...I bought this product because I like basketball games a lot, so I wanted to own a basketball game. When I first got the game, I sat down at the computer and started to play it, I realized that this game was awesome! The graphics were awesome and I felt like I was at the game itself, inside the game! I suggest that everybody who plays this game, should have a 3D fix with it. It looks much better with it!! I think that people who like basketball, basketball games or just like sports games should buy this product to really feel the game, but also, people who just want to try out something, should buy NBA Live 2000!... ...Although NBA games and BasketBall games in general are nothing new, this game really drags you in. The graphic at 60fps are stunning and really do a great job of showing those great close-up moments when you slam dunk right in front of your opponent's face. Even the shine on the polished court is there. The sound is just right although after a while you will notice that the commentary does not necessarily go with the action! Small niggles aside, this game is the best Basketball game I have ever played (and there have been quite a few!) Even non-basketball fans will find themselves playing, and loving, this game, so it's not an exclusive game by any means.... Read review

As soon as i Opened the Packaging I Slotted CD into the Machine, Powered It UP, To find the intro screen, (one of the best ive seen) light up the tv, but after that the game went downhill,.. Don't get me wrong the Game has all the options You could expect like Season, Playoff, and of course Exibition Modes, also the most up to date roster on any game, (apart from NBA Live 2000) but when I got to the game Itself It felt very dull and boring, the players seem lifeless, the basic controls, and of course sound are of the highest quality, but to be quite honest the game in all was pretty boring, and EA Sports , You can do Better,.. ...I got alone of this game from my mate Steve a few weeks ago. I had never played a basketball game before this. Playing the Game: There is a choice of season, play-offs or exhibition play. I prefer to play the play-offs. When you start playing the game you think you are great when you run straight up to the net and score a hoop. Unfortunately it is just as easy for the computer to come back and score on their first shot. If the computer team is behind in the last quarter they foul you at any opportunity they have, But if they are winning they will play about with the ball so you haven’t got a hope in winning. The difficulty level doesn’t seem to make a difference. The graphics make the players look dead realistic. High scoring matches make it a brilliant laugh with a friend. ...I have been a big fan of basketball games ever since tecmo basketball for the old sega genesis. Each year the games improve their game play and realism. I have NBA Live 96 of Sega genesis and NBA Live 97 for my computer. NBA Live 2000 blows both of those away; even the computer version. My biggest compliant about NBA Live 97 was that I could just push the opposing player out of bounds and create a ton of turnovers. NBA Live 2000 has fixed that problem. You can no longer push people out of bounds and if you try to hard you will get called for the foul. The graphics and gameplay are absolutely unbelievable. The players have a variety of moves and dunks are very realistic (you don't always succeed with a dunk, ala Shaq's missed dunks in the playoffs last year). ...out as cannot cope with the new regjime but the way the story is handled and developed is a creidt to the direcros. As you may imageine is that the guy who quits the team,eventually wants to come back and realises that gang warfare isnot hte way to go in life. Whilst this part of the story isgoing on the rest of the team are also suffereing. Coach Carter made the team sign a contract at the begining of the season stating that each person on the team had to maintain a certain grade averagein order to keep their place. This grade average was actaully over and above the set standard for basketball players at school. Needless to say that the coach keeps to his word, lock the sports hall and cancels all games until all students achieve the average. ...The compilation comprises of three, genre spanning, quality games. Porsche challenge is the little brother of Porsche unleashed, and is based purely on the Bolster. Its good clean arcade fun, almost, but not wanting to be simulation. Good for an aggression session. Populous is god game, good for all ages, especially those who fondly remember the original (when will they bring us a new Power Monger?) for those with time on their hands. Finally NBA 2000 is basketball at its digital finest. EA brings basketball to us with the same finely crafted detail as it does soccer in its Fifa series. Good action and tactical fun too.
