Perfect Pizza Base

A great Pizza Base Mix

...Asda Pizza Base Mix: I love making fresh pizzas from scratch but to be honest I can't always be bothered and activating the yeast doesn't always work me so I thought I would try the Asda pizza base mix so I could whip up some fresh pizzas at a moments notice. The mixes are really cheap at only 55p for a box that contains enough mix for two 8" pizza bases. To make the mix is easy; simply pour the mix into the bowl, (there are two individual packets), add some water, mix, knead, shape and leave to rise. The whole process only takes about 15 minutes all told. I have to say that I prefer "thin and crispy" type pizzas so these make two 10-12" bases for me. The instructions are easy to follow but they are written a little small so you need to pick the box up to read it which isn't great if your hands are already covered in dough etc! So now...

Ace of Base are definatley ACE

Advantages: Too many to mention

Highly recommend the Virgin Vie One Step Face Base

Advantages: Looks good and comes in a great compact, easy to put on and easy to remove.

...I was first introduced to this product when I went to a friends virgin vie at home party. The sales representative showed me the product and explained what it was and did. At a first glance the foundation is in a very attractive compact case. Over the years I have had about 4 different coloured cases, all of a very attractive design. The great thing about the foundation is that once you have bought the original foundation in the case for £15.00 you can then just buy the refill foundations for £11.50. The old refill just pops out and the new one just fits in. Really quick and easy. The product comes in 6 different shades. The foundation itself is very easy to use. You can either use it on top of a liquid base foundation which I personally do as I suffer from fairly dry skin, so therefore it looks better with a liquid base...

...This base is brillant! I got mine when my son was born and it is a god send! It was so easy to put the car seat in to it and didn't have the hassle of putting the car seat belt round and through the car seat itself as it went round the base instead. The car seat clip's in to the base so very easily and it is very easy to remove the car seat from the base, all you have to do is pull a leaver on the back of the car seat an wayhey the car seat was off! Body Shop All in One Face Base

Advantages: Lasts for up to 6 months, not cakey, kind to skin, stylish case, blends quite well
Disadvantages: few shades, not very affective on dark circles, possibly no refills, sponge cracks after a while

...Body Shop All in One Face Base, which is a combined foundation and powder, has been my foundation for 2 years now, it costs £11.50 but lasts me up to 6 months and I use it almost everyday, so it's very good value for money. It used to come with re-fills, but at my body shop I haven't seen any for a good few months, but this may not be the case for larger stores. If I remember correctly refills cost around £8.50.
