...Bath time is fun time for babies! They love to play with their toys and splash around but there's always that element of worry knowing that your baby is playing in water and that the bath is very slippy so you do need to keep your baby as safe as possible. The usual bath mats work really well but they are really plain and boring looking and, from what I remember when we ewre younger, they used to go mouldy very quickly especially the white ones! I saw these Clippasafe mini bath mats and thought they looked so much nicer and decided to give them a go and see if they would work okay for us and if they would be fun for our baby too! Slippery Eels & Dead Bath Mats

There are several disadvantages to Oilatum other than the simple fact that it didn't work for us including the fact that there are no bubbles, now where is the fun in a bath for a toddler when there are no bubbles. The lotion also leaves a nasty grimy layer around the bath (and an oily layer over your child) when the water has drained away requiring quite a bit of elbow grease to remove it, you have to be careful to properly clean the bath out after use otherwise an oily film will be left coating it and will be dangerous for the next person using the bath as they could slip over. ...I decided to in go out and buy this product when i started bathing my nephew in the bath tub. He can sit confidently on the mat while he plays with his toys without a problem. Before i got one on these mats i was having to hold on to him to make sure he didnt slip and i found it tricky trying to hold him and wash him at the same time. I like the fact that the mat is white rather than a really loud, in your face colour. I leave the mat in the bath tub as it helps me as well as i am very heavily pregant (about ready to drop) it lowers the risks of me slipping over in the bath to, and i will continue to use it with my own child when she is old enough to go in the bath.
