barn. Oddly I had lived practically on top of it when I lived in Hastings, but didn't know it was there! During my first point of call, the staff seemed firendly enough, but unsure of prices for the next season. I found out that this was due to the park being taken over by Haulfryn Park Homes. I managed to get the caravan at last years prices. £335 for a six berth caravan, for a week. All paperwork that was sent was clear and well laid out. There were easy to follow instructions included of how to find the site, and a little information about places in the area to visit. Zoe Barnes bounces back!

Advantages: will make u laugh and leave u wanting more.
Disadvantages: easy to read and quick to get through

...Zoe Barnes is an excellant writer. She's witty and emotional and really gets to grips with her characters. This is book 4 for Zoe and as with all the others this is funny and will leave you wanting more. If i had to complain i'd say that i got through the book far to quickly. The characters are gritty and can leave you with a good knowledge of their back ground. In Bouncing Back you even fall in love with little Colin the Skunk! Basicaly Cally looses her job her husband and her home in one day. The book follows her ups, downs and turn-arounds back to some sort of a life. Pervious books by Zoe Barnes include Bumps, Hitched and Hot Property. All worth a read....

The Great Barn Maplecroft B&B is definately Great!

Advantages: Great location, friendly owners, good price, great breakfast, clean rooms

...The Great Barn Maplecroft B&B is situated in Bradford on Avon in Wiltshire only about 7 miles away from Bath. The family run business is based around a 13th Century Stone Barn, which the owners live in, having restored it from an old deralict shell about 12 years ago. The B&B itself is an annex off the house and contains 3 rooms, two double and one large family room (2 single beds and a double) all rooms are en-suite and provide coffee and tea making facilities and a TV. The rooms are decorated to an excellent standard and are kept exceptionally clean. Breakfast is served either in the beautiful conservatory (in the summer) or in the dining room (in the winter). You are offered more than enough food to fill yourselves up for the day. Cerals, toast, fruit, then comes the cooked breakfast, certainly one of the tastest i've ever had...

...Owls have always been associated with wisdom and wisdom is essential when considering a Barn Owl as a pet. Barn Owls require a lot of care and attention. They are nocturnal and so any time spent with them will largely be at twilight and they will make quite a bit of noise during the evening / night (not recommended if you have close neighbours). They require large purpose built aviary, workplace and specialist equipment. They eat and have to be fed dead chicks or mice. They will require specialist veterinary attention. All of which requires a lot of money! And so, if you feel that you can fulfill all their requirements, the Barn Owl does indeed make a beautiful and fulfilling pet.
