iPhone
Advantages: Great interface. Excellent Music Clarity.
Disadvantages: Limited Official Apps
...iPhone. The greatest device since GSM was first created? Yes and No. I've had the iPhone for just over 4 months and I have mixed feelings over the device. I used ZiPhone to unlock mine from AT&T in the US for use in Ireland.
Out of the box the iPhone is intruative (It has to be as a Manual is not included in the box). The box included a small quick start guide, a headset and the various connectors. Set up with iTune is a breeze even for a newbie.
The Home Screen on the iPhone differs from most WIndows based Smart devices as a simple press closes the running program down. I own a HTC Touch aswell and found it much easier to upgrade and customise than the iPhone. While the iPhone has a huge and diverse 3rd party App community you may have to wait a long time until an App you need comes about. However, once they are released you can...

iPhone
Advantages: Touchscreen, easy to use
Disadvantages: Slightly confusing menus
...phone (from what I have seen) even compares, the zoom in zoom out function is so cool, the way you can type is flawless... I could go on but basically the touchscreen is beautifully made and one the main aspects of the iPhone I feel.
The only bad point I have been able to think of with this Apple iPhone is the camera doesn't have a video function, which is slightly confusing as the camera quality is really good But, for some reason I don't miss video camera, possibly because I never used it on my old phone... But I am sure there are users out there that are really annoyed at the aspect of this.
Overall I well recommend the Apple iPhone, however at the time of writing this you are probably better of going for the new 3G one, unless you are lucky like me and get given one!...

The iPhone Masterpiece
Advantages: Visual beauty, ipod perfection, photo demon, movies screen, internet anywhere! PERFECT!
Disadvantages: cost and network locking (easily overcome) and ringtones (overcome aswell)
...pressing buttons, it also detects the amount of light in the room to adjust the screen brightness, you can turn this on and off obviously. The screen is basically impossible to scratch, it seems to be coated in some friction free material, so everything slides off it. Keys struggle to scratch the screen but can easily scratch the metallic edge of the device. Battery life is as much as you use it, about 48 hours with casual use, with wifi bluetooth, video watching, phone calling, you not going to get as much out of it.
Hope that helps...

the iPhone the phone that ticks all the boxes
Advantages: applications for everything, really intelligent and attractive phone
Disadvantages: the really good applications can be quite expensive, battery needs charged more often
...Having purchased an iPhone in the last few months I have to say that it has to be the best mobile phone that I have owned. At first it takes some time playing about with it and admittedly a couple of phone calls to Apple support to discover exactly how to get the most out of the phone and to get my head around using it but actually when you do get over the initial newness it is one of the easiest phones to use.
The iPhone has all the typical basic functions of any standard mobile phone but it then goes beyond that as i have been able to download loads of applications, there is a range of apps many are free and others have a charge for downloading them. Some of the applications i have downloaded are sky news, euro sports, games, facebook, and i am even learning Italian on my phone. The style of the phone and the way you can store your...

Apple iPhone negatives
Advantages: MacBook or Desktop in your pocket
Disadvantages: Less of a phone more of a PSP
...If you need a pocket sized version of your Mac then this is for you.
Its secondary use is a phone. . small things like not being able to send MMS and even forward any text messages you have received are simple things Apple could have put into the iPhone.
Also the iPhone has NO video camera function????
It does crash sometimes which is very annoying especially when on a phonecall.
Also have you ever written a text only to press the send button and realise your sending it to the wrong person. . most phones have a cancel option. . but NOT the iPhone!!!
The battery lasts the most I found 24 hours thats with normal usage ie iPod for around 2hours a day and maybe an hours talktime.
I think more attention has been paid to the applications and the design of the phone rather that the basic phone features.
If I had know all...

The best iPod / Phone!
Advantages: unbelivably sexy and beautiful, wonderful internet and video / music
Disadvantages: needs a couple of firmware updates to become the perfect phone
...Given the rather briefness of the other iPhone reviews on Ciao, and given I've actually GOT one, I thought I'd do a proper review prior to the iPhone being launched in the UK.
Some history:
Apple have been making computers since the 1970's and were the first people to launch what we now call a home computer with the Apple II microcomputer in 1977. Since then, they have been at the front of design and innovation, despite having a few failures along the way, such as the Apple Newton in the 1990's. Apple have recently had two turnarounds, the first being the launch of the iMac in 1998 (basically a portable TV size computer with screen, but with funky colours and all in one design) and the other in 2001 when Apple launched the iPod... The rest, as they say, is history!
iPhone history:
During late 2006, rumours were...

iPhone, a technological step backwards.
Advantages: Nice graphical user interface, easy to use.
Disadvantages: Poor camera, no MMS, difficult to replace battery, no 3G, and many more.
...doesn't even allow the recording of video, something that even very basic £50 mobile phones can perform (albeit it with very small VGA cameras).
In this day and age, a lot of people like to use MP3's as ringtones....this is simply not possible with the iPhone, and leaves the user having to listen to almost polyphonic ringtones as an alternative.
The next flaw is something I realised only by chance. My friend called to advise that he had sent me a picture message, but I hadn't received it. I contacted my service provider, expecting them to send the settings through to me......only to be informed that the iPhone isn't even capable of receiving MMS!
When trying to compose a text response, I found it really very difficult to text back on. The lack of physical keyboard can make composing a reply really quite difficult, and I have quite...

Apple iPhone
Advantages: read review
Disadvantages: read review
...As everyone know, iPhone became really famous after this product got in the store. In a sense, It's a copy of iPod touch, at least, because of the outlook and of course, because of music player. Here is my review about iPhone.
Why iPhone is good?
Of course iPhone is very famous, because of It's outlook. Of course outlook is great, there is a one big touch sensitive screen and one button, what has only one function - bring you back to "home". You don't need some stick to move menus, It's really easy to surf in menu with your finger.
All things functions so coherently, and It's really unfamiliar, example, to use WiFi, you don't have to change any options or retool profiles and you don't have to worry. All things what you haven't done, and you want do continue it later, it always opens from same place and everything is auto...

iPhone I like
Advantages: Modern technology, amount of software and number of devices.
Disadvantages: No protective case.
...iPhone finally arrived on the UK market on the 9th November although not with the same amount of media attention it received in the U.S. it was still popularly accepted by the UK market.
I bought mine on the 19th November for £269. This seems expensive but you get a digital camera, ipod and phone all rolled in to one with iphone + internet browsing and e-mail capability, also included are elements of a personal organiser (diary and notepad).
The main feature of the phone is the touch screen technology which operates everything.
Without boring you with technical detail I will tell you what I got from iphone.
There are 17 screens (buttons you can push on the face of the camera.) The 4 on the bottom horizontal strip are the phone, e-mail, internet browsing and i-pod.
There 13 buttons on top from left to right in 3 rows of 4 +1 are...

iPhone 3G. What a phone!!!!!!
Advantages: Stylish, fast, too many applications and uses to name!!
Disadvantages: poor battery life on some applications, camera isnt great, no video.
...I have had my iphone for almost a year now and it is easily the best overall mobile phone I have ever had. Don't get me wrong, it is not without its problems, but once you have one of these beauties for a while you will fall in love with it.
Apart from the obvious sleek good looks, the iphone has changed the way I do a lot of things in my day to day life. This is helped by Apples brilliant "App store", where you can download a seemingly endless array of applications, some free, and others you have to pay for (although they normally cost less than £1). These range from games to social networking (Facebook etc) to sports to health & Fitness to news etc etc etc. The list seems to go on and on.
I have found that since getting my iphone my home pc has barely been used at all. I can use the phone to take photos, although I have to admit...
