Oil me up baby!

Advantages: Scent was nice
Disadvantages: Bubbles didn't last lond

...17 of the leading soaps at the time. Dove came to the UK 12 years ago and became famous for its bath time products and body washes. In 2000 dove started branching out into to deodorants, hair care and body moisturisers, in 2004 came the firming range (and not a moment to soon for me anyway!) Dove is now running the campaign for real beauty, let's be honest you must have been living on the moon if you haven't seen the adverts basically they are using real women of all shapes and sizes for their advertising instead of stick thin models. PRODUCT STATEMENT Relax and unwind after a long day. Dove Cream & Oil Beauty Bath combines Dove moisturising cream and a unique blend of essential oils of lavender and jasmine in two phases. Together they moisturise and care for your skin, while a soothing fragrance envelopes you with a sensation...

Review of Dove Cream and Oil Bath

Goodbye moisturiser, Hello bubble baths!

Advantages: moisturises, cleanses, leaves skin radiant, abolishes dry skin and itchyness
Disadvantages: quite expensive (but totally worth it!)

...I have always suffered from various allergies and as a result I almost constantly have itchy skin. I occasionally get small patches of eczema and my skin is always dry and uncomfortable. I have tried moisturisers but most just aggravate my skin and block my pores. Those that are successful take so long to apply head to toe that I never get round to it. After a recommendation I had started using E45 cream for areas of my skin that were particularly dry and itchy, I had been very impressed by this and was immediately on the lookout for any other E45 products. In Tesco I discovered E45 Emollient bath oil. It was quite pricey at £7.99 for a 500ml bottle or £4.50 for a 250ml bottle. The bottle itself is plain, white with a screw top cap and looks like it belongs in a medical cabinet! I decided to go full hog and buy the biggest bottle...

Diamond review  ~ Bath ~

Advantages: Amazing views, Great history, lots to see and do.
Disadvantages: parking!! too many tourists in the summer.

...~ Bath ~ The City of Bath has been my main home for all my life. Even though I live just outside of Bath it has always been the closest big city where I have spent a lot of time. I used to go to college there and work but now I do not visit the City so much and only go in for meals and rugby matches. Never the less it is still a fantastic place to visit. The Georgian City is beautifully structured has is set amongst the countryside. It has many places to visit and much to learn about the history of the town. Bath is one of the world?s greatest cities and is a huge tourist attraction to everyone around the globe. Even though I cannot understand why so many people come to the city I do think it is a great place with a lot of beautiful views. Bath is a unique City and has so many features to form its beauty. It has been...

Greasy bath toys anyone?

Advantages: I got it free on prescription
Disadvantages: not effective and makes a mess

...My daughter suffers from eczema. She has got it quite badly affecting most of her skin and I find it very difficult to ease it. I have tried many products for her, from ones I have bought myself to ones only available on prescription from the doctor. One of the products I have tried is Balneum bath oil. The bath oil was recommended by my health visitor. I should tell you now that I do not like my health visitor and most of the advice she has ever given me has been completely useless or totally wrong. She's the type of person that automatically assumes that because I am a young mum and I no longer live with the father of my children, I must be useless and stupid. Anyway, she recommended I bath Jessica in this bath oil on a daily basis. I had already explained to her that bathing Jessica dries her skin out very quickly...

Dove Cream and Oil - Not as good as I hoped

Advantages: Leave skin softer
Disadvantages: Bubbles don't last, fragrance not great.

...Dove Cream and Oil is described on the bottle as a beauty bath with ¼ moisturising cream. Dove states that ?relieving stress is the first step in taking care of yourself and looking after your skin is the second?. They have therefore designed the dove cream and oil beauty bath to help you relieve stress and to moisturise your skin. If you want to know whether it works read on. ***Cost and Availability*** The Dove Cream and Oil is widely available in most supermarkets and shops like Boots and Superdrug. It costs around £2.30 for a 500ml bottle. ***The Bottle*** Dove Cream and Oil comes in a large curved bottle which narrows at the top and holds 500ml. It is a white opaque colour so you can see the product through the bottle. It?s an attractive product to look at as the bright purple oil sits at the bottom of the bottle...

Who has had a wee in my bath?

Advantages: Smells wonderful and is kind to the skin
Disadvantages: It cost £10 which is alot of money

...I have spent a lot of time reading reviews here lately and it became apparent that there are various trends of beauty products which rapidly become popular. The one range which caught my eye was Burt's Bee's because I had seen their stock for sale in my local chemist which seemed to have a whole shelf dedicated to the products and because I had yet to read a bad review about them I decided to treat myself on payday. Now I am not a big fan of Lush, that might be shocking to some of you but although I have never used any of their products I simple cannot abide the smell of the shop when walking past, it really is too strong and with that in mind I decided that I should try with something straightforward and plumped for the Burt's Bees Vitamin E Body and Bath Oil, not the type of product I would usually buy because I am a big fan...

Balneum Oil helps Ezcema

Advantages: Kind to dry skin conditions such as Eczema
Disadvantages: leaves a oily coating in the bath

...Balneum Oil has proved to be an excellent method for keeping my son's skin soft after bathing. He suffers with Ezcema and has very dry skin which is aggravated after a bath but this coats his skin and keeps it soft. I added Balneum Oil to my own bath to try it as I also suffer with dry skin since moving to a hard water area some years ago. It does not mix with the water but coats all the areas submerged and remains on the skin until you towel dry. You can feel the difference immediately. How much is actually absorbed into the skin I don't know but theres no need rub it in, towel drying as you would normally is enough. It does not leave your skin oily so you can dress straight away. My skin felt really soft, smooth and fresh. It has helped to stop my son from itching as now his skin doesn't dry out as quickly...

Bio Oil

Advantages: Reduces stretchmarks, uneven skin tone, scars etc
Disadvantages: A little bit expensive but worth it

...I have been using Bio Oil twice a day for the last six months and I am amazed at the results. I had never heard of Bio Oil before until my mum bought me a bottle, she bought me a bottle of it because I was forever complaining about the appearance of the stretch marks I have on my belly and boobs. My stretch marks started appearing at the age of seventeen when I was pregnant my son and I'm now twenty two. So for the last five years I have been really embarrassed by the look of them because they were bright purple and clearly visible. I was convinced that the stretch marks would always remain the same colour and never fade, I even nicknamed my stretch marked belly, I call it my Freddie Crougar belly. Bio Oil is an oil based substance which can be used to treat and reduce the appearance of skin problems such as scars stretch marks...

Olbas Oil

Advantages: Cheap, seems to be working
Disadvantages: None

...of natural ingredients such as juniper berry and eucalyptus. The other way they recommend using Olbas oil is by adding a few drops to your bath and inhaling the vapours that way or adding it to hot water and leaving the vapours to release in your room overnight. I haven?t tried either of these ways but it?s nice to know it?s quite a versatile product with a number of uses to help sort out your cold. I especially like the overnight idea as the product will keep on working even when you are asleep. According to their website it is suitable for adults and children as young as three months but I would check with a doctor or pharmacist if you have any concerns before using. A 15ml bottle of Olbas Oil from Boots costs £2.93 and I?m sure will last quite a long while as I have really only used a couple of drops since I got it and the bottle looks...

Have an Olay Bath with Ylang ylang & Jasmine

Advantages: Ph Balanced delicious fragrance Luxurious
Disadvantages: Bit Expensive.

...OOh........! mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm! Ahhhhhhhhhhhh! That is the only way to decribe Olay's NEW! Moisturising bath foam with the soothing aromatherapic oils of Ylang ylang and Jasmine. As the aromatherapy fans amongst us will know, the Jasmine flower and the Ylang Ylang have been used for centuries- their particular benefits are as the bottle states: Soothing and gentle enough for sensitive skins. Ylang Ylang is also used to arouse the sensuality in yer..and has a mild seductive sensual smell.. often used to whip a partner or two into a seductive sensual mood ready for the love making. This definately smells lush, its' only drawback is its slightly sweet/feminine smell so no good for you men. I have also found it to be relaxing enough to use as a pre- bedtime treat. But-I hasten to add although ph balanced it is...
